Graham and Tudor Turtle Box Pelosi in on Impeachment

Lindsay Graham (the cracker) and Mitch (the bitch) McConnell have slammed the door shut on Nancy Pelosi (the San Francisco Bleat); they have issued a resolution demanding a fair impeachment inquiry and vote at the threat of summary judgement in the Senate.

The document:

• calls on the House of Representatives, prior to proceeding any further with its impeachment investigation into President Trump, to vote to initiate a formal impeachment inquiry;
• calls on the House of Representatives to provide President Trump, like every other American, with due process, to include the ability to confront his accusers, call witnesses on his behalf, and have a basic understanding of the accusations against him that would form any basis for impeachment; and
• calls on the House of Representatives to provide members of the minority with the ability to participate fully in all proceedings and have equal authority to issue subpoenas and other compulsory process.

This has forced Norn, er, Nan to reverse course and call for a vote on impeachment - after having resolutely opposed such a vote.

So the Attack Turtle and the Crumbly Cracker have boxed in the Norn.

Pelosi didn't want this. An impeachment vote puts many vulnerable Democrats on the spot, and it closes off all avenues to her. Once done it cannot be undone. She knows that.

At this point Pelosi is trying to do damage control. I doubt she wants this, but has little choice. She's hoping to get this out of the way quickly now, methinks.
