Top 'O the morning to ye! (And the rest of the day for meself!) Wishing everyone a fun and happy St. Patrick's day, even if every celebration of the Wearin' O' the Green has been canceled. Me, I'm going to cook up some corned beef and cabbage and drink a little dram of whiskey.
Here is a link to a Catholic website telling all about the patron saint of Ireland. Patrick was imprisoned in Ireland as a boy and escaped from slavery. As he came to know The Lord he felt called to return to Ireland and bring the Good News of Salvation to the largly barbarous peoples of the Emerald Isles.
Do read it all and ponder it. And do celebrate the man who Christianized Ireland and drove out all the snakes (so the legend has it.)

Your history lesson for the day. No need to thank me; I do these things as a public service.
