Yes, we are likely to have a very powerful El Nino this year and the Gang Green has decided to recruit it into their service. In bygone days warmer than average temperatures have been blamed on El Nino and hurt the dooomsayers so they are now co-opting it, saying the El Nino is a "Super El Nino" and that it's caused by - you guessed it - Global Warming!
Of course we didn't even know El Nino existed until 1892 when Spanish sailors noticed it while sailing over Christmas (El Nino means "the boy" as in the Christ child). It got the name when Captain Camilo Carrillo told the Lima Geographical Society that sailors so named the phenomenon.
The ENSO - El Nino Southern Oscillation - has only been monitored since the twentieth century, so to speak about the "worst ever recorded" is to use a puny dataset indeed.
So this is just more climate porn. It's designed to terrify people who do not understand that the warming as we leave the Little Ice Age in our rear-view mirrors is going to see the ENSO intensify a bit. We may get some hotter weather on occasion (much as happens in the Southern Hemisphere on a more regular basis than in the more climatically stable northern) but it's just natural variability. But then, every piece of unusual weather gets blamed on "climate change".
This reminds me of the "Polar Vortex" scare of a few years ago; people didn't know much about it so the Gang Green turned it into another weapon in their endless arsenal of stupidity.

Texas Can Restrict Mail-in Voting

The Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals has overturned a lower court ruling blocking parts of a Texas law that restricted mail-in voting. The law was challenged under the Americans with Disabilities Act and the Fifth Circuit overturned the lower court, saying Texas has the authority to restrict such voting.
This bodes well for President Trump's efforts to block fraud via mail-in ballots by requiring the Postal Service to do the work Congress Just Won't Do. The USPS will be required to confirm the eligibility of voters before delivering the ballots to be counted.
A judge blocked the Trump Administration from requiring that. Trump is appealing the ruling and it likely will go to the Supreme Court.
No doubt the Administration lawyers will point to this ruling from the Fifth Circuit in arguing their appeal.
The Carter Baker commission, which was created with former President Jimmy Carter and former Senator Jim Baker to look into securing the vote after the election of 2000 warned that mail-in voting was ripe for fraud and recommended against it. Naturally the Democrats used the Carter Baker report on what NOT to do as a blueprint for running elections.
Covid really got this going. Before Covid there were absentee ballots which were restricted, but during Covid they hatched up the mail-in scheme and it should come as no surprise Joe Biden won the Presidency with more votes than anyone in history - ove 81 million - when he didn't even campaign or show his face. Millions of mail in votes were the key to his victory.
And the Democrats refused to end mail-in voting after the pandemic ended. That was the plan all along.
It's time to relegate mail-in voting to the same place that literacy tests for voting or other practices designed to disenfranchise people have gone. MIV is nothing but a way to disenfranchise legitimate voers.

Chicoms Buy Building Across from the White House

When are we going to get serious about national security and restrict foreign ownership of property in the U.S.?
Yes, a Communist Party member has purchased a building next to the White House.
Philip Qiu and Family Foundation purchased the Securities Building a scant 650 feet from the White House. Mr. Qiu is not just a senior CCP member but an intelligence officer.
Drones and other such things can be housed here and perhaps assassinate the President. It also makes a dandy listening post.
I cannot imagine how someone in the FBI or Secret Service is not monitoring real estate inside the beltway. This sale should never, ever been permitted.
The Chicoms are probably going to run a police station out of this too.
Perhaps, since judges keep stalling Trump's east wing renovations, the President should use eminent domain to take this property and make IT into his new ballroom? It should be easy to secure and a tunnel could be built between the White House and the building, making for a secure movement by the President and other officials.
At any rate this has to stop. Many other countries do not allow foreigners to buy property. Mexico, for instance, has laws against it, allowing foreign entities to take out leases but not purchase property. A cancelable lease, subject to review at any time, would be the way to go with foreign entities.
Congress should pass such a law, but they are too busy vacationing and not voting on important matters like the SAVE America Act.

Over the last year prices dropped by just 6.6% but that's just the beginning of what hopefully will be a long declining curve. I know it has been a bit less painful lately for me to get my meds (I take a LOT of medication). It should just keep getting better - as long as the Democrats don't get back into power.

