Buried in the
coronavirus bill are a couple of provisions.
One, small businesses must give employees TWO WEEKS of PAID time off for the illness. Businesses get a tax credit on next year's taxes. That assumes the business survives.
The second mandates three months of paid leave to care for family member, etc. This is a small business mandate and I did not see a tax credit provision for this mandate.
There are a lot of small businesses that cannot survive these mandates.
EDIT: I just rechecked and it looks like the three month provision is silent on whether it has to be paid leave or not. Still, how many small businesses can take that hit.

Now, if there were something in the bill about Congress-critters having forced three-months leave away from Congress -- and not being able to make laws, I think I could get behind that pretty easily.
