Global Oil Shortage

Timothy Birdnow

We had a glut just a short time ago. What has changed? Why did it change now?

A Global Oil Shortage is Inevitable

1 The best thing that could happen -- but won't -- is for governments to lose their fantasies about wind and solar becoming the dominant energy sources and accept that oil still drives the world.

The lack of supply is driven by a lack of production, as this article points out, and apparently Big Money is somewhat reluctant to invest in drilling projects for fear of criticism by the enviro-wackos (too many of whom inhabit governments around the world). The "green energy" nuts should be forced to spend a winter in an area where their policies have caused shortages -- let 'em see what it's like when you have to turn the thermostat down to 60 when it's -20 outside.

2 Agreed. I had this argument with a dimwit just recently.

Conservation and minimal-power output technology are fine on paper or in a comfortable climate. Not so entertaining when you have to endure it yourself.