Sleeping with the Enemy; The SCLP was Funding White Supremacists

It just keeps getting worse for the SPLC. Now one of their finance officers has been arrested for funneling money to a neo-Nazi white supremacist group.
Dr. Heidi Beirich was literally sleeping with the enemy; her boyfriend was a member of this white supremacist group to whom Beirich allegedly gave $1.2 million dollars. I guess the sheets they buy are Egyptian cotton. That costs a lot.
The article states:
The superseding indictment alleges that, between 2007 and 2023, SPLC quietly gave $4.1 million in tax-exempt donor money to violent extremist groups through a series of bank accounts and sham entities.
Some of that funding went toward costs for the wood and fuel required for cross-burnings, publishing racist pamphlets or extremist literature and other work to maintain the SPLC’s network of "field sources.”
(Take a look at the photo of Beirich to understand why she would hook up with anyone with a pair of pants.)
At any rate her chubby-chasing boyfriend apparently was an "informant" inside of the organization.
I have no doubt the Southern Poverty Law Center has been funding the real crazies for years to show there is a problem in America that only they can solve - they and their Democratic allies.
The SCLP has probably been funneling money to the Democrats for years on the sly, too. I suspect they are one leg in the Democrat's vast funding empire, one that now is being taken out by the Trump Administration. Trump has been systematically going after their illicit funding and I suspect we are going to see vast changes in the electoral map in the next few years as the loss of this illicit funding takes it's toll. Perhaps not the next election though.
The SCLP IS the hate group and always has. It's poetic to see them taken down by this scandal; they sow division and hatred and it's time for them to go.

Womyn's Sports: Bring on the Bearded Ladies

I was thinking about men in women's sports. I think we on the Right should embrace it; it's going to show what we've long needed to show, that men are in fact different from women and that there is an inherent advantage to being a man in sports.
The feminist movement was built on a lie. That lie was that women are no different from men and that in fact they are better because they are more communal. That should mean women's sporting teams work better than male sporting teams because they can cooperate more; there is less ball hogging or whatnot. And everyone remembers the set-up of Bobby Riggs and Billie Jean King where the aging Riggs (who it was later found had thrown the match to cover his gambling debts to the Mafia) lost to the young King. That was explosive and "proved" women were just as good at sports as men.
That has been the lie that has dominated our discussions about women in sports ever since.
I would add that the WNBA has spent years trying to be taken seriously with little success until recently and that for a reason. In boxing there are all sorts of weight classes - and nobody pays any attention to the lower ones. A Flyweight championship fight will be on the undercard of a Middleweight contender fight. Why? Because nobody cares about the flyweights; they simply aren't as good. Oh, pound for pound they might be, but you put a flyweight in with a Welterweight and the fight will be over by round two, probably, unless the flyweight runs like a thief. At best he survives by not fighting and loses every round on points.
People know that and aren't interested. They want to see the real killers, not the kids swatting at each-other.
So the WNBA has always had a respect problem. But they have been having some success of late, largely because they brought in some talented young gals (and the fact they are pretty plays no small part in it). Yet here we are with them ready to throw it all away with their willingness to accept "transgendered" men into their fold.
Go woke go broke.
So in a way we should welcome this; the men are going to completely dominate the league and show everyone that men are superior to women in terms of athletics. It's a bitter lesson but one long overdue. It should have happened when Billie Jean King played Bobby Riggs.
Until our society starts facing reality and quits pretending we can change reality by believing in lies we will continue to decline as a civilization. Civilizations must be based on Truths. Yes, there are myths, but myths often illustrate a moral truth we wish to convey. What we are doing now is creating myths that impact our everyday lives, and those myths are horribly destructive. Playing the gender-game is one of those. It promotes a series of lies that are being turned into actual policy.
BTW a boys soccer team (under 15 years of age) in a game not long ago. So the best women in America couldn't beat the second string of a teenage boys team.
So bring on the dudes, sez I! Let's put this foolishness to bed once and for all! Let the whole world see that this has long been a myth and that there is a reason why we have WOMEN'S sports! And that, yes, there are differences between the sexes.

