The Modern "Ideology and Terror"

Fay Voshell

I've been reading Hannah Arendt's "Ideology and Terror." Mind boggling. From the beginning: "[Whenever a totalitarian government] "rose to power, it developed entirely new political institutions and destroyed all social, legal and political traditions of the country...[It] started to operate according to a system of values so radically different from all others, that none of our traditional legal, moral, or common sense utilitarian categories could any longer come to terms with, or judge, or predict its course of action."

Written in 1953, and containing unbelievable insights into our current situation.

The Accidental Pandemic

From David Redfern:

The masks begin to slip!

"The Chinese biological laboratory in Wuhan is owned by Glaxosmithkline , which (accidentally) owns Pfizer!" (the one who makes the vaccine against the virus which was (accidentally) started at the Wuhan Biological Lab and which was (accidentally) funded by Dr. Fauci, who (accidentally) promotes the vaccine!

"GlaxoSmithKlin e is (accidentally) managed by the finance division of Black Rock, which (accidentally) manages the finances of the Open Foundation Company (Soros Foundation), which (accidentally) manages the French AXA!

"Soros (accidentally) owns the German company Winterthur, which (accidentally) built a Chinese laboratory in Wuhan and was bought by the German Allianz, which (coincidentally ) has Vanguard as a shareholder, who (coincidentally ) is a shareholder of Black Rock," which (coincidentally ) controls central banks and manages about a third of global investment capital.

"Black Rock" is also (coincidentally ) a major shareholder of MICROSOFT, owned by Bill Gates, who (coincidentally ) is a shareholder of Pfizer (which - remember? Sells a miracle vaccine) and (coincidentally ) is now the first sponsor of the 'WHO!

Now you understand how a dead bat sold in a wet market in China has infected the WHOLE PLANET! ""

Folks, for the Deep State this is not about protecting the people, preventing the spread or a cure for the virus, this is about greed, corruption, power and control for them....

Killer Covid Vaccine

Roy Spencer observes:

True story: Our healthy but elderly neighbor, who was trim, still driving, going up and down stairs, taking care of herself and her house, took the COVID-19 vaccine. Two days after the 2nd shot she had a stroke. Five days later she was dead.

Sweden Becomes a Trash Dump

Timothy Birdnow

Under the Greens, Sweden is turning into a garbage heap.

From the article:

A fire started at the dump in a southern Stockholm municipality on Dec. 23 and continued for months, covering an area about 10,000 square meters, that included 100,000 tons of debris.

At first it seemed impossible to put out the Botkyrka blaze, because of the potential risk from landslides when covering the fire with sand or water, according to the local fire brigade. After months heavy equipment was finally used to begin to control the conflagration.

The flames will probably erupt again in this flammable mixture with warmer and dryer weather.

You might assume this trash tragedy is a result of some evil corporation, seeking greedy profits.

It’s not.

Proponents of the New Green Deal and the Club of Romehave united to change Sweden’s future into a "circular economy.” Goals include limiting GDP growth, recycling/reusing, promoting small economies of trades-persons and independent contractors, as well as limiting population growth, so allegedly the earth’s resources won’t be depleted.

One focus is to eliminate employer/employee relationships and replace them with contracted workers, who work a few hours for each of many small operations. The plan also promotes using foreign workers by moving populations globally, wherever cheap labor is needed.

Until this year Sweden boasted a flagship energy/recycling program that extracted electricity from waste, solving the problems of disposal and power shortage simultaneously. When new politicians took power this year, they decided to reduce energy production, as well as its use.

To begin this shutdown the government instituted an energy tax in January on the waste conversion to energy industry. That levy was steep enough to curtail production (the goal), but so onerous that it quickly put the processors out of business. That’s why the trash and garbage mountains are climbing in Sweden, instead of being recycled.

Under their strange new economy, Swedes now get circular spirit tax deductions for screwing together furniture, leaving clothes at dry cleaning and installing solar cells, according to author Henrik Nilsson

At the same time, a fully functional nuclear reactor is being shut down. The justification is that it is no longer profitable. This is because the government has introduced an energy effect tax, which is fully in line with the Green Party’s philosophy of either taxing or closing down.

To be effective over time, the circular economy needs the Internet of Things, with constant connection where all material flows and are followed in real time throughout the life cycle.

