Sorry, my computer has lost its space bar.
I just wanted to let you all know that my wife was in the hospital with sepsis and I had to ignore the blog for a time. She's out now but still in a nursing community.
Hopefully I'll be back up if and when the space bar starts working again.

Do you have one of those air squirter things to try to blow away what might be causing the clog? Or failing that, a can of WD-40?

That may work... or that old keyboard could be ready to die, too. If it's one that came with the old computer it's probably a poor quality one to begin with, not to mention being elderly. My keyboard that died was a standard Dell, whereas Martha's using an aftermarket Dell that has lots of bells and whistles, that's twice the age of mine that died, and hers is still in great shape.
If you find the old one and it works, I'd still replace it as soon as possible.