The Housing from Hell

Here is the real-world proof that U.N. Agenda 21/30 is being implemented in California and across the nation. The high rise living units being built in small suburban communities is exactly what the Agenda 21 crowd mandated.
The illustration accompanying the article is quite instructive; it shows a massive high-rise next to a mall of quaint little shops. The high-rise stands there like a castle tower, or a Muslim minaret - something built by a conqueror to cow the public into submission.
Yes, this is about money and about integrating neighborhoods, but it's also about political power; this was Barack Obama's scheme to build big high-rise section 8 housing in suburban, often Republican districts so they can water down the Republican vote. It was a form of gerrymandering only instead of redrawing the districts you move people.
And, as I have said in days gone by, this fits with the "15 minute city" putting large numbers of people in small spaces so they need not drive anywhere. Put them into pens, like cattle.
My home town of St. Louis should have taught everyone this is a terrible idea. We had a series of housing projects (which is essentially what this is) that failed spectacularly. The most infamous one was Pruitt-Igo, a big housing project that became synonymous with Hell. The sparkling new "decent" apartment complex quickly degenerated into a drug and crime-infested hellhole, and even the police stopped responding to calls from within it's walls. (Eddie Murphy did a stop motion animated t.v. series called The P.J.'s which was pretty much based on it.) Within just a few years Pruitt Igo was condemned and demolished.
So the city fathers went to plan B which was a mixed use community called Laclede Town near St. Louis University and the theater distric. Nice little duplexes with lots of fresh air, because we all know the problem in the ghetto is not enough fresh air. These were supposed to be half public assistance and half regular people, because the problem of poverty was just not enough social contact with the working class! Of course it went about the way you would expect; the place turned into a crime riddled hellhole in just a few years. They did attract a few working class folks at first but those quickly moved out as the complex was overrun by crime and drugs. They eventually tore down all of Laclede Town, giving St. Louis University lots of room to expand (and making the campus safer).
These things were all attempts at "15 minute cities" where people could live, shop, and work within fifteen minutes, even if they didn't drive anywhere.
Such places CAN work if they are expensive enough to keep the trash out; rich people don't tear up their own neighborhoods. But you move the poor and homeless in and the place goes to pot because there is a REASON why people are poor and in America it rarely is because they can't find work. The poor in America are usually poor because they are trapped in a pattern of thinking that eschews education, eschews hard work, eschews sobriety. They usually pop children out like bowel movements, with no way to support the children.
I used to see it all the time when I was a property manager. It was heartbreaking many times as the children had no chance at all in life. I wrote about my experiences at Orthodoxy Today years ago. Poverty in America was a mindset, a survival strategy that involved simply giving up and letting the government care for you. You party to forget your shitty life and spit out kids because they bring more money from the government and you live in filthy shitholes because it's easier than working and trying to make a life for yourself. That is one of the problems; it's much harder to be in the working poor than in the welfare class and so why bother? But there is a terrible price to be paid.
At any rate these are not the people you want as neighbors, and move them in next door and you are just asking for trouble. They are loud, get into fights, and they steal. Then when the good folks who rented or bought next door to them leave more criminals and institutional poor move in and eventually the whole thing collapses. So the state tears down the property and builds somewhere else, in some other decent neighborhood, and the whole process starts anew.
I used to live in St. Louis County (I'm now in the City) and there was a nice, working class neighborhood called Glasgow Village. This featured small but nice frame houses and it ended at the city limits of St. Louis, which had a long arm extending north into St. Louis county so the city could maintain ownership of a water treatment plant near the confluence of the Mississippi and Missouri rivers. Glasgow nestled right up against that arm of the city. And it was perhaps the best property in the whole of St. Louis because there was a bluff with a spectacular view. An amusement park - Chain of Rocks Funfair Park - sat atop the bluff (and they had a roller coaster called Mini-Mouse which, while very small and tame, had a wicked turn right over the bluff, suspending you in mid-air for a times). The city decided to build a small apartment complex for section 8 people. Then a mysterious fire burned down Funfair Park and the city built a new group of public housing on the site of the old amusement park. Instead of building high-end homes to enjoy the view (there were some halfway down the hill where it wasn't a bluff - high end homes on private streets) they put in public housing.
You can see where this is going. Glasgow began becoming increasingly "integrated" with people on government assistance and it became increasingly crime-riddled. The white working class moved out and it is now the worst community in the whole St. Louis area. At least one in five houses is now vacant and boarded up. Crime is rampant and there are constant shooting there. I used to live just outside of Glasgow and my brother lives there now, and he said he doesn't go outside after dark anymore. He used to go running at night for exercise but he would be in great peril. You can hear gunshots all the time around there now.
That is what this "affordable housing" brings. It's what "15 minute cities" give you.
There are people who like that, like the danger of living in a bad neighborhood. But most people just want peace and quiet when they get home from work, and want their property to hold it's value.
The fundamental assumption of the Liberal is tha Man is inherently good and that to fix problems like urban ghettoization one need but change the environment for the underclass and they will naturally rise up, learn from those who were more successful. The reality is the opposite; Man is inherently evil, as the Bible says, and rubbing elbows with the unsuccessful will drag people down. You turn working class people into thugs and criminals when you integrate the impoverished underclass with the working class.
Of course the Liberals also enjoy the pleasure of schadenfreude as they love rubbing our collective noses in it. That is the cherry on top of their policies! But their policies are lies straight from Hell and always have been.
This will ruin the good communities we have, and further erode our culture (which for the Left is the whole point). America was built on small communities, clean and prosperous. The Left seeks to destroy those so they can create a new America. They use the poor as one of their weapons.
But in the end it brings only ruin. And they can then sit amid the ruins, amid the ashes and debris, and thin themselves gods and kings.
Well, for once I side with their mantra - no kings. They need to go back to their homes in Hell.

