Did you get that about the U.S. funding voter i.d. in Haiti? We aren't allowed to have voter i.d. in the U.S. but it's fine for us to spend money to make sure Haiti's elections aren't stolen. And this has been going on since the Obama Administration. And Govtech had this to say about voter i.d.:
But I guess they only play a role in fostering democracy overseas - here in America they cause voter suppression. That's what the Democrats tell us anyway.
I guess we hate Haiti and want her to fail then?

Under the guise of so-called preventative care within PEPFAR program [The President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief], Americans have been funding the following: $5.5 million to LGBTQ advocacy in Uganda, $800,000 for transgender people, sex workers, and their clients in Nepal; $3.6 [million] for LGBTQ activism, free training in pastry cooking, psychosocial counseling, a cyber cafe, and dance focus groups for male prostitutes in Haiti; $1.1 million to produce gender transformation in diverse social and behavior change report, which advocates against ‘gender blindness.’”

"For example, complex crisis funding money went to voter ID in Haiti; development assistance funding has been used for net zero cities in Mexico, electric buses in Rwanda, and cricket powder in Madagascar.”

Secure, photo-based voter IDs play a critical role in countries around the world in fostering democratic elections.
But I guess they only play a role in fostering democracy overseas - here in America they cause voter suppression. That's what the Democrats tell us anyway.
