1 What would be interesting to do would be to issue every one of these idiots a permit to "demonstrate," but only if they could articulate a coherent reason why they believe Trump is acting like a king. They'd have to use complete sentences. The reason wouldn't have to matter, it would just have to be coherent. And as soon as the person said "F**k you," he or she'd have to go to the back of the line and start over.

I wonder how many college professors you'd stall that way?

2 If that were legal it would work beautifully. Sadly it would violate multiple statutes, I am sure.

Now you get answers like "we're like fighting the fawscists!" or "to "to stop Trump from ignoring the courts (which he hasn't done), or to "stop deporting American citizens (which of course he isn't). That's when you get any sort of answer. Most are just "because like Trump SUCKS".

3 Yeah, I'm sure it would be illegal, but at least you'd be forcing people to at least try to think. And if they were able to come up with halfway decent answers you'd give 'em a permit and say "OK, go, baby." And maybe you'd have slowed 'em down a bit.

But it's true that a lot of people who say they oppose Trump haven't given it a bit of thought.
