Biden calls for Gas Tax Holiday

Joe Biden is calling for a three month gas tax holiday to offer some relief to Americans being choked by his high prices.
It's just a gimmick. His own party always said so and won't pass it anyway.
What is a couple of dimes when talking about $6 a gallon gas? You have to produce fuel to make any real difference, and he won't do it.

And he calls for more refining, but his EPA won't allow any more. In fact, they have squeezed several refineries out. They shut down a major refinery in St. Croix (which supplied a lot of New York with fuel) and also one in Texas.
So how exactly are they going to ramp up production? With what?
This man is a monumental liar.
So he's taking steps to make it look like he is doing something about the problem he himself has caused.

Biden's
decision to call for a federal gas tax holiday -- a move once derided
as a gimmick by Barack Obama and viewed skeptically by leading
economists -- almost certainly won't make it through Congress,
especially as it faces blowback from the President's own allies on
Capitol Hill. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi stopped short of endorsing the
plan in a statement after Biden's remarks.
But
he cast the move as a way to give some relief to families as he tries
to find solutions to one of his top political problems.
"By
suspending the 18-cent gas tax, federal gas tax for the next 90 days,
we can bring down the price of gas and give families just a little bit
of relief," Biden said in a speech from the White House.
"I
fully understand that a gas tax holiday alone is not going to fix the
problem," he continued, "but it will provide families some immediate
relief, just a little bit of breathing room as we continue working to
bring down prices for the long haul."

Biden
also called on states to take steps removing their own taxes on gas and
diesel. And he told oil refining companies to increase their capacity
ahead of their planned meeting this week with administration officials.
Combined,
Biden claimed, the wish list could reduce the price per gallon of gas
by $1. Yet that figure relies on a number of steps entirely out of the
President's control -- not least of which is convincing a skeptical
Congress to approve his plan.
In her statement after Biden's remarks, Pelosi did not commit to bringing a gas tax holiday up for a vote.
"We will see where the consensus lies on a path forward for the President's proposal in the House and the Senate," she wrote.

Now, Biden's about my age (give or take a few months), but he obviously didn't go to the schools I went to, where among other things we learned the relationship between Cause and Effect; a subject he appears to be totally unfamiliar with.

The dems learned. They cause the problem and wait until the effects cripple the people and the people beg for a solution which begins another problem,its a great example of perpetual motion.

Agreed all around you guys! Dana, he surely doesn't understand cause and affect - and Mike is right about the way they operate, creating problems so their fix can cause all new ones.
