The Russians are used to the cold weather. This isn't Napoleon's Frenchmen, or Hitler's Wehrmacht. Remember, the cold will effect the Ukrainian army equally.

Bear in mind the Russians are already there; they aren't marching trooops across open country.

Agreed Larry. The Left has been building this for decades and now the weight of the mass of it is causing an avalanche. These big corporations know they have to get on board or meet an untimely end, so they are now at the had of the parade, falling over each-other to show how woke they are.

I am not optimistic about our future. Many good conservatives believe we are going to turn this around at the ballot box. I don't agree and never did. We let the Left take over every institution and we won't be able to root them out at all. If we do it will be a long, laborious process, one I fear we may not have the stamina to succeed at doing.

Again, I liken this to an avalanche; enough snow falls and then it all goes. We are going to have to rebuild from scratch.

We are the insurgents now; the way they took out Donald Trump shows political action does not really matter so much anymore as does restoring the threads they have pulled out. Oh, don't get me wrong;

I'm not advocating surrender, nor do I think elections are unimportant at this point. But I am saying we may not be able to win this. The American People seem to have been lulled to sleep yet again. Even now with Biden wrecking everything like a Martian tripod in War of the Worlds a good third of the country is happy with him. He should be under 10% approval at this point.

I am on record stating the theft of the last election was the end of the American Republic. I stand by it. Like Rome, we'll have the trappings of our Republic and a lot of people won't realize it's gone. But gone it will be and historians will acknowledge that. Now we must start anew.

Actually Dana, cloth masks would be some help to keep you from inhaling fallout (which is basically dust). An N95 mask would do better.

Which brings something to mind...

Biden handed out a bunch of N95 masks recently. I got a few free from my drug store. Now he knew the pandemic was winding down and the CDC was going to have to end the mandate soon. Why hand out expensive N95 masks at the END of a pandemic?

Was it perhaps because he knew he was going to lead us into war with a nuclear power? Did he want people having masks in case of the Big One?

How much haven't we heard from our brave leaders?

N95's offer some protection from viruses, more from bacteria. But they are great at filtering out dust. Fallout is irradiated dust.

Of course, if you are taking that much fallout, you are in big trouble even if you aren't inhaling it.

There is something very odd about all this.

Can someone explain to me why the media seems to be pushing that the Ukrainians are Racists stories? Like all racists stories the media is long on accusations from a few with just the one side of the story being told over and over and over......

In searching for an answer to my own question I found the truth and what I uncovered in so doing doing is so very  typical of a democrat.

The only reason I asked the question is from a single report by Sky news on how 3 Ethiopian students were asked to debus for Ukrainians, the next day reporters must have abandoned the war story and looked for every small slight and declaring it to be racist. This while a war was going on around them.

Then I heard mention of The Asov Battalion and saw who they really are and who the democrats were claiming them to be. In particular one Democrat (yes I know, put them in the bag,shake bag, empty contents and out comes what was put in, nothing} Elissa Slothkin who only last July calling for The Asov Battalion be put on a terrorist list, even though at that time the Battalion was part of the regular Ukrainian army.

Just a detail no big deal.

Checking on Slothkins stance on the war in Ukraine one shouldnt be surprised that her position is now supporting those neo-nazis and the Americans that joined the Asov Battalion to learn how to become neo-nazis. She is even showing Biden her big girl panties by saying Biden isnt doing enough. You just gotta love it.

Eastern Europe and particularly the former Soviet Republics are still not on board with this New World Order thing. They may not want to be part of the Russian orb but neither do they want to join the opium dreams of the NWO and the Davos crowd. Racism was a primary battering ram used to fundamentally transform Western Civilization, and I rather suspect they wish to use it to fundamentally transform Eastern Europe as well.

I admit racism was a problem in Ukraine, as it was in Poland and a lot of other places. Not so much racism as anti-Semitism, really. But it had also been a problem the world over and was hardly unique in Ukraine. They have a Jewish President, after all.

But racism is the greatest tool the Ruling Class ever devised. They have people so worried about it, so willing to see it behind every bush, that it acts as an engine, driving all sorts of societal change in the name of stopping it.

Who would have ever believed we would be openly censoring speech in the name of racial "equity"?