According to the philosophy, this should lead to a world without waste, since clothing, furniture, lighting, appliances and means of transport are not owned, but rented, which is giving producers incentives to make products more sustainable.

This would end most private property, and the big question becomes: who will own what we rent?

Under the circular system the source of goods must be either the government or an arm of the state. Since the goal is to minimize use of resources, that means rationing either by need or to satisfy Green New Deal objectives.

The Circular Economy goals are originally from Barbara Ward’s book Spaceship Earth (1966), where this planet is described as a closed system – a spaceship – with limited resources.

"Spaceship Earth – The Life Support System” is also the title of a chapter in the Rockefeller Brothers Fund’s 1977 publication "The Unfinished Agenda", a book advertised by the Club of Rome. This fund currently promotes more cordial relations with China, and advocates BDS activities against Israel, supporting "J Street” and its efforts to almost solely promote Arab interests in Mideast negotiations.

This was the inevitable outcome of this economics of scarcity and control. We saw this kind of thing in the old Soviet days, with piles of trash and filthy air, a result of a society too stifled to clean itself up. It shouldn't surprise us.

What is surprising is so many are hell-bent on this future of poverty and despair.

Earth is not a closed system. We have enormous resources, and can invent/develop new ones. We also have an entire solar system chock full of wealth, waiting for us to come and get it. There is more metal in one medium sized nickel Iron asteroid than has been mined over the whole Earth in the last five years! Not long ago there was a twenty mile diameter nickel iron asteroid that would, if we were to mine it, wreck the world economy by collapsing the metals market. We are rich, rich, rich in our own backyard, yet these people want to make us poor, and limited.

So much of this thinking comes from the 60's and '70's, too, and much of what inspired it has been overcome or proven wrong, but we keep chasing these bad solutions. These people are still thinking along the lines of the Club of Rome's "Limits to Growth" and "The Population Bomb" none of which made a single accurate prediction.

We don't need any barbarians to destroy our world; we are the barbarians.

Things Go Fascist with Coke

Chester McAteer

Coca-Cola has no room to talk about racism or voting, for that matter. In the 1930s, Coca-Cola built it's overseas empire in full support of Adolf Hitler and his NAZI regime.

Even after the NAZIs invaded Austria, Hitler was greeted with Coca-Cola Banners with the words "Sieg-Heil!, to commemorate our deepest admiration and gratitude for our Führer who has led our nation into a brilliant higher sphere.”

Several other American Companies also supported the Füher:

Metro-Goldwyn-M ayer
Chase Manhattan Bank
Dow Chemical
Brown Brothers Harriman
Woolworth
Alcoa
General Motors
International Business Machines.

John Madric adds:

Because, just like now, they're able to recognize and get behind whatever movement they think will be successful. As a company, they kind of have that responsibility to their shareholders. They don't believe in this woke nonsense any more than they did in Hitler. But it was and is the better bet..

Tim adds:

And don't forget they do international business - a lot of international business - and this pleases certain foreign customers (like the Chinese). The Chinese supported the current junta in power, and they backed BLM to sow chaos and wreck the budding MAGA movement. Coke wants to ingratiate themselves with China. Also, with the Europeans who have always thought themselves America's betters on racial matters .

MLB Idiots new choice for the All Star Game speaks volumes

So let me get this straight, The MLB is so woke that they took the All Star game from one of the largest minority communities in America and gave it to a rich white community in a less diverse state? A state that has #VoterID laws? Got it! #cancelculture

END..QUOTE

Yes, this is perfect for Woke Liberals. Denounce racism from a largely white state with few black employees or fans at the ball park while they think they are helping minorities (to be unemployed in Atlanta).

Masking the Truth

Selwyn Duke

https://thenewamerican.com/masking-truth-the-democrats-covid-science-denialism/

While I’ve never met a Neanderthal, I suspect that our current society probably isn’t one that should be impugning their thinking. For example, whatever Neanderthals’ faults, they surely knew the difference between boys and girls and didn’t entertain fancies such as "Our strength lies in our diversity." This comes to mind with the controversy over mask-wearing and Joe Biden’s recent claim that easing apparently unnecessary COVID-19 restrictions is "Neanderthal thinking.”

Citizens of the World

Timothy Birdnow

Timothy Birdnow

From Sen. Tom Cotton:

Let’s take a stand against the ill-informed and woke CEOs who think voter ID laws are racist but lobby against bills punishing Communist China for committing genocide.