Another Blanket Injunction from a Democrat Judge Over Mail-in Voting

It's like a broken record with these judges! And they simply refuse to obey the Supreme Court ruling that they cannot impose nationwide blanket injunctions!
Federal judge blocks Trump administration from restricting mail-in ballots ahead of midterms
From the El Zoro News article:
U.S. District Judge Indira Talwani granted a preliminary injunction preventing the USPS from implementing or enforcing Section 3 of Executive Order 14399 for the Nov. 3 midterm elections, or any earlier federal election.
The ruling prevents USPS from refusing to transmit mail-in or absentee ballots under the challenged section and blocks rulemaking to implement certain regulations outlined in the executive order for the November elections.
The injunction does not prevent the federal government from providing nonbinding USPS guidance on ballot-mail envelopes.
Notice how she has a foreign name - one of many aliens given a judicial seat by the Biden camp, no doubt.
And notice how kind she was in the end, allowing the USPS to read "non-binding guidance from the government" which means exactly nothing as she has already banned any action taken against mail-in ballots.
Hopefully this will be overturned on appeal, but given the Left went judge-shopping and it's in Massachusetts it's going to have an uphill battle.
Question; is the U.S. Postal Service required to deliver all mail? It's not a Federal agency and in fact is a quasi-private organization wholly owned by the United States government. It does not draw money from general revenue - it has to ask if it's in trouble. So how can the courts compel the USPS to disobey Trump on this and think the individual states have a case? Let them run their own program to get mail-in ballots delivered. Maybe cut a deal with Fedex...
Of course Fedex would charge THEM more, and that is the whole point; they want the U.S. taxpayer to underwrite the theft of the election.
We MUST start punishing these lawless judges and rein them in.

Yellowcake in Syria: Proof Saddam Had it?

