These stories are an attempt at a self-fulfilling prophecy. They WANTED the stocks to tank and predicted they would in advance. But really; how many hippies are on Spotify? I mean, most of those ancient codgers can barely work a microwave oven. At this point they aren't a demographic. And who among young people know Young, or Joni Mitchell anyway? It was pure bull from the get-go.

The invention of the printing press allowed propaganda on a mass scale, and technology has only enabled it further. The Reformation would never have happened without Gutenberg, for instance. Nor would the Enlightenment. Nor the rise of Socialism in the 19th century.

I do disagree with your characterization of Mussolini being right wing. He had been the editor of Italy's socialist magazine and Fascism was solidly on the Left. It was statist, and government controlled the economy. It was, as Mussolini himself pointed out, totalitarian, meaning the state was intimately involved in every aspect of life. Even the Bolsheviks recognized Fascism as a branch of their own worldview; they said "first brown then red" meaning it was a final stage before Marxism.

The primary difference between the two was that Fascism allowed private ownership of companies but these were wholly at the service of the State whereas the Communists believed in public ownership only. And Fascism was "spiritual" in that they recognized the spiritual component of civilization, unlike the Marxists who saw only the material, economic aspects. This played out in the Fascists promoting the State as the new church and the People's Will as the new religion. Marx was the people's religion in communist countries, so they actually did it too, even though they claimed not to believe in anything but the material. Fascism openly recognized the need for a faux religion.

But otherwise these were two peas in a pod. Social welfare programs, government regulation of the economy, top-down command governing structures, police state enforcement of edicts, etc. were all pretty much the same.

The presence of T cells in younger people, especially teens and children, goes a long way to explain why they are such a low risk group. Yet those young and growing hearts have shown to have unacceptable rates of myocarditis and pericarditis due to the vaccines. What ever happened to "First do no harm” and that dictum applies to each individual patient, not some amorphous "do it for the greater populace”.

I saw a clip of a doctor from Khalifornistan testifying before Congress about the intimidation by the state health authorities. That is, if a given doctor is deemed to be "writing too many exemptions” from the vaccines, said doctor would be subject to investigation with the vague threat to his medical license. The definition of how many exemptions would constitute too many is not stated. Just coming under state investigation jeopardizes his standing in the medical profession and could even affect his malpractice insurance.

We know that the vaccines have caused blood clots and even amputations. Now consider the case of a vascular specialist who has a practice filled with patients suffering from blood clotting. Sorry, no exemption for you, sweetie.

A while back we had mousepalooza here at Chez Birdnow. After the huge roden bash I got mad, and found one source of ingress and egress for them and blocked it. It had been a nice day the next day and I hope they went out to enjoy it - then froze.

In short, after Mousepalooza I got mad and was thinking of going to the mattresses. I hit one of the big boss mice at four a.m.

Oh, wait; that's the Godfather.

But I DID get mad, and I went to war.

I bought vast quantitites of poison. I bought a bunch of snap traps. And I bought some glue traps for the first time.

I had trepidations about the glue traps. They are not humane. A mouse gets stuck on them and then waits to die, in fear and trembling.

But this has to stop. So I deployed a few glue traps in areas where I could check regularly.

At any rate, it was not especially mousy yesterday, but I did catch no fewer than four mice in one of my snaptraps. Mostly little babies. But one of the glue traps produced.

I heard a knocking and went to check. Sure enough, a good sized mouse was stuck to the trap. I took pity, so I bashed it's brains in with a fireplace shovel.

It really was all I could do for the poor creature. I wasn't going to try to get it detached from the trap (it would probably bite me if I tried) and I certainly wasn't going to let it go in the cold night. There may still be an access point to the house and it still might get back in.

So I bashed it in it's little noggin with the shovel. Unfortunately, it made a squeel after the first bash (which broke my heart - I'm clearly not Godfather material) and so I bashed it again and again. Eventually it wasn't moving and it's eyes were staring.

I don't mind catching these beasts in the traps; they are dead when you get them. But they wouldn't listen to reason and so I was left with this. I had bought some of those sonic things (which apparently work for some people) and I've seen the mice stroll right past it, unconcerned. Maybe a more expensive brand? I got these at the hardware store (not a big box store) and they are probably specifically chosen by the experts there. The guys at this store know their business.

But that didn't work, nor has mouse spray. I sprayed and within minutes the mice were back, chewing on everything.

So it came down to glue traps. I needed them beccause the bigger mice have been getting away from my snap traps. One just carried the trap off and I have never found it! I suspect he's planning on using it against me one of these days.

Still, I sure hated to kill that mouse in that fashion.

I think the fact my traps are starting to produce may mean I'm winning the war. But it's got a long way to go.

I'm making them an offer they can't refuse. They seem to be gobbling the poison and setting off the traps. I think they are getting pretty hungry. I know they are looking lean.