The problem with most corporations are they see themselves as "citizens of the world" and not American. They have a fraternity of big money which they seek where the big markets are located. Things like voter i.d. laws are bad to them because they a.hurt Democrats, who offer the corporations protection and give them taxpayer money and b.places like China don't want a hard liner like Trump ever to be elected again and that hurts the corporate pocketbook.

I argued this point about George W. Bush years ago, that he had no problem with illegal immigration because he was essentially an internationalist and couldn't see what the fuss was about. OF COURSE we should bring in cheap labor from outside the country! Why wouldn't we? Bush made lots of money from profitable foreign parntnerships and he never understood that the average American saw his country being taken away and saw himself losing money and jobs.

This is how these big corporations view things - and why they will fight something like voter I.D. while support the Chicoms or other enemies of America who offer profit to them.

Imagine If He Was A White Trump Supporter - Democrats And Media Only Interested If It Fits Their Narrative.

James Doogue

I don't think I've ever seen a big story die so quickly. A man drives through a security checkpoint set up to stop insurrection. Manages to kill one officer and badly injure another. But because he's a black follower of the 'Nation of Islam', 25 year old Noah Green and his motives are soon forgot. After all, we were told to fear white supremacists Trump supporters, not black nationalist Islamic anti-Semites.

This attacker has been forgotten, but the Democrats and the media are still spinning this as an attack on democracy to support their outrageous claims of 'insurrection' on 6 January 2021.

The following lengthy piece demonstrates how the brief illegal occupation of the Capitol building, which caused far less damage than the average BLM demonstration in the US, was deliberately overstated by democrats and the media. Particularly with regards the claimed violence and attempt at insurrection, and the continuously claimed death toll of the riot.

The Capitol area of Washington DC has been in security lock-down since a few hundred pro-Trump supporters along with a bunch of anarchists out for a day of rioting, broke into the Capitol building, occupied the Assembly, did some damage, and then left peacefully.

I make the point that they left peacefully of their own volition. There was no forced removal. Try to find any evidence of that? It didn't happen.

This proves the claim it was an attempted insurrection is a complete fallacy. Yet that is the story which those who control the narrative, the Democrats in power, and their big tech and media mates are sticking with.

It's on that basis, and at the cost of billions of dollars, they installed thousands of National Guard troops and razor wire fencing and security check points around the Capitol.

It was claims that there was intelligence of other planned attacks by pro-Trump, white nationalists, anti-government, which supported the continuing high security.

It was most likely simply a political ploy to continue besmirching Trump throughout the impeachment process and beyond the inauguration, effectively taking the attention away from President Biden's disastrous handling of the US border policy.

Leader of the House, Democrat Nancy Pelosi, is responsible for the Capitol security. Days before the so-called insurrection the FBI, and then President Trump's Administration, offered additional security in the lead up to and during the inauguration. But she declined the offer.

Now, she's justifying the Capitol lockdown and thousands of troops to stop anyone illegally entering the Capitol, but they couldn't care less about illegal entries at the border.

The so-called insurrection continues to be referred to, including the claim that five died during the insurrection.

Yes the continuous claim is that 5 people died, but that claim is a deception. The facts are, one unarmed woman involved in the riot was shot by an unidentified officer in the Capitol building whose life was not under threat.

One police officer died more than a day after the riot and his death has not been linked to the riot.

Three pro-Trump supporters died of natural causes while participating as part of hundreds of thousands of peaceful demonstrators who were never inside the Capitol building.

In the video linked below, taken by Antifa/Black Lives Matter agitator John Sullivan, who was part of the group who forced their way into the Capitol building, we can see the shooting.

On the left of screen you see the hand holding and aiming the gun from a doorway beyond the protesters. You see the gun fired and you see Ashli Babbitt drop immediately. She later died in hospital.

To watch the video, which has never been shown without censor on mainstream media, you'll need to sign in to your YouTube account as it's restricted to mature audiences.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mgnh5jvmuZw&feature=youtu.be&bpctr=1617645210

The shooter has never been publicly identified or charged. A spokesperson for the Capitol police claims the officer has been placed on leave, but no charges will be filed. Capitol police investigators claim the officer "used clear appropriate use of force."

If this had been the shooting death of an unarmed black person there would have been riots around the country.

