Denmark Beefing Up Greenland Defenses

Denmark is getting desperate. Terrified of Trump's threats to take the enormous island of Greenland (which is actually a subcontinent) they are beefing up their military presence there by $2.05 billion.
What's the point? Not to deter us militarily, obviously; we'd wipe Danish defenses away in minutes. It's to provide Trump with a fait-accompli, to show they are fully cooperating with the u.S. and willing to defend the island.
Look what Trump can do just by running his mouth!
