There's a lot of interesting stuff to be found in Greenland, including some Nazi airfields, if they are still above the snow. Adm. Byrd's chief pilot Bernt Balchen encountered one of them during the war.

Greenland is an interesting place; it has always had a role in world affairs, despite being an empty, freezing tundra. Lots of nations came and went it seems.
