Timothy Birdnow

Here is pure chutzpah!

E.U. Demand It's Judges Keep Control After Brexit

What kind of Brexit would it be if the E.U. retains control of the judiciary?

Roger Bell sent this to his Prime Minister:

Rt Hon Boris Johnson MP,
10 Downing St.
SW1A 1AA
Dear Prime Minister,
Will you ensure that the European Court of Justice does not have jurisdiction in UK after BREXIT please?
Yours sincerely,
Roger Bell.

1 Reminds me of the House Democrats trying to tell the Senate Republicans how to run their part of the Impeachment Circus.

But the E.U.'s even worse. Nobody elects the E.U. jackboots -- they are all appointed. Which makes me wonder just how it was that the U.K. agreed to become part of the club to begin with.

2 Great analogy, Dana!

Britain was always luke-warm about joining the European club. They were late arrivals in the Coal and Gas entente, then briefly joined the Common Market, only to pull out again. I can't imagine why they wanted to join that continental Frankenstein's Monster. They've always had the resources via the Commonwealth to simply ignore the European anshluss.