Also oddly, just seconds before the shooting we can see in this video, there were plenty of armed police and security personnel next to and behind the so-called insurrectors who had no guns.

The armed police made no attempt to stop the rioters who were breaking a window in the door. One gunshot fired into the ceiling would probably have been enough to get their attention.

Instead, remarkably, they simply left the rioters seconds before Babbitt was killed. Why did those police in sufficient numbers, make no attempt to stop the unarmed rioters?

Watch the video. I guarantee you haven't seen this on mainstream media. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=AZ9oThRuMVs&bpctr=1617645952

The Capitol was crawling with hundreds protesters and full of hundreds of armed law enforcement and nobody else got shot. The protesters fought the officers with improvised weapons and nobody else got shot. The protesters breached the House chamber and Congressional offices and nobody else got shot. Why did unarmed Ashli Babbitt get shot jumping through the broken window of a door, when cops weren’t even concerned that protesters where attempting to break through?

Babbitt was a decorated security forces controller in the Air Force and served multiple Middle East tours from 2004 to 2016. You'd think she would have recognised a situation where she thought she might get shot.

What of the police officer who House Speaker Nancy Pelosi called a martyr to the cause of democracy?

Police officer, 42 year old Brian Sicknick was involved in the riots and was sprayed in the face by a type of spray used to deter bears. But he died of a stroke and blood clot.

After the riots he texted his brother saying he was feeling fine. But he Collapsed about 10pm that night and died about 24 hours later.

The media first reported he was the police officer seen in a video who was hit on the head by a fire extinguisher. In fact that officer, who had a helmet on, was uninjured. The media and senior Democrat politicians are still implying he died as a result of injuries sustained in the attack.

On March 14, Khater, of State College, Pennsylvania, and Tanios, of Morgantown, West Virginia, were arrested and charged with nine federal counts associated with the riot, including assaulting Sicknick and two other officers (one Capitol Police officer and one Metropolitan Police officer) with a deadly weapon. The two men were also charged with civil disorder, obstructing a congressional proceeding, and conspiring to injure an officer.A federal magistrate Khater and Tanios were not charged with manslaughter or murder.

All of that information with citations from reliable sources, is available on Wikipedia.

The other three people said to have died in the Capitol riots were never inside the Capitol building and died of 'medical emergencies'.

- Rosanne Boyland, a 34-year-old Trump supporter from Georgia died after collapsing in the crowd attempting to gain entry to the Capitol building. Attempts were made to resuscitate her, but failed. She was visibly obese, and with pepper spray in the air and a crowd crush, she may have had trouble breathing.

- Greeson, 55, went to the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama, according to a ProPublica report. More than ten years later, the Alabama resident and Democrat had become a Trump supporter. He died of a heart attack outside of the Capitol.

- Phillips, 50, is said to have died of a stroke, according to The Philadelphia Inquirer. "It seems like the first day of the rest of our lives, to be honest,” he said in the report, on the drive to D.C. "They should name this year Zero because something will happen.”

When you know the facts about the deaths, only one was directly attributable to violence, and that was in the part of a Capitol police officer against the unarmed Ashli Babbitt, while dozens of armed police and security personal turned their backs.

Police officer Brian Sicknick death was likely a terrible coincidence and from natural causes.

The fact that three Trump supporters died in a crowd which some reports put at one million, is not surprising at all. Even completely peaceful events attracting so many people will mean some fatalities.

Many years ago I was a volunteer with St John Ambulance, qualified to administer emergency first aid. I regularly attended SAFL matches in the days when they attracted 20,000 spectators at times. People collapsed and died, or later died at hospital on a regular basis. But the media never ran stories about 'deadly' games blaming the deaths on one of the league sides.

Will the Democrats and media ever get over their Trump derangement syndrome?

Demented Biden or Cackling Harris

From James Doogue in Oz:

He can't even read his tele-prompt. You can see his brain not computing what's on the screen he's straining to read. But he's not sharp enough to ad lib. Probably because he's not even thinking about what he's reading.

If Trump had done this, the mainstream media in Australia would have lead with it in their news bulletin questioning his competency. But this type of gaffe, which happens regularly, isn't even being reported in the IS by the MSM. That's because he's their candidate.

This is the leader of Western nations. The mainstream media anf social media hid Joe Biden's incompetence during the election campaign. Whoever is pulling the strings knows this guy will either stay in office as a complete puppet, or be replaced by the VP Kamala Harris.