I remember when the U.S. invaded Iraq and there was clear evidence of convoys moving from Iraq to it's neighboring Baathist Party-controlled country of Syria. At the time many of us said they were moving nuclear material. The hapless Bush Administration did what Karl Rove always advised - just moved on instead of making an issue of it.
Well...
How, pray tell, did Syria get nuclear material in the first place?
The article states:
The secret nuclear program which had been developed under the Assad regime with the help of North Korean experts in the mid 2000s centered on the Al-Kibar reactor, which was mostly destroyed after Israel bombed it in 2007. However, several research-and-development and storage sites, mostly inactive, reportedly remained.
After the toppling of the Assad regime, the IAEA signed an agreement with the new Syrian government allowing it to visit the Al-Kibar reactor and several other sites connected to Syria’s prior nuclear activity.
One of the facilities Israel was closely monitoring over the past two years was called "Site 99.” According to two Israeli officials, the Assad regime stored nuclear material as part of the Al-Kibar nuclear reactor project.
Maybe they produced some of it on their own and maybe they got some of it from Iraq. Certainly the Syrians - close allies of Iraq - have now admitted to a clandestine nuclear weapons project. Why is it hard to believe the Hussein regime moved their nuclear stockpile into Syria?
Like many of us said all along.
We were told over and over that there was no nuclear material in Iraq and that "Bush lied and people died". But did he? This suggests he did not.
The program was inactive for many years; what does that tell us? The invasion of Iraq undoubtedly unnerved the Assad Regime in Syria, and they thought discretion the better part of valor.
You will note this says the program began in the mid 2000nds, just about the time Saddam Hussein would have moved his material to Syria as the U.S. was invading. It seems unlikely the Syrians would START a nuclear program after seeing what happened to Iraq at this moment in history. More likely they had a clandestine one going and then made a big leap forward when Iraq shipped them the material they needed.
Most of this material was yellowcake uranium. From Chad maybe? At any rate it was unprocessed. The article mentions the laughable "dirty bomb" scenario. Ridiculous and stupid. A "dirty bomb" is just an instrument of terror; it is no more radioactive than an x-ray even at ground zero. Less the farther away you are. The only value in a dirty bomb is to frighten ignorant people because, like, radiation and stuff!
Yellowcake is too valuable to waste on a dirty bomb. If you want one you should go dig up nuclear waste from containment sites.
At any rate I think this proves the claim Saddam Hussein had no yellowcake was probably a lie. But so much was back then.

It COULD be done but it would cause an explosion. Still, I would love for Trump to ram this down the throats of the Democrats and their RINO Republican allies.

There is an old expression; if you want something done right do it yourself.
Here we go; Nasa is about to turn the Artemis project into another Charlie Foxtrot.
The original name of our space station was Freedom - until we took on international partners and it became the International Space Station (ISS) and it never really amounted to anything because we didn't have full control of it. It was a huge money pit in the sky and now Artemis will be the same.
For those who do not know Artemis is the name given to our plans to build a permanent base on the Moon, a base that could be expanded into a permanent colony.
What do the Indians have to bring to the table? Nothing except some funding; they do not have any experience with any of this. And it will take away control of this station from the United States. In the end we will wind up being "one of many" in just another Charlie Foxtrot.
The point is for US to learn how to live on the Moon, how to exploit lunar resources, obtain power, get water, etc. It is not and should not be a mini-U.N. where all sorts of nations are there and have veto power. We need to develop the Moon for the United States of America. This "for all Mankind" horsepoop sounds lovely but in the end the Chinese and Russians are not going to play that game. They will use the Moon for their national interests. We should too.
And there is nothing wrong with that. Space settlement isn't going to happen based on altruism and international cooperation. Like all things that happen it will be accomplished through money and profit and national interests competing to see who does a better job of settlement. It's how the Western Hemisphere was colonized, after all. Colonization happens anywhere either as a matter of refugees or to make money. Nobody has colonized Antarctica, for instance, except for some scientific stations there because there was no money to be made and nobody running from some oppressive regime or whatnot is going to go to such a place.
There is money to be had on old Luna. Helium III, for example. Unlimited sunlight for power. Hard vacuum for manufacturing. Ore processing for mining, not just lunar materials but for mining asteroids. I could go on and on but the point is made. The Chinese want to go there for this stuff, as do the Russians. They have no intention of joining us in Artemis.
So why do we want to bring the Indians in? There is no good reason.
Robert Zimmerman gives us a clue about why this is happening:
India is already a signatory to the Artemis Accords. This new offer I am sure was issued with NASA’s full cooperation. Coming however from the State Department it indicates a global political aspect beyond building a Moon base with international partners. The offer is probably aimed at driving a wedge between India’s increasing space partnership with Russia. In 2025 India agreed to build its Bharatiya Antariksh Station (BAS) in the same inclination as Russia’s proposed station, and work together on cross astronaut visits. This partnership offer is an attempt to pull India away from Russia and toward the U.S.
But again, so what? How is losing Indian space cooperation to the Russians any great loss to our national security? It's not. And India has long shown itself to not be our friend as a political entity. Why should we scrape and bow to them just to keep them from joining the Russians? I doubt Russia and India together could build such a base, frankly, not these days. Russia is spending all it's time building weapons to attack the Ukrainians. And what are the Indians going to build? I would add the Russians probably won't be too happy sharing close quarters with Indians, whose curry-based diets will stink the join up something awful...
This proves the U.S. State Department is still internationalist and apparently has never gotten the MAGA memo. Rubio should have killed this.
At least the Russians offered technical expertise to the ISS, and the others who went along with us in it offered money. What will India offer? Maybe they can start the first lunar call center?

