Most notoriously, she was found guilty of ordering the kidnapping of a 14-year-old boy, Stompie Seipei, who was beaten and later had his throat slit.

Madikizela-Mandela was acquitted of all but the kidnapping, but the incident remains the greatest stain on her record; years later, she was convicted of more than 40 charges of fraud.

A big advocate of "necklacing" in which a tire full of gasoline was placed around the necks of suspected "traitors" or "collaborators" - meaning anyone who opposed her revolutionary activiities - was then set on fire and the person immolated in horrible fashion.

In short, she was a monster. We should not be surprised that South Africa is now becoming a Zimbabwean hellhole, with whites being rounded up like cattle.

I wouldn't want to be in her shoes; she has much to answer for and she's facing a judge who knows exactly who she is and what she did.