Harris wasn't even popular with blacks. Obama gained 96% of the Black vote. In the polling during the Democrat presidential primaries, Kamala Harris polled behind Biden and Sanders among black Democrats, only just ahead of Elizabeth Warren. Yet the people controlling Biden chose Harris for Biden's running mate.

If she has a reputation for anything, it's being willing to do or say whatever it takes to get promoted or elected.
Harris lies a lot and it's not hard to tell.

Kamala Harris has a habit of launching into peals of laughter when she is asked questions, even serious ones. It’s likely a nervous tic, and it’s possible that she doesn’t even realize that she does it.

In this short video clip she reveals both her willingness to say anything to get where she wants, and her cackling as she evades the question. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=0iMYlJqsDcg

In the world of gambling, this is called a tell. An unconscious and often uncontrollable behavior that serves as a clue to others that a player is bluffing or lying. In real life, it's done to cover nervousness, and people are nervous either because they don't know the answer, or their answer is a lie.

She will make the ideal titular President. Being female and dark skinned gives her enough intersectionality points the media will never hold her to account. She say and do whatever those pulling the strings want her to.

This has serious implications for Australia. Do you think the leaders of China, Russia, North Korea, Iran will take a demented Biden or cackling Harris seriously?

Moreau Unleashed

Timothy Birdnow

The mad rush for Covid vaccines makes me wonder at the real reasons for this huge push. Given the fact that the disease is hardly unique in its mortality, I suspect there is more to this business than meets the eye.

Here is an article in which Dr. Tal Zaks, a bigwig at Moderna, warns that they are "hacking the stuff of life" with this.

From the article:

Dr. Tal Zaks, the chief medical officer at Moderna Inc., explained in a 2017 TED talk how the company’s mRNA vaccine was designed to work.

Over the last 30 years, he said,

"we’ve been living this phenomenal digital scientific revolution, and I’m here today to tell you, that we are actually hacking the software of life, and that it’s changing the way we think about prevention and treatment of disease.”

He went on to explain [see video below] that the human body is made up of organs and organs are made up of cells.

In every cell there’s this thing called messenger RNA or mRNA for short, that transmits the critical information from the DNA in our genes to the protein, which is really the stuff we’re all made out of.

This is the critical information that determines what the cell will do. So we think about it as an operating system.

So if you could change that, if you could introduce a line of code, or change a line of code, it turns out, that has profound implications for everything, from the flu to cancer.

They want to reprogram our genes. This is the very same dream as the eugemicists of the last century, only now they have amazing new tools to play God with.

Here is another article worth pondering from the same site.

Schwab stated just a few weeks ago that he believes "nobody will be safe” unless "everybody is vaccinated.”

It does not matter if a "vaccine” is experimental and still undergoing clinical trials, which is the case for all Wuhan virus vaccines currently being distributed. If the government says you should get it, then you have to get it, Schwab contends.

The other signatories have essentially declared that they believe the same thing. All injections, no matter their purpose or the risks involved, must be taken by all humanity in order for everyone to feel "safe” against scary germs from China or elsewhere.

While this site is unfamiliar to me and has a whiff of conspiracism about it, I do know that we are playing a dangerous game, and that this virus is being used as a tool to fundamentally remake society.

We tag animals to study their population; I rather suspect that is what is about to happen to the "human animal"  with this Covid vaccine business; they are going to tag us all and follow our movements. We know they are giving out vaccine cards now to prove you have had the shot; and Bill Gates wants a permanent implanted chip that can be scanned (aka the Mark of the Beast). And we know these people are eager to experiment with the human genome in their hubris and also most of them are Malthusians who want to reduce the world's population. I suspect that these articles are on the right track here.

At least as far as the Davos crowd are concerned. I suspect the politicians are doing what they do, going along to get along. This is what happens when you "follow the science" and put the people who are promoting a radical scientific agenda in charge.

Remember; scientists do not swear the Hippocratic Oath. They have a mild code of ethics maybe, but when has that stopped them from trying to play God? After creating the atomic bomb Robert Oppenheimer went on to express angst "I have become Shiva, destroyer of worlds". It didn't stop him from inventing the damned thing though. And this experimenting with the fundamentals of our DNA is in many ways more dangerous than nuclear weapons, which can only kill you. These monsters can enslave us all, or turn us into some sorts of Frankenstonian abominations.

