Free Beer, Not Palestine

Dana Mathewson

(This is in response to a post about the Minneapolis church shooter having "free Palestine" on his gear.)

Sad! I'd rather put up signs saying "Free beer, not Palestine," harking back to the 60s and 70s with their "Draft beer, not students" signs.

If Words are Violence...

Timothy Birdnow

Yep.

If ‘words are violence,’ why won’t the left own theirs?

The pattern always goes one of two ways. If the killer can be tied to any semblance of a right-wing ideology, it’s a Republican problem. If the ideology runs the other way — or worse — touches one of the left’s sacred identity groups, then it’s a gun problem. Never their own movement. Never their own rhetoric. Never their own political tribe.

When the killer looks like someone Democrats already despise, it’s open season. When the killer looks like one of their own, the ideology vanishes, and the weapon is to blame.

Traces of Uranium in Syria

IAEA finds uranium traces in Syria linked to site bombed by Israel

During Gulf War II satellites saw trucks moving out of Iraq and into Syria.

Tnhis article suggests Bashir had a nuclear program and this was a site hit by Israel in 2007.

Whatever. It's clear they had SOMETHING going on there.

Granted, these uranium particules were "natural" meaning unenriched, but that is what one would expect if Syria were just starting up their program.

Wacky Maxine Waters

Timothy Birdnow

Shouldn't she first figure out what's wrong with herself?

Rep. Maxine Waters urges use of 25th Amendment to find out what’s ‘wrong’ with Trump

This is so Soviet of her; if you don't share the belief in the bright socialist future of your comrads you must be insane and need to be institutionalized!

By the way the 25th Amendment isn't a fishing expedition to "see what's wrong with" someone. It is a mechanism whereby an incapacitated President can be removed and replaced, and that requires his whole cabinet to take action.

Where was the beautious Ms. Waters (ahem!) when Joe Biden was out to lunch permanently? She didn't want to "find out what's wrong with him" then.

This is nothing but "I'm rubber you're glue" in politics. She knows she has nothing but is saying this anyway because her side was embarrassed by their own failure to rein in a senile Uncle Joe.

I would call Waters despicable if she wasn't so laughable. She really is a clown. Wonder what her shoe size is? 22's?

Letitia James Hiding a Fugitive

Timothy Birdnow

The Outlaw Letitia James has been caught harboring her fugitive niece in her primary residence.

Yes, James, the woman who ran on a platform of "getting Trump" and who twisted the law into a pretzel to pursue the former and current President has not only engaged in mortgage fraud (the crime she went after Trump for allegedly doing) but now she has harbored a fugitive.

When is New York going to remove this criminal from office?

Robbing Climate Peter to Pay Climate Paul

Timothy Birdnow

So can I have my CFC's back?

Healing Ozone Layer Could Trigger 40% More Global Warming

This article claims the restoration of the ozone layer (which was never in any danger anyway; it's a cyclical thing) is driving planetary warming. If so, why not just let us bring back the cheap liquid refrigerants?

According to the article:

"Professor Bill Collins, who led the study, explained: "Countries are doing the right thing by continuing to ban chemicals called CFCs and HCFCs that damage the ozone layer above Earth. However, while this helps repair the protective ozone layer, we have found that this recovery in ozone will warm the planet more than we originally thought."

So, the planet will warm because the ozone is back. What does that tell us? It tells me the PLANET IS WARMING BATURALLY and the loss of ozone just kept that in check. In other words we accidetnally protected ourselves from thermogeddon.

The article continues:

The findings show that stopping CFC and HCFC production – done mainly to protect the ozone layer – provides less climate benefit than previously calculated. CFCs and HCFCs are greenhouse gases that warm the planet. Countries banned them to save the ozone layer, expecting this would also help fight climate change. But as the ozone layer heals, it creates more warming that cancels out most of the climate benefits from removing CFCs and HCFCs.

fin

See, we just don't know what the heck we're talking about where climate is concerned. This should be patently obvious and the conclusion we should drraw from this. Scientists confidently make these ridiculous predictions and yet have no real base of knowledge about any of this.