It's being used to advance world socialism. And countries like Ukraine or Poland or some of these others need to get on board or be waterboarded.

It makes me wonder if the internationalists didn't want this invasion by Russia. While Russia is the leader of the opposition to their plans, this thing could allow both Russia and Ukraine to be dragged into the NWO whether they like it or not.

The AP admits Biden oversold electric vehicles. They say he claimed ambtions as accomplishments.

He claimed gun makers cannot be sued. That was false.

He claimed we are in better shape with Covid than we are.

I would add Biden talked about his infrastructure bill and how dire the need is for one. Yet he ignores the fact that Obama basically had one with his stimulus, a multi-trillion dollar package, and yet we need one now. Why is that?

Joe Biden is a liar, plain and simple, And even his allies are sneaking away from him.

Illinois has a bill before the state legislature that would make drinking and shagging illegal.

It would become an act of rape in Illinois to have sex with a woman who is intoxicated.

Here is the 411:

The ill-conceived bill was introduced in the Illinois House of Representatives by state Rep. Mark Walker, a Democrat, and has since gained nine co-sponsors, including Republican Rep. Chris Bos.

The text of the bill would amend the Criminal Code of 2012 to update the Sex Offenses Article of the Code to include a new definition for "unable to give knowing consent” that "includes when the victim is intoxicated, but the accused did not provide or administer the intoxicating substance.”

This means that someone who willingly drinks alcohol but then has sex with someone, possibly due to lowered inhibitions, can automatically claim to be a rape victim.

Defense attorney Scott Greenfield lamented the bill on Twitter, calling it "a nightmare.”

Professor Roy Spencer runs one of the five big measurements of world temperature, some say the most authoritative, at the University of Alabama at Huntsville.

His work has been widely cited in the scientific literature and has won him the American Meteorological Society's Special Award.

We should all be worried about this censorship of the truth.

Many authors writing about fictional dystopian futures, including George Orwell, predict a ruling power that controls the public's access to the truth. This is done through censorship and propaganda. This is always justified as in the interests of the people to maintain safety, law and order, and to avoid departure from the State's goals.

The authors don't need to dream up these fictional futures. Orwell used the Soviet Union as a base for his fictional future. But any number of communist, and totalitarian regimes, some which continue to this day, and some which have re-emerged, provide similar models. China, North Korea, Islamic States, and Putin's Russia see controlling what their public know and think as crucial.

Unfortunately the deep state in The West are just as eager to control information. Why can't we learn from history? Totalitarian regimes always start with those in power controlling access to information, or how news is reported.

For decades climate scientists who did not go along with the 'accepted' global warming scare campaign had their funding cut, their journal articles refused, their careers destroyed. And Big Tech platforms and the legacy media have played a huge role in that process.

With the Covid pandemic we saw a similar control and censorship campaign. We witnessed the 'cancelling' of any medical practitioners or researchers who spoke out against the controlled narrative. This is despite that narrative being proved consistently wrong. But Big Tech And the legacy media was there at every step, censoring the truth.

Each one of us has a responsibility to seek out the truth and help overcome this Big Brother censorship. We have a responsibility to vote for politicians who are truly committed to free speech.

Only with enough of us taking on that personal responsibility, can we hope to avoid a future run by the global elites controlling social and legacy media.

The nuclear release procedure of the US and Russia are almost identical, they were developed together in 1962.

Nuclear release can only occur when the military presents the political leadership with a number of options., without these no release is possible.

The Russians have a nuclear briefcase, Cheget ((named after a mountain) similar to the American Nuclear Football.

This is a communications device, it can’t be used to fire nuclear weapons. The actual release codes are kept by the military.

Just like in the US, the briefcase is there to allow a President to communicate with the military over a secured line, it is nothing more than a big phone.

In both countries, the final decision to deploy nuclear weapons lies with the military.

These systems were created jointly by the US and the Soviet Union in 1962 as a result of a meeting between Supreme Allied Commander Europe, General Lemnitzer, and the Supreme Commander of the Unified Armed Forces of the Warsaw Treaty Organization, Marshal of the Soviet Union Grechko. These protocols are known as the Berlin Accords.

I don't know about that. The treaty was with the Soviet Union, a country that no longer exists.

