I remember the old days of the Soviet Union; they often bragged about how they didn't have all the problems we Westernors had to deal with, like teen pregnancy or protests or drug abuse. Of course the reason they didn't have those was because kids were too busy just trying to survive and had no time to get into any trouble. Sure it solves the problem but at what cost?