Oh, once again the alarmist scientists are telling us we have just three years to stop our whole civilization and control runaway greenhouse gases. How many times have we heard that from them now? They all told us it would all be over by 2000.

Don't Let the Fire go Out

Timothy Birdnow

New research shows that total wildfire burn area has dropped by a whopping 26% even while the number of PEOPLE affected by them has increased 40%.

What does that tell us?

It tells us that climate change is not causing more and worse wildfires. On the conntrary it appears it's causing fewer. That makes sense if the world is getting greener and wetter, but the Gang Green, the alarmist crowd, says droughts are worse and this is causing more fires. They have it wrong.

It also tells us more people are living in areas that traditionally have suffered such fires, and that likely human activity (or lack thereof) has made these fire-prrone areas more susceptible.

And fully 85% of all fires worldwide happened in Africa which has long been called the "Fire Continent". Africa is subject to drought on a regular basis and with bad land-management ppracticies is ripe for large-scale wildfires. Do note that most of these fires (a whopping half) occurred in Congo, South Sudan, Mozambique, Zambia, and Angola. These are all dry Third World countries. The combined share for the United States, Europe, and Australia was less than 2.5 percent - despite the best efforts of Gavin Newsom and Karen Bass.

Of course this article goes on to jawflap about global warming and how it is making fires more intense (in direct oppostition to the data presented) and concludes climate change is causing more "fire weather". But that is the opposite of what the models all predict, which is more rain and more humidity.

Oh, by the way, deaths by drowning (an indicator of increased rainfall and storms) has declined 38% over the last few decades.

Doesn't sound to me like we have much of a problem either way. Fewer and weaker fires and less drowning. What more can one ask for?

My father had a rather dim-witted uncle who lived with my great  grandmother in the wilds of southeast Missouri. She was driving into town from her farm and told him "don't let the fire go out no matter what". She got home to a cold house "what happened?" He replied "fire went out". That 's kind of where we are now.

Leo Shows His Inner Leftist

Timothy Birdnow

Pope Leo XIV will continue Pope Francis' pro-homosexaul policies in violation of Canon Law and 2000 years of Church teaching.

From Breitbart:

Pope Leo XIV met Monday with one of the most prominent advocates for greater LGBTQ+ inclusion in the Catholic Church and encouraged his ministry, just days before a planned Holy Year pilgrimage of LGBTQ+ Catholics to the Vatican in a sign of continued welcome in this new pontificate.

Liberal Catholics often say "the Pope is expressing love for gay people as Jesus would have" and "we can't influence them without engaging with them". But the fact remains that the Bible is chock-full of references to homosexuality and warns it is an "abomination" and that it leads to eternal damnation. When I've used that point my interlocutor usually snorts derision because, well, you know, the Bible is sooooo old fashioned and stuff and we are past it now.

Thes liberal Catholics only understand half of Christianity. Chrristianity is built on two separate principles - love and justice. If one only accepts the love aspect then inevitably we will excuse people for things that they must be held accountable for doing.

God is love but he is also all just and it is God who said men may not engage in sexual congress. (Of course he said men and women may not engage in sexual congress with the opposite sex outside of marriage either but the command is given in a less strident manner.)

The Old Testament was quite harsh about it and the penalty for homosexuality was death by stoning. The New Testament was always more forgiving, but it is plain that being gay will lead to eternal damnation. Read Romans 1:26–27, 1 Corinthians 6:9–10, and 1 Timothy 1:9–10 – as well as Jude 1:7 for just a few. It calls it a "shameful act", and "abomination". And as Paul says, "Men committed shameless acts with men and received in their own persons the due penalty for their error." Or as he says they shall not enter into the Kingdom of Heaven. It is a sin leading to damnation.