(BTW the photo at the top is of the famous Ozark Hilton, the cabin I built out of trash deep in the woods of the Ozarks. It was, uh, rustic and I've told many a tale about the mighty OH in the past. Sadly, due to circumstances beyond my control, I have not visited the cabin in two years and it may well be collapsed by now. A builder I am not.)
This used to be the website of me, Jack Kemp, Dana Mathewson and friends but over the years a lot of people dropped off due to time constraints (as has happened with most of the old time blogs) and it's down to pretty much just me, although Dana does some editing still. But I'll keep it going.
In fact this site used to be pretty influential if small, and had a decent audience. Rush Limbaugh read it, I know; he would occasionally mention stuff he could only have found here. And I used to be linked up to a number of very prestigious sites. But Google changed their algorithms and traffic dropped like a stone. That happened with the Gateway Pundit too.
At any rate I never did make money from this - it's a pure public service.
So do come back, and perhaps leave a comment or two. I would appreciate that.

Another climate doomsday prophecy.

California’s Central Valley faces the greatest peril, though flooding, landslides, power outages, and transportation failures could strike every county. "It was always a when, not if,” said Dr. Daniel Swain, a UCLA climate scientist who co-authored the ARkStorm 2.0 study. "Before global warming, that ‘when’ might have been centuries away. Now it’s quite likely to be within my own lifetime.”
Atmospheric rivers normally deliver up to half of California’s annual water supply. When they stall or arrive in rapid succession, however, they become engines of catastrophe.
The strongest can transport roughly 15 times as much water as the Mississippi River at its mouth. The original ARkStorm scenario, developed by the U.S. Geological Survey and other experts in 2010, drew partly on the Great Flood of 1861–62, when storms pounded the state for about 45 days and turned the Central Valley into a lake nearly 300 miles long. Geological records show six even more severe events struck California over the past 1,800 years.
Researchers updated the scenario in 2022 to account for a warmer climate. Swain described one key change as the "expanding atmospheric sponge effect.” For every 1.8 degrees Fahrenheit of warming, the atmosphere can hold about seven percent more water vapor.
"You can essentially just imagine an ordinary kitchen sponge that grows progressively larger with warming,” he said. "It has the capacity to absorb much more water.” When that moisture is released over California, rainfall intensifies dramatically.
And of course it is the elusive "climate change" at fault!
Yet the article has the seeds of it's own destruction in this one paragraph:

There was no man-made climate change in 1861 nor for any of the other severe events. How could they happen without global warming?
But, but, but...it's twice as likely, not that it didn't happen!
Well water vapor in the stratosphere has actually been declining not increasing and overall atmospheric water vapor has not grown at the 1% per decade rate that has been theorized (leading many climate researchers adjusting the data from the past to make it conform with their models) and in fact this stands to reason as we see a decline in planetary cloud cover over the last few decades. Nature just isn't cooperating with the models.
So talk of rivers of rain swallowing California are fear porn. While they MAY get hit with a major storm now and then, it has nothing to do with Global Warming and everything to do with cyclical weather patterns. There is a difference between weather and climate.

