Shell Game with Power in California

Bill H.

California adds insult to injury.

Two months ago customers of San Diego Gas & Electric were hit with a 28% jump in our electric bill. Yes, 28% government approved, all at one time rise, in the middle of what passes for winter here.

Now we are being told we are being moved into a CCA, some sort of cooperative power buying thing that will use "31% green energy” to replace the power provided by SDG&E. All customers will be switched unless they call a phone number to "opt out.”

All of this was due to an "Initiative” which was passed several years ago to save consumers money because it was a "cooperative” which would be a "not for profit” enterprise, and save the planet by using "green energy.”

Now it’s being put in place right after an SDG&E 28% rate increase and our rates will indeed go down, but only by 1% of the current amount. Had it been put in place two months ago rates would have gone up 27%..

Smooth, huh?

2 No blue state is livable. Better to move to a red state. I recommend Missouri, although we still ahve a lot of RINO types in state government. But the GOP has a supermajority in both houses of Congress and a GOP governor and two Republican senators. And it is slowly moving rightward. It used to be a purple state.

Sadly the Republican dufuses raised the gas tax. They figured people wouldn't notice with rising gas prices anyway. Morons.

But it's getting better regardless.

Everyone wants to move to Texas these days. I fear for Texas, as a lot of liberals are going there now.

Texas has a right to divide into four states per their agreement with the U.S. when they joined the Union. They have never exercised that right - even in the runup to the Civil War - because they liked being the largest state. They haven't been since Alaska joined. So maybe they can divide, making one state of the area containing Austin and Houston. San Antonio needs to go too but there is too much history.

So if we could get three states that would be Republican and only one Democrat, it would be a big success.

It won't happen though. We need to find a way to disincentivize liberals from wrecking another beautiful state.