Now, Paul mentions other sins that do as well "Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the shall not inherit the Kingdom of heaven. Neither fornicators, nor the carnal, now adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor the effiminate, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards..." 1Corinthians6:9-10

It should also be pointed out that Paul says that any brother who is in an open state of sin should first be confronted privately and admonished, then with Church elders, then if they refuse to repent they must be cut off. There was none of this coaxing and cajoling and takin them in while in an open state of sin. This mirrors what Jesus said when he told His disciples "if a town doesn't receive you shake the dust of that town off your feet and move on". Christianity isn't about begging. People are free to choose. If they choose no they are only a disrupting influence that will corrupt others and lead them to damnation.

Our job is just to present the Truth and it is theirs to respond.

Pope Leo, like Francis, wants to bring these people into the Body of Christ itself in hopes of being able to subsume them. But what is an alien life form inside the body? We call it an INFECTION and it often kills the host if left untreated.

FTA:

The Rev. James Martin, a New York-based Jesuit author and editor, said Leo told him he intended to continue Pope Francis’ policy of LGBTQ+ acceptance in the church and encouraged him to keep up his advocacy.

"I heard the same message from Pope Leo that I heard from Pope Francis, which is the desire to welcome all people, including LGBTQ people,” Martin told The Associated Press after the audience. "It was wonderful. It was very consoling and very encouraging and frankly a lot of fun.”

No doubt it WAS fun; who wouldn't be happy to hear the final arbiter of all Faith and Morals excuse your sin?

LGBTQ people were always welcome in the Church; they just had to not practice. The conservative blogger The Anchoress, for instance, was a nun but she was a lesbian. She still is; just remains celibate because she knows it's a sin. She calls herself "sytemically disordered".

But that isn't the kind of welcome Leo and Francis mean; they mean ACCEPTANCE of the gay lifestyle and normalizing it in the Church.

Look there are all sorts of sins that people simply just don't do. There are the really sick sins, like necrophilia or pedophilia or copraphilia or any of the other deep, dark things that some people have a perverted desire to do but don't because they know it's wrong. Then there are the other sexual sins, like formication or adultery. Any married man knows that it's tough being faithful, especially when you get a little older and a little richer and the young girls are after you. You remain faithful because you know it's wrong to committ adultery. Simple enough. Many gay folks argue "it's who I am" and that "God doesn't make mistakes" and yet there are men who are not lead by their penises and who just say no. Happens all the time. Is it fair? Maybe not, but the whole point of life is learning to trust God even when He seems to be unfair to you or is hurting you. Is it fair a woman had a weight problem and is 300 lbs and can't lose it and so is alone her whole life? Is it fair a man suffered a spinal cord injury and wound up a paraplegic all his life? Is it fair a kid had a drunk for a mother and wound up with fetal alcohol syndrome? The fact is homosexuality is cross that must be born by gay people. And that is sad and it's true enough. But one needn't indulge this desire of the flesh any more than one indulges a desire for a six year old girl. (Only Muhhammed would do that.)

Does it mean we should lack sympathy? Not at all. That we mistreat them? Absolutely not. But does it mean the Church should lie to them and tell them everything is fine when in fact they are flirtin with their eternal souls.

Love demands we tell them it's no o.k. It is a non-loving act to excuse such a thing, just as surely as it would be a non-loving act to not tell someone the brownie is poisoned or the bridge is out or their is a rattlesnake in the outhouse.

Bythe way, before he was Pope then Cardinal Prevost said Pope Francis:

""made it very clear that he doesn’t want people to be excluded simply on the basis of choices that they make, whether it be lifestyle, work, way to dress, or whatever.

But we are looking to be more welcoming and more open and to say all people are welcome in the church,"

And yet Francis kicked a number of conservative Catholic Bishops out of the Church and he took steps to suppress the more conservative groups inside the Church, such as the Traditionalists who attended the Latin Mass.

