Bill Gates, among others, is backing the Harvard Stratospheric
Controlled Perturbation Experiment. The SCoPEx is researching a form of
"geoengineering" to prevent global warming. In this case, they're
exploring the idea of spraying tiny particles into the air to reflect
sunlight and make the earth cooler. Towards that end, Harvard
scientists are planning to fly a balloon full of equipment 12 miles
above Sweden next year to gather data.
This from the guy who gave us Windows Vista and crashed everyone's computer with Windows 10 updates.

Gates should really go back to Microsquash and play with operating systems again instead of coming up with crazy ideas like this. Windows might well be better for it.
I never had to deal with Vista, though I've heard horror stories galore about it. I have Win 10 on all but one of my machines now and am prepared to state for the record that it is the devil's OS. Win 7 was a great OS, as was XP before it.

Actually, as you know Dana, I have Vista on my laptop now. It's not TOO bad. I liked Windows 98 better (my old operating system before getting this laptop.)
I know my brother Brian despises 10.
I have Windows 8 on another laptop (the one I never use - the Esperanto laptop.) I don't know if it's the operating system but it's slower than my old Vista system. I never use it; can't even get into this blog on it.