Hopefully I'll wipe out the heads of the five mouse families, and the rest will die out. I feel bad; they are stuck inside now and even when it warms won't get out (hopefully). I wish them no real ill - I just want to kill them utterly!

California adds insult to injury.

Two months ago customers of San Diego Gas & Electric were hit with a 28% jump in our electric bill. Yes, 28% government approved, all at one time rise, in the middle of what passes for winter here.

Now we are being told we are being moved into a CCA, some sort of cooperative power buying thing that will use "31% green energy” to replace the power provided by SDG&E. All customers will be switched unless they call a phone number to "opt out.”

All of this was due to an "Initiative” which was passed several years ago to save consumers money because it was a "cooperative” which would be a "not for profit” enterprise, and save the planet by using "green energy.”

Now it’s being put in place right after an SDG&E 28% rate increase and our rates will indeed go down, but only by 1% of the current amount. Had it been put in place two months ago rates would have gone up 27%..

Smooth, huh?

U.S. natural gas future pricesskyrocketed 72% on Thursday on forecasts of colder weather. It was the sharpest one-day climb for the commodity since the contract launched in 1990, CME Group data confirmed.

The 72% surge in prices came before the expiry of the February contract for nat gas as weather forecasts now look colder. The March contract’s price rise paled compared to the February contract rise. But the 10% rise for the March contract—on any other day—would have been more noticeable.

Stories are told over and over until, at some point questions are no longer asked of the validity of the stories themselves, they become believed, engrained within the collective consciousness itself, even if they are fundamentally lies. That tends to be mode upon which most histories are written and we tend to believe even that which is untrue. Questions are vital to our discernment!

Like claims everyone thought Columbus would fall off the edge of the (flat) world. That was an out and out lie told by a Progressive named John William Draper who wanted to tar the old Christian world by making people look ignorant back then. He wrote a popular textbook for children and it became part of our lore, even though nobody believed in a flat Earth since the time of the Greeks, and even the Old Testament agreed with a round Earth. (Job 26:7) But Americans dutifully believed this lie and even today I suspect most people do.

Repeat a lie often enough...

Another example is "Inherit the Wind" which was a work of fiction and not at all what happened at the Scopes trial (which is why they changed the name of William Jennings Bryan in the story.) I suspect most people believe the lie that Bryan was a bible-thumper shouting "I BELIEVE in GAWD!" when in fact his primary argument was that states had the right to control education - not the Federal government or the courts. Forgotten, too is the fact that Scopes was hired by the ACLU to teach Darwinism precisely so they could challenge the state law in court; he was not just this honorable seeker-after-truth as he was portrayed. But the fiction has overtaken the reality.

Ditto Galileo. He never said "and yet it moves" under his breath. In point of fact, Galileo got off easy; he insulted the Pope (his king, as he was a citizen of the Papal states) by presenting the Pope's arguments in the character of "Simplicio" the fool, in his Dialogues.

He also willfully refused to teach Copernicanism as theory but kept teaching it as settled science (sound familiar?) In those days that would lead to a problem putting on your hat; you would find it difficult to secure it to your shoulders.

I could go on but the point is made. We believe all these things because they were repeated endlessly until they became the "facts" even when they were gross exaggerations or outright lies.

Think about this for just a moment, at the end of 2017 researchers discovered that the island of Zhokhov, in the high Arctic was forested with a species of birch trees just 9000 years ago until about 4000 years ago when the climate became so cold that nothing grew on the island. Not only that but the now uninhabitable island was inhabited by humans who enjoyed temperatures at least 6°C hotter than current temperatures in the high Arctic. An interesting point is that the humans hunted Polar Bears, Seals and Walrus in an Arctic that was almost free of sea ice for most of the year. Oh, the poor polar bears! They have been around for an estimated 1.7 million years and survived every climate whether warm or cold. Does that raise any questions in your mind given the current ideas about global warming?

Temperatures peaked between 7800 and 8000 BC years ago, the period is known as the Holocene Optimal because temperatures were ideal for all plant life, animal and sea life, but since the peak temperatures they have been falling to the point that our temperatures today are closer to those during the period immediately after the end of the last ice age than to those of the peak during the Holocene Maximum.

From the peak temperatures of the Holocene Optimal they dropped to the Minoan Warming Period, then cooler to the Roman Warming Period. During the Roman Warming temperatures were high enough for the Romans to import ancient Mediterranean wine grape vines and cultivate them in the northern part of Britain, not only that but there is evidence that Mediterranean wine grape vines were cultivated in Scandinavia and Northern Russia. That's impossible in today's cold temperatures.

After the Roman Warming Period came the Medieval Warming Period, it was so warm during that time the Vikings colonized Greenland and thrived, importing ancient European Barley, they grew fruit trees, many of the roots can be found in Viking graves and warm weather vegetables until once again it became too cold and they starved. Few realize that most of the Glaciers were gone or greatly reduced during the Holocene Optimal until they began to greatly advance during the Little Ice Age.