Hypocrite! Id Francis meant it he would have welcomed the dissent.

Pope Leo is showing he's just another liberal activist dressed in Bishop's garb and pretending to be a holy man.

Trannie Cheerleaders

Timothy Birdnow

The National Football League continues to mock it's fans puttting trans and gay men on cheerleader squads.

"The latest thing is to put transgender men in with the female cheerleaders. The NFL can’t help themselves from sending messages, mostly hardcore left-wing messages. They are also adding more noticeably gay men to the female cheerleading squads. They’re confusing the issue between Trans ‘women’ taking over female spaces and just plain gay men.

The only reason for cheerleaders in professional football is to provide some eye candy to the men who need to bend their necks to avoid cramping. Otherwise they'd be looking for the beer vender when not watching the field. The fans don't want to see powderpuffs or he-she's. Since football is about masculinity and is a working class sport to no small degree this is a patent insult to everyone who enjoys the game.

This is purely a social engineering exercise, trying to n ormalize the abnormal. It's the boiling frog syndrome, put the frog in water and slowly increase  the temperature until you boil it alive. This is how they are trying to normalize what is clearly a perversion.

Time we boycotted the NFL, given them the Bud Lite ttreatment.

Or it could just have been an accident.

Great Minds Think Alike; Sundance Thinks Ukrainian Assassination was an Inside Job Too

Timothy Birdnow

Yesterday I wrote a post suggesting the assassination of Andriy Parubiy in the Ukraine was done by Zelensky and no doubt many of you scoffed. But Sundance at Conservative Treehouse seems to agree this was a political assassination having nothing to do with Putin. In fact he suggests it was the CIA, which worked with Parubiy during the orange Revolution via Victorria Nuland. They were cleaning up loose threads, Sundance suspects.

From the article:

Andriy Parubiy was the primary Ukrainian political activist during Victoria Nuland’s organized Maidan revolution. In common parlance, this assassination might be considered throwing a bag over a potential risk. Remember, CNN is to the State Dept as the Washington Post is to the CIA.

(VIA CNN) – […] Parubiy participated in 2004’s Orange Revolution, where hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians joined in peaceful protest following disputed elections.

He was also a prominent figure in the Maidan Revolution, a movement which began in November 2013 after then-President Viktor Yanukovych refused to sign a trade pact with the European Union that had been years in the making, opting instead for closer ties with neighboring Russia.

During the revolution, which lasted three months, Parubiy was the head of an enormous tent city established by thousands of protesters in Kyiv’s central Independence Square, known as the Maidan.

He was later the secretary of Ukraine’s National Security and Defense Council during 2014. In 2019, Parubiy signed a bill to make the use of the Ukrainian language mandatory in certain public sectors, calling it a "historic day.”

Long ago, the opposition elements in eastern Ukraine labeled Parubiy a ‘nazi’ and accused him of working in collaboration with U.S. intelligence (CIA).

Andriy Parubiy knew a lot about western intelligence operations in Ukraine.

Andriy Parubiy is dead now.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy knows a lot about western intelligence operations in Ukraine.

This is certainly one of the first things I thought of and it's comforting to know others think this may be the case.

NIH Continues Gain of Function

Timothy Birdnow

The Baron Von Frankensteinian NIH is plotting to continue gain of function research to create novel viruses despite an order from President Trump to cease and desist.

The Daily Caller dishes:

At NIH — where the policy shop has remained unchanged since the Biden administration — a consultant hired by NIH Director Jay Bhattacharya was marginalized as an extremist for pushing for a stricter policy, according to a government source. Ed Hammond, who tracked Fauci’s biodefense buildup for years, was fired from NIH on Aug. 21, he said on X. Hammond declined to comment beyond his tweet.

After a government career lasting a little over two months, this is my final day at the NIH Office of Science Policy.

