Dear Mr. Messenger,

In your piece of Friday, January 19th you darkly hint at a rise in "militia" activity, around the nation, and in Missouri particularly. You are following the leader, in this instance, the mainstream media, in suggesting that the real danger to the peace and domestic tranquility in the USA is not Islamic terrorism, but terrorism of the domestic sort...although you do toss out a bouquet to the other side by noting that a Muslim convert shot two soldiers in Little Rock last year.

In the same edition of the PD, on page A4, in the "Law & Order" section, the paper reports four murders, a drug dealer ending up with a nine-year sentence, a wrong way crash killing one personand leaving two others seriously injured, and, finally, suspects arrested in three carjacking incidents. I suppose that you consider these incidents to be simply another night in St. Louis, because you chose, however, to warn your readers that domestic terrorism is the worst plague facing the country today.

It might be that street crime, of the type which the PD is forced to report on all too frequently, is the main problem facing America today, yet you chose to ignore this and instead concentrated on domestic terrorism. I believe that most Americans, and St. Louisans would agree with me, but I do not know how you all feel about this in Wildwood.
