More arguing with someone with climate on the brain:
From the wet brained Henry:
From me:
This from another respondent, Doug:
What is interesting is there are really very few "climate scientists "
In order to qualify I would think a number of disciplines are needed .
Physics, Astronomy, Geology, engineering , meteorology, Biologist and more.
Having trained in a number of these fields , either formal or autodidactic ,would seem to me necessary.
We very likely have more to learn about drivers of climate than we know to this point . But that’s why Science is so interesting .
Just goes to show it’s always something
Henry the Alarmist jumps in:
My reply:
We have unidimensional thinking in so much of this.
Oh, and I always love when they say "scientists agree" here. They ignore the Oregon Petition, for example, which - even if we subtract 90% of the signatures, still has a larger statistical sampling than does the Oreskes or Cook surveys.
Oh, and Henry H. Kellam III, the really big money is om the side of the Alarmists, who have the very wealthy NGO's, such as the Audubon Society, Greenpeace, etc. as well as large donations from all major corporations as well as outfits like the MacArthur Fund and, most importantly, vast sums of money from the U.S. government as well as other governments around the world AND the United Nations. What do the "deniers" have? Even the most hated company of all - Exxon Mobile - flipped sides when Rex Tillerson was CEO and now helps fund and support Global Warming Alarmism. The money is all on your side, my friend. All the "deniers" (a malicious term designed to slander people who disagree) is the Truth.

I am not making this up. This has been pointed out in reputable publications many times. And for those to whom that 70% is Holy Writ, somebody should tell them that science is not "done" by percentages anyhow.

NASA's first woman climatologist was Joanna Simpson. She remained silent until the day she retired then she savaged her former bosses, claiming she was intimidated into silence at the risk of her job. Why? The government wants global warming to be accepted, so they can raise taxes, impose regulations, and control people. They use money to enforce silence.
Who is going to destroy their career, something they worked years to attain, over a matter of principle? Not many in our modern society. There are very few Thomas Moores in modernity.

That's why I reserve my arguing for this site; I don't go other places -- don't have the time or the inclination. Here, we have intelligent people, and if we get into an argument at least we don't insult one another.