— Edward Hammond (@pricklyresearch) August 21, 2025

Bhattacharya identified the "crisis of gain of function research” as one of his top five priorities at a March confirmation hearing, yet has not been deeply involved with GOF policy.

A spokesperson for Bhattacharya’s top deputy, NIH Principal Deputy Director Matthew Memoli, declined an interview request.

Bhattacharya in April promoted Memoli’s longtime collaborator Jeffrey Taubenberger to lead the National Allergy and Infectious Diseases Institute (NIAID), Anthony Fauci’s former institute. Taubenberger, who also worked with Fauci on GOF issues, will lead GOF reforms at NIAID, according to an NIH statement to the DCNF.

"Director Bhattacharya has full confidence in Dr. Taubenberger to lead reforms at NIAID that strengthen biosafety, prohibit dangerous gain-of-function research, and align the institute’s work with the true health needs of the American people,” the statement reads.

Taubenberger had throughout his decades-long career worked with Fauci to defend GOF research, including the work in Wuhan in the early pandemic period. Restrictions would have hampered his own career. Taubenberger revived and published the genome of the infamous 1918 flu, also called the "Spanish Flu.”

About 50 million people worldwide died from the flu between 1918 and 1919, and about 675,000 people died in the U.S., per the Cleveland Clinic.

"To my knowledge there hasn’t ever been a lab leak of 1918 Spanish flu … However, the information as to how to make Spanish flu virus has leaked across the globe courtesy of the US taxpayer,” Simon Wain-Hobson, an emeritus professor of virology at the Institute Pasteur, told the DCNF.

"Dr. Taubenberger’s paper has been downloaded in labs across the globe including Russia, North Korea, Iran … And with Dr. Taubenberger atop the NIAID, it is logical that dual use research of concern around infectious agents will not get the thought needed to protect US citizens,” he added.

So our tax dollars are being used to bring back some really ugly things from the past. Why not work with smallpox while you're at it? That was the most dangerous disease ever.

How does this help the GOF clowns? Simple:

The policy will be determined by the heads of relevant agencies rather than standardized across agencies. This approach could also invite loopholes from subversive bureaucrats, a separate former government source said, who added that there are teams of scientists dedicated to exploiting loopholes.

The same NIH official responsible for former President Joe Biden’s policy has been tasked by Bhattacharya with overhauling it.

In other words they have wide leeway to decide how to rein it in - if they choose to do so at all.

And this means meet the new boss, same as the old boss:

NIH officials intend to maintain certain pre-COVID policies that allowed for coronavirus engineering projects to be offshored to Wuhan, according to three government sources. Projects would fall under a spectrum according to their risk — "green light,” "yellow light,” or "red light” — with "red light” projects recommended by each agency to a higher-level review.

But NIH would determine which of its projects are subject to stronger review without external audits of the completeness of NIH’s reports, according to two government sources.

So basically they are just going to keep their heads down and keep doing what they are doing. More from the article:

NIH would also dole out exemptions for "national security” purposes.

NIH contractor Alex Washburne, a former Sandia National Laboratories scientist who in 2023 published research pointing to a probable lab origin of COVID, has pushed for a continuation of gain-of-function research in order to match gain-of-function research in hostile countries like China, according to two government sources.

Washburne shared with the DCNF in June that he is developing dual use research of concern — viral research that could be misapplied as a bioweapon — bringing his future research plans squarely under the policy upon which he advises.

So basically he's talking about BIOWEAPONS research and not just gain of function. Bioweapons were banned by Richard Nixon.

Here's what the guy running the show thinks:

In February 2025, Washburne wrote in his Substack that combatting Trump and "the goons who enable him” was of higher priority than reining in pandemic pathogens, his current task at NIH. Washburne also wrote that he would withhold further analyses about the origins of COVID due to his opposition to Trump.

so the NIH is full of Trump hatred at top levels. Does anyone still not believe it wasn't these a-holes who released the original Covid 19 to begin with?

