1 What's even more amazing is that AG Merrick Garland has appointed a Special Counsel to investigate the matter. Whether he had a gun to his head when he did so hasn't been told. AND the guy he appointed to the job was originally appointed as a US Attorney by (ahem) President Trump. On the way up the ladder, he clerked for Justice William Rehnquist. So he ain't no lefty.

Now, of course, this is all for show, so the donkeys can claim even-handedness. BUT, the mere fact of appointing that Special Counsel pretty much puts the kibosh on their naming one to go after Trump's papers. Not to mention that it will make it harder, if not impossible, for Dementia Joe to run for another term. Maybe that's the reason for the whole thing? At any rate, this should be fun to watch. Better stock up on popcorn... and beer to wash it down with, of course.

I would add Obama had a similar issue and it was completely ignored.

I will say this; the Presidential Library of any President requires vasts sums of documents and this is a problem that is going to happen on many occasions. BUT Biden took those while Veep, not President. Trump as President had the authority to do it - Biden did not.

BTW doesn't this make you think of the Rose Law Firm records which turned up in the trunk of a wrecked car in a junk yard?
