PBS Lawyer Calls for Re-education Camps for Republican Children

Timothy Birdnow

It's begun.

PBS lawyer seen on video calling for children of Republicans to be put in reducation camps

Do notice this article is not on Alex Jones' site but is an MSN story.

BREAKING: Project Veritas tapes show @PBS Principal Counsel Michael Beller advocating for political violence.

"Go to the White House & throw Molotov cocktails...”

"Even if Biden wins, we go for all the Republican voters, Homeland Security will take their children away…” pic.twitter.com/JMGo88BDwV

— Ivan Pentchoukov (@IvanPentchoukov) January 12, 2021

"They’re nice,” Beller said. "They have Sesame Street characters in the classrooms, and they watch PBS all day.”

"Kids who are growing up, knowing nothing but Trump for four years, you’ve got to wonder what they’re going to be like. They’ll be raising a generation of intolerant, horrible people — horrible kids,” Beller added.

Beller also called for people to "go to the White House and throw Molotov cocktails” in the event President-elect Joe Biden didn’t win the election in November.

He also expressed joy that the coronavirus was spreading in states where the president saw high approval, saying people won’t go to the polls to vote for Trump.

"What’s great is that COVID is spiking in all the red states right now. So that’s great. Because either those people won’t come out to vote for Trump, you know the red states, or a lot of them are sick and dying,” Beller said. "Americans are so f---ing dumb. You know, most people are dumb.”

The IRS is on the move again

Dana Mathewson

The IRS has been re-weaponized by the Biden Administration and is stepping out of bounds again. John Hinderaker writes in Power Line:

No sooner have the Democrats retaken the White House than the IRS again feels free to use its power to advance partisan interests. This actually happened in May, but it is just now hitting the news: the IRS denied 501(c)(3) nonprofit status to an organization called Christians Engaged. The IRS explained that Christian doctrines are Republican:

You also educate believers on issues that are central to their belief in the Bible as the inerrant M. [The writer of the letter weirdly encodes certain words and phrases, and provides a key. M means "word of God.”] You educate Christians in areas where they can be instrumental as in areas of the sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, laws vs. lawlessness, freedom of speech, religious liberty, government and business ethics, human trafficking, fiscal responsibility in government budgeting, defense, borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations.

How Republican can you get?

You are serving the private interests of the D party [D means Republican] more than incidentally in contravention to Treas. Reg. Section 1.501(c)(3)-1(d)1(ii) as well as serving a substantial nonexempt private purpose. For example, you educate Christians on what the bible says in areas where they can be instrumental including the areas of sanctity of life, the definition of marriage, biblical justice, freedom of speech, defense, and borders and immigration, U.S. and Israel relations. The bible teachings are typically affiliated with the D party [Republican] and candidates. This disqualifies you from exemption under IRC Section 501(c)(3).

It is quite remarkable to see an agency of the federal government publicly take the position that freedom of speech and national defense are Republican values. That is what I always thought, but I didn’t expect the IRS to admit it.

There's more here and I urge you to read it: https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2021/06/the-irs-is-at-it-again.php

Clearly, things are getting way out of hand when a government agency has this kind of power.

Scotus O.K. with Child Slave Labor Overseas

This from Steven Milloy

SCOTUS okay with corporate reliance on African child slave labor. https://supremecourt.gov/opinions/20pdf/19-416_i4dj.pdf…

Happy Juneteenth!

I am so tired of hearing from 'woke' companies about their 'corporate social responsibility'... when the reality is, for example,
Nestle knowingly relies on African child labor labor to produce cocoa.

SCOTUS is okay with this because the slave labor occurs in Africa.

Just outrageous.

Tim adds:

The dirty little secret is that while Black Lives Matter mutter about dog whistles and slavery a hundred and sixty five years ago they don't give a flying frig about actual slavery in multiple places overseas today.

And there is even slavery in America with human trafficking and sexual exploitation. Why doesn't anybody care about that?

How They Weathered the Climategate E-mails

Timothy Birdnow

How did the Global Warming Scam Survive the Climategate E-mails?

It is truly astonishing that there is documentation in their own words that they were scamming the public and the media simply disappeared it. I always bring up the Climategate e-mails and watch the Warmiacs simply deny the plain words of those e-mails. It shows the power of those who control the dissemination of information. They actually have a lot of people believing these e-mails were somehow out of context or just plain lies. That's why it's almost impossible to find them on a Google search these days.

Biden's Chinese Beer Goggles

Warner Todd Huston

Biden just said this about China and EVERY word of it is a lie....."The impact, the world’s attitude towards China as it develops. China is trying very hard to project itself as a responsible and very, very forthcoming nation that they are trying very hard to talk about how they're taking and helping the world in terms of COVID-19 and vaccines. And they're trying very hard. Look, certain things you don't have to explain to the people of the world. They see the results. Is China really actually trying to get to the bottom of this? One thing we did discuss, as I told you, and the EU and at the G7 and with NATO, what we should be doing and what I'm going to make an effort to do, is rally the world to work on what is going to be the physical mechanism available to detect early on the next pandemic and have a mechanism by which we can respond to it and respond to it early. It's going to happen. It's going to happen. We need to do that."