He's right but he misses the whole point. They are not just pillagers, they are morally and spiritually empty.
You will notice the author has no solution to this problem. That's because he's looking at it from a purely pragmatic and ideological way. But the problem has it's roots in what these people BELIEVE.
Our problems stem from the rejection of Christianity by the West since the Enlightenment. While it may not be possible to convert everyone around the world our shared Judeo-Christian belief system still gave us the wherewithal to take the necessary steps to contain and control bad behavior. There was a consensus that there was a concrete right and wrong and someone who wanted to plunder another's goods was to be constrained. Now, with moral relativism, we actually sometimes think it is good that people steal because of "systemic racism" or some other such b.s.
Wherever Christianity has taken root it has civilized. That's because if you are Christian you follow the very civilized behavior of Christ. You don't rape or rob your neighbor if you are Christian.
Until we remember who we are, our religious and cultural roots, we will continue to become more and more like these Third World hellholes.
But, but, but..many ghetto areas in the U.S. have a lot of storefront churches and loud-praying people and THEY remain dirt poor! Yes and no. Many of these loud-praying Southern Baptist churches (or whatnot) are actually more about Prosperity Theology than anything else and this takes it's toll. These are people not praying to God for their spiritual improvement so much as seeing God as a cosmic ATM, a great Santa Clause in the sky. They think prayer will earn them good things in this life. But they do not reform their lives.
Some do, but most use it as a sort of magic. It's not about changing into a new creation but in feeding the old.
That is the problem. Most Christianity these days is about the corporal works of mercy, and reject the spiritual. Churches have become mere charity organizations, often very political in nature. They assume the afterlife can take care of itself. But without the fear of Hell and hope for Heaven people will act as they please - and that means they will sink back into the mud from which they crawled. We are all sinful, animals by nature. Christianity offers the way out but you have to accept it and live it.
Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom, the Bible tells us. The Bible is right. And fear of the Lord is the beginning of all decent civilization is the logical corollary.
So what we need to do to fight the rising socialists and other looters and vandals is to first remember who we are, why we are here, who it is who protects our civilization (America in particular was founded as Christ's refuge and as was pointed out by Otto von Bismarck — 'God has a special providence for fools, drunkards, and the United States of America.'. That was because our Independence was a true miracle, and our defending of this country was likewise. Miracles occurred during the War of 1812, and even the Mexican War was expected to end quite differently, which would have seen American expansion westward stopped as we would have had to give up Texas and other western territories.)
We need to restore the Christian faith to it's rightful place in society, and in so doing we need to make our laws and our customs in line with that belief system. Only then can we expect to succeed.
All other efforts are doomed to failure. We have rebuilt our nations on a foundation of sand.

The Age of Magic

Here is a rather disturbing development. Witchcraft seems to be taking over our universities.
Not only are occultic practices anti-science and thus by the standard set by the Left irrational, but they are actually dangerous to both body and soul, thus anti-Christian and anti-Humanist.
The article states:
ASU might argue the courses fall under the classification of history and do not promote witchcraft and the occult. But at least one course syllabus does not bear that out. For example, the syllabus for "Witchcraft and Heresy in Europe” says the class will examine how the identity of the heretic and the witch was constructed against its binary opposite, the "orthodox” Christian. It then turns to "religious Othering,” especially "the female as Other,” and asks students to explain how centuries-old witch persecutions continue to shape their own lives.
I have no doubt these courses promote such behavior and do not just explain them to the students.
I ask one simple question; why did Witchcraft disappear in the first place if it - in it's many guises - was so great? It disappeared because people realized it was superstition, or they realized it was actually dangerous. It had a limited appeal - Christianity had much more of an appeal.
And what nations have been governed by principles of wizardry and witchcraft? Haiti comes to mind; a great success story indeed!
Ultimately this is an appeal to Satan for power and success in this life, which is why it is attractive to some; they seek empowerment for one reason or another and offer themselves to demonic forces. Oh, many don't think that's what they are doing but it is. They are ultimately trading their souls for a more pleasing life. That is a terrible price to pay for the fleeting pleasures of this world.
There has long been an undercurrent of sympathy for the old pagan religions, particularly witchcraft, and we've seen it in popular culture for a long time. Remember the t.v. show Bewitched? How about Sabrina the Teenage Witch? The Harry Potter series? It goes on and on, and the purpose of portraying such pagan practices as fun is to attract people. With the spiritual vacuum caused by the erosion of Christianity into a social club there is a real hunger to fill that void and the old magical arts are making a play to do it. It is working to one degree or another.
As I've long said AI is a kind of witchcraft, and so too is the whole transgender business. It's a human attempt to build a tower to Heaven, much as did Nimrod in Babel. Oh, AI is technology, no question, but it's USE is often rooted in magical thinking; many see AI as their god. As for the trans issue, that should be obvious; by an act of will a man can become a woman if he insists loudly enough that he is one. Pure magic. Reality bends to the will of the individual.
We live in an age of magic, and that's not a good thing.
So it should come as no surprise that traditional magical arts like witchcraft are rising. They never fully went away and Christianity is shrinking in this the Great Apostacy. Coupled with technology you have a powerful psychological weapon to wield against the Church and so many are being swallowed in the maw of the magical demon.
