Trump wins a big setttlement from Paramount and CBS.
Part of the agreement is supposedly they donate to conservative causes, as well as impose the "Trump rule" which says they must release transcripts and other information in their entirety.
The suit stems from selective editing of an interview with Kamala Harris before the election.
Of course the media has selectively edited multiple statements by Donald Trump over the years to make him look bad. For example, there is the infamous "good Nazis" claim made based on selective editing of Trump's press conference after the riot over Confederat monuments in Charlottesville, Va. Trump specifically condemned white supremacism in his preamble, then said there were good people on both sides - meaning pro-and-con honoring Confederates. The whole rally was to register disapproval of plans to remove long-standing statues of Confederates. But the media cut all but "good people on both sides" then pretended to believe he was saying there were good Nazis and Klansmen, completely ignoring what he actually said. BTW the Wikipedia entry for Charlottesville Unite the Right Rally calls it a "white supremacist rally" which it was not. Of course that lie is at the top of a Google search.
That's how the Left twists and manipulates the news and how the public perceives things; they lie by omission as much as by, uh, mission.
There are pllenty of other examples involving Donald Trump and I can't go through all of them here. His call to the Ukrainian President (for which he was impeached) is another example. If you read the transscript you see there was never a quid-pro-quo offererd, and Trump was simply pushing them to honor their agreement with the U.S. to go after corruption. There are many others.
Omitting details, coloring the facts, etc. is the media's bread and butter and it has worked for decades. How many people knew Barack Obama was in the Communist New Party in Chicago? How many knew he went to Occidental University on a scholarship provided by the U.S. taxpayers - as a foreign exchange student? How many know he has a Connecticut social security number? How many even know what a "community organizer" is or that he worked for ACORN, a now-defunct vote fraud operation? How many know his wife had a very high paying job at a hospital, a no-show job? All of these things were simply not reported. This goes way back too; Franklyn Roosevelt was in a wheelchair and nobody knew it because the American media simply refused to tell the public since they supported him.
At any rate Trump is going to put some of the $30 million towards legal fees and then use the rest for his Presidential library as well as donate it to conservative causes.
God bless him; he's the first guy we've had since Reagan who is willing to fight back against these clowns (and Reagan still avoided tangling with the media). If everyone would do this the media would have no choice but report fairly. But of course most people don't have the resources to fight the media.