Another thing to think about is two years ago researchers found another of the 8 USAF planes that made an emergency landing on Greenland during WWII in 1942, it was buried under 340 feet of snowpack ice. There was also one found in 1995 under 268 feet of snowpack ice, prior to that one was found in 1988 under 240 feet of snowpack ice. Now think about the fact that in the last 77 years, during the period we are told has been one of the greatest warming of the climate, 340 feet of snowpack ice has accumulated over Greenland. Absolutely none of this had to do with the Trace gas CO2 which, throughout the geological record, has always tracked temperature increases, not led them.

Look, there is a reason why the Mongols exploded out of the desolate Mongolian desert when they did; their food supply increased thanks to the Medieval Warming Period. Otherwise there would not have been enough to feed a large army. We see this all over the globe, too. In North America the city of Cahokia rose and in 900 it was larger than London at that time. It was abandoned by the time Columbus arrived in the New World, and that because of crop failures and pestillences, unquestionably because the climate had cooled. We saw the same thing in South America with the collapse of the Incan Empire as drought and cold wrecked their crops and led to a split in the empire that made their conquest by Pizzaro easy. If you look at the movement of peoples you can see how warming periods influenced their flourishing - and often cold periods saw their decline. There is a reason why the Arabs burst out of their peninsula when they did; they were able to feed enough people during the MWP.

As recently as the mid-1990s, hydrocarbons derived from geochemical conditions in the Lithosphere and Upper Mantle (abiotic hydrocarbons ) were still a topic of debate. The literature since that time has exploded in the knowledge of abiotic hydrocarbons. Given the sad state of Science in the U.S., most of this literature is published elsewhere. A simple search in Google Scholar for "Abiotic hydrocarbons”, limited to the year 2021 will flood your computer screen.

The surest way to identify someone who is scientifically uninformed is someone who still uses the term "fossil fuels” or states that we should "keep it in the ground” (Senator Elizabeth Warren, D - MA).

Coal is derived much as a fluid coking unit in a refinery or charcoal produced by wood in a oxygen-deficient kiln. Boyce and Nelson of Stanford have determined that fallen trees of the Early Carboniferous were decomposed by fungi, termites, and borer insects — the same as today.

Methane is produced in unimaginable quantities and seeps out everywhere, principally in the oceans, where the crust is thinnest, yet we have insane policies trying to staunch every wisp of natural gas while it exists in parts per billion in the atmosphere. Methane and oil seep out of the planet in such prodigious quantities as to dwarf human activity.

The energy policies of the United States are driven by ignorance, Political Science, and cronyism. Yet Americans shiver in the dark and are crushed by energy prices.

A lot of Alarmist types sneered at me for saying this was evidence of solar induced planetary warming; they refused to believe the methane could be abiotic. But I think it was clearly evidence for both abioitic generation of methane and of solar activity warming the planet.

Daniel Horowitz chronicles the huge spike in miscarriages and other diseases (such as cancer) in the military since the Covid vaccine came out.

On Monday, during Sen. Ron Johnson’s five-hour hearing on a "COVID-19: Second Opinion,” Ohio attorney Thomas Renz, who has been representing clients suing the vaccine mandates, presented DOD medical billing data from the Defense Medical Epidemiology Database (DMED) that paints a shockingly disturbing picture of the health of our service members in 2021.

According to the military,DMED is the Armed Forces Health Surveillance Branch’s (AFHSB) "web-based tool to remotely query de-identified active component personnel and medical event data contained within the Defense Medical Surveillance System (DMSS).” In other words, it contains every ICD medical billing code for any medical diagnosis in the military submitted for medical insurance billing during any given period of time. Three military doctors have presented queried data to Renz that shows a shocking and sudden spike in nearly every ICD code for common vaccine injuries in 2021.

In a declaration under penalty of perjury that Renz plans to use in federal court, Drs. Samuel Sigoloff, Peter Chambers, and Theresa Long — three military doctors — revealed that there has been a 300% increase in DMED codes registered for miscarriages in the military in 2021 over the five-year average. The five-year average was 1,499 codes for miscarriages per year. During the first 10 months of 2021, it was 4,182. As Renz explained to me in an interview with TheBlaze, these doctors queried the numbers for hundreds of codes from 2016 through 2020 to establish a baseline five-year average. These codes were generally for ailments and injuries that medical literature has established as being potential adverse effects of the vaccines.

Aside from the spike in miscarriage diagnoses (ICD code O03 for spontaneous abortions), there was an almost 300% increase in cancer diagnoses (from a five-year average of 38,700 per year to 114,645 in the first 11 months of 2021). There was also a 1,000% increase in diagnosis codes for neurological issues, which increased from a baseline average of 82,000 to 863,000!

Some other numbers he did not mention at the hearing but gave to me in the interview are the following:

• myocardial infarction –269% increase
• Bell’s palsy – 291% increase
• congenital malformations (for children of military personnel) – 156% increase
• female infertility – 471% increase
• pulmonary embolisms – 467% increase