Anyone remember The Island of Doctor Moreau?

What the Georgia Voter Law Says

This from Willis Eschenbach:

Given all of the hype about the new Georgia voter laws, I thought that unlike the virtue signalers decrying them sight unseen, I should, you know, actually find out what they say. Radical idea, I know, but I'm a radical guy, so here you go:

• Voters will now have less time to request absentee ballots.
• There are strict new ID requirements for absentee ballots.
• It’s now illegal for election officials to mail out absentee ballot applications to all voters.
• There will be fewer "drop boxes" for fraudsters to tamper with
• Mobile voting centers (think an R.V. where you can vote) are for use only in emergencies. Here's the text:

===
"The superintendent of a county or the governing authority of a municipality shall have discretion to procure and provide portable or movable polling facilities of adequate size for any precinct; provided, however, that buses and other readily movable facilities shall only be used in emergencies declared by the Governor … to supplement the capacity of the polling place where the emergency circumstance occurred."
===
• Early voting is expanded in some counties.
• Offering ANYTHING to voters waiting in line might influence their vote, and now risks misdemeanor charges. See below.
• If you go to the wrong polling place, it will be harder to vote.
• If election problems arise, a procedure for extending voting hours is clarified and tightened.
• With a mix of changes to vote-counting, high-turnout elections will probably mean a long wait for results.
• Election officials can no longer accept third-party funding. Thank goodness for this one, it was open and legal corruption.
• With an eye toward voter fraud, the state Attorney General will manage an election hotline.
• The Legislature has more control over the State Election Board.
• The Secretary of State is removed as a voting member of the State Election Board.
• The Legislature is empowered to suspend county election officials.
• Runoff elections will happen faster.

Call me crazy, but I'm not seeing what all the furor is about. The biggest screams are about the new rules saying you can't pass out pizza, gatorade, or beer to people standing in line, which makes sense to me. It could easily be an attempt to influence voters ... "Oh, Party X gave us jello shots ..." Here's the actual text of that section, so you can see the intention:

===
"No person shall solicit votes in any manner or by any means or method, nor shall any person distribute or display any campaign material, nor shall any person give, offer to give, or participate in the giving of any money or gifts, including, but not limited to, food and drink, to an elector, nor shall any person solicit signatures for any petition, nor shall any person, other than election officials discharging their duties, establish or set up any tables or booths on any day in which ballots are being cast: (1) Within 150 feet of the outer edge of any building within which a polling place is established; (2) Within any polling place; or (3) Within 25 feet of any voter standing in line to vote at any polling place. These restrictions shall not apply to conduct occurring in private offices or areas which cannot be seen or heard by such electors."
===

And this is supposed to be "UNAMERICAN" and "VOTER SUPPRESSION"?? This is why people are calling for a Georgia boycott (which will only hurt the citizens, not the politicians)? This is why Major League Baseball decided to get woke and go broke by moving the All-Star game out of Atlanta? Atlanta hasn't had a Republican mayor for ONE-HUNDRED AND TWENTY FOUR YEARS, and MLB wants to punish them because you can't give pizza to people in voting lines in an attempt to influence their votes?

Get real. These are all commonsense requirements in response to the total debacle that was Georgia Election 2020.

Gotta say it ... what happened to the country I grew up in? The wokerati and the race hustlers are killing America.

Tim adds:
I said before this last election the Democrats were going to build a voting machine nationwide that would be undefeatable, much like they did in California and in Illinois. Going after reforms to maintain voter integrity is one of the key components. They are going to eventually push laws that make it even easier to steal votes. This is part of their master plan to achieve hegemony. Of course the media is leading the charge. They have to so demonize any efforts at reform that nobody will dare try it. That's why Major League Baseball is trying to hurt the state; to panic the legislature. This is vile and despicable and we should all do what we can to reward the Georgia lawmakers. BTW if there was nothing wrong with the last election because the Sec State was a Republican why did his own party take his power away from him? You know full well the legislature has information we don't.

An Experiment in Fear

Timothy Birdnow

The British government is fending off accusations it purposely promoted fear of Covid to gin up public support for lockdowns and other strict measures.

According to this article:

One of the key pieces of evidence cited by those who have complained about "covert" tactics comes from a document prepared for the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (Sage) at the beginning of the pandemic a year ago.