I am fairly certain they plotted with the Chinese to do this to turn what would have been a runaway election into a victory for the Democrats.

Mueller Excused from Testimony

Timothy Birdnow

How very convenient.

Robert Mueller has difficulty speaking, will not testify before Congress

His family claims he is now mute from Parkinsons disease.

He was slated to testify over the handling of the Epstein case but has been excused due to health considerations. I wonder; there is no reason he couldn't testify by closed-circuit video without being subject to the viccissitudes of a Congressional grilling. He could even answer questions by typing into a computer.

In politics there are no coincidences.

Security Issues at FEMA

Timothy Birdnow

Incompetence or purposeful sabotage?

Homeland's Noem Fires 24 FEMA Employees After Data Breach

From Zerohedge:

A cyber hacker breached FEMA systems, but no sensitive data was taken from any Department of Homeland Security (DHS) networks, the department reported. FEMA is an agency within the DHS.

FEMA’s chief information officer, chief information security officer, and 22 other IT employees allegedly responsible for the security failure were immediately terminated.

The Epoch Times' Jill McLaughlin reports that Noem accused longtime employees of working to prevent DHS personnel from solving the problem and downplaying how bad the breach was when DHS stepped in to fix the issue.

While conducting a routine cybersecurity review, the DHS’s chief information officer discovered "significant security vulnerabilities” that gave a hacker access to FEMA’s network.

So, is this just the normal incompetence of people who largely can't be fired and who trust in the Democratic Party to keep them safe or are these intentional security lapses to aid, say, a rival country like China? Or to set up a hack that could humiliate the President? We know the Deep State is not above risking national security to secure their own power.

Noem ordered this review and it found:

The alleged failures included an agency-wide lack of multi-factor authentication, use of prohibited legacy protocols, failing to fix known vulnerabilities, and inadequate operational visibility.

This is probably just the kind of incompetence we see from political appointees with government funding but you never know.

Than God the adults are finally in charge.

Then there is this from the article:

News of the FEMA security breach and the firings came days after nearly 200 current and former FEMA employees signed a declaration protesting the Trump administration’s disaster response changes.

The employees published a petition to Congress, arguing FEMA is under the leadership of people "lacking legal qualifications, Senate approval, and the demonstrated background required of a FEMA Administrator.”

So there has been talk of mutiny afoot. Now this either proves the operation was hopelessly incompetent or it proves it was corrupt and plotting. Either way this only justifies Noem's efforts at reforming FEMA.

I would remind everyone FEMA was skipping houses with MAGA signage under orders from the Biden Administration, handing out emergency aid on the basis of politics. That alone is corrupt to the core.

Coverup in Minneapolis?

Dana Mathewson

Is there a coverup on the Robert Westman shootings in Minneapolis?

There is a severe dearth of information here. Mendota Heights is many miles from Eagan and even farther from the church that Westman shot up. It is often identified as West St. Paul. Are we sure the incident described there is describing the same person? With all those redactions it could well be someone else entirely.

And shortly after the "incident," there was a Fox News article by a supposed Mental Health care professional who lived in the same residence unit that Westman lived in, and who knew Westman, and who states unequivocally that he never at any time saw any "red flag" behavior from Westman. And, being a Mental Health care professional, he says he would have spotted it immediately.

I'm not betting two cents on the idea that there's any kind of coverup! Nope, not at all!

Tim replies:

I don't know Dana; a casual neighbor is hardly a guy in a position to make a diagnosis from a lack of information. Certainly the shooter was cagey enough to not cut his hair before the deed to avoid tipping his hand by his own admission. Not every disturbed person tips their hand.

That said you are in a far better position to know what is happening than am I or most of our readers.

How much local reporting even mentions he's trans? We aren't getting that from the national news by and large (except Fox and a few others).

The very lack of information suggests a coverup, but does in no way PROVE a coverup, methinks.
