Not as simple as it seems. Dr. Oz -- and Herschel Walker, who was also canned -- were occupying government positions, and for them to also run for public office was a violation of the Hatch Act.

That's a good point Dana, but I can think of all sorts of people who are in government who ran for public office while so employed. Hillary for one.
