Pete Hegseth's accuser has admitted to being recruited to sign an affidavit and said she was "promised her statement would corroborate others and affect key votes". It's clear she was recruited by Democrats to help take down Hegseth.
Who?
In what has become a classic pattern in the politics of personal destruction this woman - Hegseth's former sister-in-law - came forward at the last minute to accuse Hegseth of abusing his wife (who denied the allegations).
How many times have we seen this pattern in the past, these last minute accusations shepherded by Democrats? Remember Brett Kavanaugh? How about Clarence Thomas?
For that matter this is what they did to Missouri Governor Eric Greitens; recruited a woman who had admitted to a voluntary affair with Greitens to bring charges.
This is the politics of personal destruction. It's the nastiest, most vile form of political theater there is.
Who promised this woman? Who was she working with? The FBI should investigate.

That his own wife says it didn't happen is immaterial; all that matters is the accusation. It's not the substance of the evidence but the seriousness of the charge, as some Democrat once put it.