Russia's current nuclear stockpile goes back to 2005, well after the demise of the Soviet Empire. Putin took money from the U.S. earmarked for destroying the old Soviet nukes and spent it to make a spiffy new arsenal. I don't think the controls that were in place are there anymore. Certainly Mr. Putin would not have allowed a voluntary check on his own authority at that point - especially from the military. The military and the KGB always hated each-other and rarely cooperated.

Mr. Putin, as a former KGB agent, no doubt would not give the military this authority over him.

I suspect this NATO guy is trying to quell fears by blowing smoke up our posteriors. I am of the belief that Mr. Putin can launch his birds whenever he wishes.

VI have my doubts about that Lou. Remember, there is no Soviet Union any more. And Russia destroyed the old Soviet nuclear stockpile - and built a new, better stockpile. They were not bound by the agreements of the USSR. I rather suspect Russia's president has far more discretion with their nukes than did the Soviet Premier. He was the guy who had them built, after all. Putin isn't the kind of man who would allow such power to reside in the hands of a military he does not fully control.

I had thought to watch the Biden Dog and Pony Show last night and post a comprehensive analysis of the speech of the man who would be king, but then I actually saw the cringe-worthy display.

To quote Joe Pesche's character in the movie My Cousin Vinny when making his opening statement to the jury "everything that guy said was bullshit...thank you."

In a lackluster performance (the kind Biden is famous for) the usurping geriatric made all the usual endless promises of goodies and also usurped much of the Trump agenda, and took credit for much of what Mr. Trump accomplished.

He is claiming unemployment rates are HIS accomplishment, when in fact this goes well back to when we began re-opening the country under Trump, for example.

And he accepted no blame for high inflation, yammering on about Covid and supply chains.

And he spent vast sums of money last night, including a promise for free child care, among other things - the very stuff that has us suffering this runaway inflation now.

In what was a matter of pure chutzpah Mr. Fuzzy Bunny Slippers promised to get the cost of insulin down. He railed against drug companies for price gouging and then said the Federal Government would attend to it.

This was hypocrisy on an astonishing level.

Donald Trump had issued a number of executive orders designed to lower the price of insulin during his tenure of office. One of the first things Joe Biden did when taking over was cancel all of them.

According to Bloomberg Government:

"The HHS Thursday froze the former Trump administration’s December drug policy that requires community health centers to pass on all their insulin and epinephrine discount savings to patients”

"Centers that don’t pass on the savings wouldn’t qualify for federal grants.”

"This freeze is part of the Biden administration’s large-scale effort announced this week that will scrutinize the Trump administration’s health policies,” the report noted. "If the previous administration’s policies raise ‘fact, law, or policy’ concerns, the Biden HHS will delay them and consult with the Office of Management and Budget about other actions.
"Biden enters the presidency with at least a dozen lawsuits waiting over Trump-era moves to lower drug prices, an issue the new administration will likely tackle in its own way. The Department of Health and Human Services under Biden inherits challenges to rules that tie drug reimbursement to cheaper foreign drug prices and allow medication imports from Canada. It also faces complaints over Trump’s push for drugmakers to ship discounted drugs bought by low-income health centers to commercial contract pharmacies.”

Biden also made some whopping gaffes during his speech.

He became confused, saying the Iranian People, instead of Ukrainian, for example.

Now, with another President I would say he was perhaps giving a warning to the Iranians. But not Joe Biden; Biden's Administration has secretly reworked the Obama nuclear deal with them, guaranteeing Iran develop nuclear weapons. He's used this Ukraine crisis as cover to finalize this deal. He had already lifted sanctions on Iran. Yet strangely enough he did not mention that at the SOTU. Gee; I wonder why.

BTW Biden needs Russia to finalize his Iran deal.

If this were President Trump the media would be howling, and questioning his intellectual fitness for office.

The applause for Biden was quite tepid throughout this speech, only warming a bit later as he stole some of Donald Trump's material and praised our military (a military he largely sold out in Afghanistan and elsewhere.)

Sadly, one of the few standing ovations came when Captain Peachfuzz called for "immigration reform". Now, we know what Democrats mean by immigration reform. They mean "comprehensive immigration reform" which is code for amnesty for illegal aliens.

