This video is an excellent video on the challenges ahead to develop controlled nuclear fusion as an energy source to power our utility grids and the many "start-up fusion " enterprises...both private and government...which comprise the highest of scientific and high tech scams to the investment community.

This in no way alters my personal feeling that controlled nuclear fusion is the future of our energy industry...in 1 100 plus years...

This video refutes some very optimistic claims about fusion power and discuss some of the challenges in making this long-sought after technology a reality.

I have long suspected fusion is not going to be a viable option. The sun is a great source of fusion but only because of it's mass and density. We are trying to replicate that in a small space, and that requires large amounts of power to do so. Yes, we can get it to work, but it will never be economically viable energy, methinks. It's a false path, like wind and solar. How much time and money have we wasted on this will-o-the-wisp