China is NOT "trying very very hard" to be responsible and forthcoming. Biden is either stupid, or a liar.

Prosecutorial Malfeasance in Chauvin Trial

From Andy Garcia:

The Green Hell

Timothy Birdnow

In a discussion about my power outage the other day, David Redfern and I had an interesting discussion.

David said:

We don't really have problems with power cuts in the UK. Occasionally for a few minutes or an hour if something trips or fails.

However, I'm getting increasingly concerned with our reliance on renewables and have been looking at a Natural Gas powered generator.

Less than about £4,000 and it'll run most essentials in the house as well as low power TV, PC etc.

It's just terribly sad that we've come to this in an advanced, civilised society.

I replied:

I fear power outages are the wave of the future as we keep pushing unreliable energy David. It was wise to get one of those generators.

Ordinarily we don't get outages here either, but if this starts happening on a regular basis I'm going to invest in one of those gas ones. I had thought of buying a gasoline powered generator, but I have no safe place to put it and I live in the city, meaning it'll be gone if I just stuck it outside. I don't have a garage, alas!

It IS terrible we see our civilization crumbling like this for nothing.

And David added:

I haven't bought one yet, we are about to extend our house so the work will probably be done then to install one.

They are semi-permanent items, bolted down to a concrete base with a permanent gas supply piped in. https://teamonegroup.co.uk/Pramac-Gas-Power-Generators

They are not the type of item to be lifted and walked off with. Nor should anyone install a petrol or diesel powered generator in a garage, far too risky if something went wrong, and it would be a pain in the backside to keep topping it up with fuel.

In the UK we have been threated with being forced to replace 98% efficient Condensing boilers which are by far the most common and cheapest means of heating a home. Unfortunately they don't work without a reliable electricity supply.

There is a considerable backlash against outlawing gas boilers as the government insists we install Heat Pumps (either Ground sourced or Air Sourced). I just don't have the room on this post to list the problems associated with either other than to say the main one is cost. I priced up a Ground Source Heat Pump for my house as I have sufficient land to lay underground pipes which extract embodied heat from the earth.

It would cost between £20,000 - £30,000 to install one. I replaced my very old, non Condensing Gas boiler with a modern Condensing one 18 months ago for £3,500.

I also priced updating our house to the theoretical ideal standards our government were demanding (not dropped but they will be). Including a Heat Pump the bill came to ~£100,000 however, my discussions with various HVAC engineers established my Victorian cottage could never practically achieve the living conditions we enjoy now despite achieving government standards.

One went as far as to say we would be forced to install a modern 'efficient' Wood Burning stove for winter, which would serve one room unless substantial expense was incurred plumbing it into our existing system of radiators, probably another £30,000.

Our 'green' government which, BTW, has no electoral mandate for this wholesale imposition of green policies, is/was also threatening to make it illegal for me to sell my own house unless it achieves these arbitrary standards.

Imagine that. My principle lifetime investment, paid for with my own Taxed income, with no government subsidy now becomes a government controlled item!

The only people to gain from this immense scam are Banks who will be lending at least £100,000 (my house is a modest 3 bedroom terraced home) to tens of millions of households across the UK who don't have £100,000 spare to spend on their insane policies.

Then there is the government itself which profits from all the taxable expenditure of all this needless waste.

A couple of years after I did my costing exercise, a notable engineer, Michael Kelly, did the same calculation but in a national context and reached exactly the same figures as me. He also highlighted that the UK has approximately one third of the physical labour required to achieve this task, and the CO2 from material production alone to achieve this would far outweigh any theoretical savings made.

The UK and US are now functioning under government regimes more restrictive than former communist countries. I have an acquaintance who has lived in Russia since it was liberated from communism. He tells me the Russian population is utterly astonished at the west's acquiescence to the march of Authoritarianism.

Biden the Appeaser

Timothy Birdnow

Biden is setting the table for war with this craven appeasement. The man is not just a fool; this is criminal negligence.

Seeking to Ease Iran Tensions U.S. Cuts Middle East Troops, Anti-Missile Batteries

This is akin to the defund the police movement; the problem is not the criminals to these dopes but those protecting the innocent. Take their protections away and the criminals won't have anything to be angry about!

This treads on the edges of treason, if you ask me.

Williams Says GOP Will Steal next Election

Timothy Birdnow

The Democrats are preparing to accuse the GOP of stealing the next election.

Juan Williams GOP Preparing the Ground to Steal the Next Election

This is the oldest trick. Having stolen the last election, they plan to do the same in the next one but need to prepare for the inevitable charge. When it comes they will say "nuh-uh...you guys are the ones who tried to steal  it" and if they win they will claim they should have had a blowout. If they lose they will justify whatever they have to do - riot, loot, etc.

And of course this helps gin up votes and brings in money.