Dated March 22, the paper written by the Scientific Pandemic Influenza Group on Behaviours (SPI-B) stated: "A substantial number of people still do not feel sufficiently personally threatened; it could be that they are reassured by the low death rate in their demographic group, although levels of concern may be rising ... the perceived level of personal threat needs to be increased among those who are complacent, using hard-hitting emotional messaging. To be effective this must also empower people by making clear the actions they can take to reduce the threat."

The same document presented a grid of 14 options for increasing compliance which included "use media to increase sense of personal threat", a tactic which was seen as having a "high" effectiveness though spill-over effects "could be negative".

Some Sage participants now admit to feeling "embarrassed" by such advice.

One regular Sage attendee said: "The British people have been subjected to an unevaluated psychological experiment without being told that is what's happening.

"All of this is about trying to steer behaviour in the direction an elite has decided, rather than deciding if it is the right thing or the ethical thing to do."

Michael Crichton was right; governments use fear as a tool to keep the public in line and move them where they want them to go. In his book State of Fear he theorized how it works:

First academia hatches up some hairbrained scheme with dire implications. Then the media picks it up and runs with it, trumpeting it as doomsday and frightening the public, who demand something be done. Then the politicians get into the act, proposing "solutions" for what was a non-problem created by the academics. In the end they get what they wanted, which was a new law further circumscribing the behavior of people and forcing society to move in a direction it was unwilling to take.

This Covid business is exactly that, proof Crichton's theory was right.

The article continues:

They added: "When someone from SPI-B is saying we need to ramp up the fear and keep it ramped up - there wasn't much questioning of that at the beginning and most of the questioning came from external sources, not from within."

Gary Sidley, a retired NHS consultant clinical psychologist, said: "It's as if there is a little industry around pandemic management and it excludes alternative voices.

"There is growing concern within my field about using fear and shame as a driver of behaviour change."

Mr Sidley was so concerned that he and 46 colleagues wrote to the British Psychological Society (BPS) raising "concerns about the activities of government-employed psychologists ... in their mission to gain the public's mass compliance with the ongoing coronavirus restrictions".

The letter added: "Our view is that the use of covert psychological strategies - that operate below the level of people's awareness - to 'nudge' citizens to conform to a contentious and unprecedented public health policy raises profound ethical questions."

In short, this was a psy-op on a whole nation.

The Historicity of Easter

This one from the archives:

Mark Musser

Contrary to popular opinion, even among many Christians today, the Bible emphasizes faith in history, not mysticism. The Bible is thus very different than all other religions, not only because it teaches salvation by grace rather than by works, but also because of its strong historical emphasis from cover to cover upon the historical facts of what we call "the faith." That so many atheists and agnostics in the West, particular in Germany in the 1700's and 1800's, spent an inordinate amount of time attacking the historicity of the Christian faith, is thus no accident. They well understood if one removes the historical foundations of the faith, biblical Christianity falls like a house of cards. This also explains why so many have left the faith in the West over the last few centuries, presuming the scientific and philosophical assaults against the Bible were factually based on science - yet only to indulge in their own speculative and hollow dreams and mysticisms that are so popular today, even in Christian circles - many of which have since been profaned and secularized into the destructive madness of progressivist politics that is anything but. Just look at the mess we are in today - sheer madness all around.

Yet, what is so often forgotten is that the history of the Bible reveals the personal reality of God's factual revelation of His own holiness and grace that is divinely designed to appropriate by faith today. As the biblical past is already fact, and as such biblical facts even go so far to predict the prophetic future that one will day will also become historical fact at the proper time, our own history today is thus surrounded on both sides of our personal lives like book ends that tells us where we have come from and where we are going as we walk a straight line in between those times.