The Republicans joined the Democrats in thunderous applause at this, showing they are not on the side of the American People any more than are the Democrats.

Comprehensive Immigration Reform has been a party dream since the Bush era, for inexplicable reasons. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce wants it so there will be cheap serf labor available. But the cost is American jobs and America's culture and will hand power to the Democrats.

If the Democrats want something you can generally assume it's going to advance their power. How the GOP fails to see they are committing suicide - both politically and culturally - is beyond me.

At any rate, the usurper received minimal enthusiasm even from his own party.

Also, did everyone notice the fake smile on Nancy Pelosi's face? She looked like the Joker from Batman. I suspect they took wires and attached them to the corners of her mouth and brought them up around her ears. Nobody's face bends that way.

At any rate, Biden called for more massive spending (that will cause more inflation and further the decline of the American Republic), called for "voting rights' which is code for making it easier for them to steal elections (it most certainly isn't "voting rights" when anyone can walk into a place and cancel my vote. And Biden wants to nationalize the vote nationwide to overturn voter I.D. laws), and promised a seemingly endless laundry list of new spending. He also wanted to make unionizing much easier, so his mafia friends in the labor movement can steal more elections for him. Biden also renewed his calls for "green energy" and electric vehicles - the very cause of the problem that led to the Ukrainian invasion. Europe is dependent on Russia for oil and gas because Joe Biden has been pushing his green fantasies and the Europeans have bought into them. They switched to electric cars and the like and found they still needed gas and oil from the Russians when the intermittent power they could produce was insufficient. So Russia, flush with oil and gas money, went to war with Ukraine to protect the flow of their product to German and the rest.

Biden, while calling for the rights of parents in schools, condemned moves to actually empower parents. He also spoke of protecting LGBTQ "rights" against efforts to stop radical school teachers from telling six year olds they are transgendered and pushing them to switch sexes.

In the end Joe Biden sounded shaky and mentally cloudy. He did not project the kind of strong leadership needed at a time like this. He never once mentioned Taiwan, for instance, something he should have done. Why didn't he say America stands with Taiwan?

After the spectacle of Biden beclownment we were treated to Iowa Governor Kim Kardassian Reynolds. Actually, Reynolds didn't do a bad job. She said the right things. But she had no fire in her belly, came across as a kind of school-marm, the type of woman you would encounter at a church social. Nice, and even smart, but you couldn't begin to see her go against the mainstream media when the time came, much less Putin or Xi.

This shows where the Republicans are at. Terrified by the ferocious response to Donald Trump and his "mean" persona, they want to put forward Miss Sherry from Lamb Chop, or the teacher from Romper Room.

They don't ever learn. Such people are going to be chewed up and spit out by the media. The only President who has successfully rolled back the tide of leftism has been Trump, and that because he fought back against them rather than tried to make nice. Yes, Reagan made some headway, but only some (he lost the Senate, for example, after his first term) and people forget HE was hated and despised - and went after the media and the Democrats quite vociferously on occasion.

Times have changed since Reagan, and if you are trying to restore America you won't do it with an approving media nor the respect of the Democrats. That is a sure sign you are a sell-out or a weakling.

I don't know why the Republicans keep trying this. I do, actually; they are happy being in the minority, not really accomplishing anything. They want the power and respect of being there, and want the financial opportunities it provides, but don't really want to do the hard work. They are using their positions of power to feather their own nests, not actually save the country. The public wants America as it was. The Democrats follow the lead of the media, who want America to be a European socialist state. The GOP does just enough to keep the base from revolting so they can keep the gravy train rolling. Donald Trump upset that apple cart, trying to actually give the public what they had elected him for. That is a cardinal sin in Washington, which is why the GOP hated Trump almost as much as the Democrats.

So while I agreed with everything the Iowa Governor said, I just feel she's a classic example of the kind of leader produced by the Republican Party. Such leaders are better suited to Canada, where politeness is a requirement.

Sadly, there is still no understanding in the GOP that this is a war for the soul and survival of America. They still think this is just the political season and things will continue forever.

Were I to rate Biden's performance I would give him a D for dimwit. He did look o.k., I suppose, and he hung around after so he didn't tucker out. I guess they had him pumped with adderall.