Antarctica Even Colder

I'd like to hear how the Gang Green explains this away. Antarctica is pretty much trapped inside the Antarctic convergence and the circumpolar current is very deep and wide. New NASA Study: Earth has been trapping heat at an alarming new rate

This from Roy Spencer

I've been asked to give my opinion on a newly published climate study that has some rather alarmist reporting.

New NASA Study: Earth has been trapping heat at an alarming new rate

From the article:

The main problem I have is with the media reporting of these results. The animated graph in the Verge article shows a planetary energy imbalance of about 0.5 W/m2 in 2005 increasing to about 1.0 W/m2 in 2019.

First of all, the 0.5 to 1.0 W/m2 energy imbalance is much smaller than our knowledge of any of the natural energy flows in the climate system. It can be compared to the estimated natural energy flows of 235-245 W/m2 in and out of the climate system on an annual basis, approximately 1 part in 300.

Secondly, since we don’t have good global energy imbalance measurements before this period, there is no justification for the claim, "the magnitude of the increase is unprecedented.” To expect the natural energy flows in the climate system to stay stable to 1 part in 300 over thousands of years has no scientific basis, and is merely a statement of faith. We have no idea whether such changes have occurred in centuries past.

This is not to fault the CERES data. I think that NASA’s Bruce Wielicki and Norm Loeb have done a fantastic job with these satellite instruments and their detailed processing of those data.

What bothers me is the alarmist language attached to (1) such a tiny number, and (2) the likelihood that no one will bother to mention the authors attribute part of the change to a natural climate cycle, the PDO.

Tim adds:

So typical; the media ignores the natural element of this and declares what is actually a rather mild energy imbalance "unprecedented"

. You know, one of the things the media hated about Donald Trump was his tendency towards hyperbole, and yet they LOVE it where climate science is concerned.

How to Fix Schools? Just Don't Make Kids Learn Anything

This from Willis Eschenbach:

Well, I'm sure y'all will be overjoyed to know that Oregon has solved the crisis of teenagers not being able to graduate from high school because they can't read or do math.

So what was their secret? Did they improve the level of education? Spend more money on teachers? Beef up their teacher training? Improve school funding?

Nope. None of those. In keeping with the Oregon lunacy of not opposing endless "fiery but peaceful" riots in Portland, they've simply decreed that it's racist or sexist or speciesist or some kind of 'ist to ask the poor underprivileged kids to, you know, learn something in high school ... wouldn't want to hurt their feelings or diminish their precious self-esteem ...

... so the new Oregon plan is, just give everyone a high school diploma, and problem solved!

I weep for the death of Oregon ...

No Covid CO2 Slowdown

This from Roy Spencer

There is no (as in zero) evidence in the Mauna Loa CO2 record of the Covid-19 economic slowdown last year. These results are from my 1D CO2 budget model, which includes a number of natural climate variables (plus volcanoes) as yearly forcing terms. The Mauna Loa measurements are consistent with no 2020 reduction in CO2 emissions (the blue model curve assumes a 5.8% reduction in emissions, per EIA estimates).

Light Blogging Today Due to No Power

Timothy Birdnow

It was a tough night last night. We had a power outage in the afternoon and it was out until almost seven o'clock. It was hot but when power came back on we figured it was over.

No such luck; it went back down about 8 and stayed down until ten a.m. this morning.

Now, today is going to be the hottest day of the year; a hundred and two is the last prediction I heard. We needed to cool the house and keep it cool. I had also just gone to the store and filled the refrigerator and freezer with food.

Luckily, as a former Boy Scout I tend to be prepared; we have a number of battery-operated lights and so we weren't sitting in the dark. I have two of those Atomic Beam lights, which are great when your batteries are fresh, but they chew through batteries at a prodigious rate. (They use three AA which are just too small for the power requirement.) We have a couple of hand-held battery operated fans, too.

But it was HOT and sultry last night, and I went out on the porch for relief at four a.m. but found little.

I did have something to do though; I have a battery-operated DVD player and a 12 volt marine battery, so I was able to watch some movies in the heat and the dark.

It was bad because my wife is still largely bed-ridden and I know she had a miserable night.

I had suggested going to a hotel but she nixed that idea, because it was going to be hard for her to do. But we'll go today if the power goes back down. It's still pretty toasty in here after over an hour of power. I use window air conditioners which are inadequate on really hot days, and with them being off...

Fortunately  my refrigerator still seemed fairly cold. I don't think I'll drink the milk, though. Liable to be fermented into something dreadful.

At any rate, it looks like the worst is over.

Still No Answers for Babbitt

Willis Eschenbach asks:

Aaron Babbitt, the widower of Ashli Babbitt (murdered by Capitol Police on Jan. 6) still has no idea who killed his wife or why, 22 weeks after her death.

How can this be happening? This is third-world totalitarian secret police vileness, brought to you by 10% Joe Biden and every single Democrat who voted for him.

I find it totally unbelievable that in this country, "land of the free", the Democrats have set it up so that you can be shot to death by a government employee & no one will tell you who did it or why. How can that be?

Vote them out in 2022, root and branch.
