In two weeks, the Supreme Court
will hear arguments in the most important free speech case in our
lifetimes. At issue is whether the government can censor using
third-party control of digital platforms, doing indirectly what it is
forbidden to do directly. You would think that the answer would be no,

A ruling for the plaintiffs would begin the process of regaining control for the people. A ruling for the defense would enable agency control of tech at new levels of intensity. There will be a rally outside the court on the day of argument.
What is this strange silence about the case? That’s the irony: the censorship is so effective that we don’t even hear about the challenge.