It is thus no surprise that 1 John 1:1-4 opens up by emphasizing the historicity of the revelation of Christ to combat the mystical false teaching which had denied that God became historical flesh. Such mysticism was undermining the Ephesian and/or Asian churches (modern Turkey today) of John's day so that he writes," What was from the beginning, what we have heard, what we have seen with our eyes, what we beheld and our hands handled, concerning the Word of Life--and the life was manifested, and we have seen and bear witness and proclaim to you the eternal life, which was with the Father and was manifested to us--what we have seen and heard we proclaim to you also, that you also may have fellowship with us; and indeed our fellowship is with the Father, and with His Son Jesus Christ. And these things we write, so that our joy may be made complete." In other words, faith in the biblical facts of history can grant fellowship and joy. Do you believe this? This is one of the great spiritual tests of the Christian faith that is rooted in the reality and historicity of the resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Luke himself likewise intimated, "Inasmuch as many have undertaken to compile an account of the things accomplished among us, just as those who from the beginning were eyewitnesses and servants of the word have handed them down to us, it seemed fitting for me as well, having investigated everything carefully from the beginning, to write it out for you in consecutive order, most excellent Theophilus; so that you might know the exact truth about the things you have been taught (Luke 1:1-4)." Luke, of course, ends his gospel with the historicity of the resurrection of Christ (Luke 24). In the gospel of John, doubting Thomas also received an empirical history lesson from the Lord Himself, "Reach here your finger, and see My hands; and reach here your hand, and put it into My side; and be not unbelieving, but believing (John 19:27)." Happy Easter to everyone!!

Death Where is Thy Sting?

The Gospel According to John:

Early on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went to the tomb while it was still dark and saw that the stone had been taken away from the tomb. 2 So she came running to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we do not know where they have put Him.”

3 So Peter came out with the other disciple and they went toward the tomb. 4 They both ran together, and the other disciple outran Peter and came to the tomb first. 5 Stooping down and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying. Yet he did not enter. 6 Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went inside the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying there, 7 and the cloth that was around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but wrapped in a place by itself. 8 Then the other disciple, who came first to the tomb, went in also. He saw and believed. 9 For as yet they did not know the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead. 10 Then the disciples went away again to their own homes.
The Appearance of Jesus to Mary Magdalene

11 But Mary stood outside at the tomb weeping. As she wept, she stooped down and looked into the tomb, 12 and she saw two angels in white sitting where the body of Jesus had lain, one at the head and one at the feet.

13 They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?”

She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have put Him.” 14 When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, but she did not know that it was Jesus.

15 Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you seeking?”

Supposing Him to be the gardener, she said to Him, "Sir, if You have carried Him away, tell me where You have put Him, and I will take Him away.”

16 Jesus said to her, "Mary.”

She turned and said to Him, "Rabboni!” (which means Teacher).

17 Jesus said to her, "Stop holding on to Me, for I have not yet ascended to My Father. But go to My brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.’ ”

18 Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord and that He had said these things to her.
The Appearance of Jesus to His Disciples

19 On the evening of that first day of the week, the doors being locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in their midst, and said to them, "Peace be with you.” 20 When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. The disciples were then glad when they saw the Lord.

21 So Jesus said to them again, "Peace be with you. As My Father has sent Me, even so I send you.” 22 When He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit. 23 If you forgive the sins of anyone, they are forgiven them. If you retain the sins of anyone, they are retained.”
Jesus and Thomas

24 But Thomas, one of the twelve, called The Twin, was not with them when Jesus came. 25 So the other disciples told him, "We have seen the Lord!”

But he said to them, "Unless I see the nail prints in His hands, and put my finger in the nail prints, and put my hand in His side, I will not believe.”

26 After eight days His disciples were again inside with the doors shut, and Thomas was with them. Jesus came and stood among them, and said, "Peace be with you.” 27 Then He said to Thomas, "Put your finger here, and look at My hands. Put your hand here and place it in My side. Do not be faithless, but believing.”

28 Thomas answered Him, "My Lord and my God!”

29 Jesus said to him, "Thomas, because you have seen Me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have yet believed.”

Vote Fraud Then and Now

Timothy Birdnow

Here is a stroll down memory lane from an old City Journal article about past voter fraud.

It is important to understand the Democrats always think about stealing elections.

And they were desperate to get Trump out, impeaching him twice. I don't think there is any question but that they tried to steal this. Did they succeed or was it unnecessary is another question. I think they stole it. But that isn't what everyone on that side of the aisle was claiming; they were saying there was NO fraud, none at all. Which means they knew full well they stole it.

Northern Hemisphere Snow Up

Timothy Birdnow

Well, well, well...It appears the snow mass in the Northern Hemisphere is slightly above normal.

As Chester McAteer observes:

The Eddy Minimum is upon us as our toasty Holocene Interglacial slides back into the Quaternary Glaciation.

Tim adds:

To put it another way, we are starting to backslide into the ice age from which our current era had mercifully been emerging.
