The latest example is two Harvard doctors’ call for racial discrimination in the provision of medical services as part of what they label, as the title of an article they penned puts it, "An Antiracist Agenda for Medicine.†They also want federal reparations for black Americans.

Anyone who understands the Russian mind knows that Russia gets very defensive when threatened from up close like that. That would be a provocation, and any idiot in the State Department should understand that simple fact. You don't do this. You especially don't do this to a country with nuclear weapons superior to our aging arsenal. (The Russians rebuilt completely in 2003, while we have slowly replaced our most aged stuff.) Russia sees the Black Sea as it's private lake. Imagine if they sent a war fleet into the Gulf of Mexico. It makes them very angry. They consider Ukraine as part of their sphere of influence and will defend that militarily. If Biden intends to saber rattle he should understand that the Russians have a bunch of kossacks with some very sharp swords and way too much vodka.

No matter if the topic ranges from how best to boil turnips to workout tips, the same shrieking, pathological self-hatred, loathing of one’s culture and nation, and trembling inquisitor-like finger-pointing will be elicited. What do normal liberals say—you know, among themselves when no one is listening—about these morose death-cultists having metastasized within their ranks?

It's interesting to note that the most "Progressive" part of the country - the northeast - was home to the Puritans and other extremely rigid religious seccts. They are no longer religious areas, and I suspect the same deeply judgemental religious fervor is now serving a new god, the Leftist Humanism that took over in these areas. So it makes perfect sense that finger pointing and raging against sinfulness like dancing or having an occasional beer has now turned to hatred of country and of neighbor. It's the same old anger and resentment but with new targets and a new twist. Actually, I suspect the Puritans and others were nowhere near as bad as they were constrained by Biblical admonitions while the Puritans sans Jesus are constrained only by their personal limits, which appear to be few.

The Church has accepted the secular state’s version of what is wrong with the world; namely, that humanity is irretrievably infected with a disease, the variants of which will be with us forever. As a result, the Church has enacted all the secular penitentiary rules and regulations designed to exorcize or at least keep at bay the disease that now defines man’s universal condition.
Meanwhile, the old doctrine of original sin and the means of grace by which the Church has dealt with the soul and its struggle with sin have either been radically changed, done away with altogether or have disappeared into the cybersphere, where community is illusory.
The Church has, by and large, forsaken the field of reality, trading real community and real worship for illusion. It is now becoming the equivalent of a hologram, with its army as effectual as computer generated soldiers fighting against computer generated orcs. Yes, the gospel message can go forth on the internet. But the danger is that church leaders become cyber influencers rather than pastors caring for real sheep.
Further, the Church does not interface with the heavenlies or the reality of angels and the community of the saints by embracing cyberspace while deserting real worship in a real physical space. Cyberspace is not a bridge to Heaven.
The Church must return to earth and to real community, fighting the world, the flesh and the Devil on the ground rather than in the cyber sphere, which does not participate in the heavenly realities as it is presently controlled by those completely hostile to the church and is a devilish substitute for the biblical, heavenly realities.
Churches must reject the secularist rituals and doctrines being forced on it and return to orthodox worship, otherwise its effectiveness will continue to be diminished and the sheep will continue to starve.

And the Church has become mired in the worldly concerns while forgetting the real purpose of this Earth and our time here (making peace with God and spending eternity with Him.) Increasingly the Church has become an instrument of social policy and empty charitable works. So they seek to feed the body while allowing the soul to starve.

The goal of the New Left.
Left-liberals don’t just dislike American culture, people, institutions, and mores. They dislike our Constitution. Fonte points to a surveyfinding that 79 percent of Americans who describe themselves as "very liberal†(which comprised 40 percent of all liberals) and 70 percent of the just plain liberals favored replacing our Constitution.
Ceding sovereignty to international bodies is a way to negate the Constitution.
Fonte notes that political thinkers from Plato and Aristotle to Montesquieu and the American Founders have explained that an emotional attachment to one’s political community is necessary for its survival. But that presents no problem to those on the left who don’t want our political community to survive.
And that’s the sentiment of a great many American leftists. We can infer this from the same survey mentioned above. It found that 41 percent of very liberals and 33 percent of plain liberals would like to see our country renamed.
Ditch our nation’s Constitution and its name, and in a very real sense, you have ended America.
The internationalism of left-liberals is therefore a means to an end — the end of America. Fonte concludes:

So he plugged the demographics of both cruise ships — the Grand Princess off California and the Diamond Princess out of Japan — into the Imperial model assumptions.
"We should have had 155 people lose their lives on the cruise ships to COVID-19, and we lost 10," Betrus said. "And so I knew it was off the rails."
He adds that on the basis of that apparently flawed model, "40 million people were suddenly unemployed."
He agrees that coronavirus is serious and shouldn’t be taken lightly, but people tend to make it worse than it is by concentrating on the wrong numbers — COVID cases and COVID deaths.
Both numbers aren’t necessarily accurate or real-time indicators.
He suggests instead concentrating on the number of hospitalizations — something always current and accurate.
"We’re at about 3% COVID patients who are occupying beds nationally," Betrus observed. "Why are we locked down? We locked down to prevent hospital overflow, and they are empty."
He said his research indicated that, other than "a four-to-six-week period when every community got hit," the majority of states have not had hospital overflow issues due to COVID during the pandemic and few communities got pummeled with the virus more than once.
The author goes on to discuss school closures and how it's killing kids through suicide - and how private schools that were open and had no mask mandates were doing just fine.I fear he misses the point; this was not and has never been about public health. It started as a tool to bring down President Trump and is a mechanism to fundamentally transform the world, to impose the so-called "Great Reset" which will give the Imperium to a faceless, unelected gaggle of corporatists and technocrats.
I was discussing this with David Redfern. He is of the opinion that once the great technocracy is established these power-mad types will begin to fight among themselves and everything will collapse. I agree. In fact, it is much like the fall of the Roman Empire, where a cadre of power-hungry elites fought for every scrap of authority the old corrupt Rome could provide. In the process they were more concnerned with seizing power than protecting the Empire they wished to control. Rome fell as a result, but these people remained, having so feathered their own nests that they were able to survive the fall. This was the genesis of feudalism, and the result was centuries of bitter fighting between feudal lords over the dead bones of the old Roman Empire. It gave us the Dark Ages, which lasted for several centuries. It also gave us serfdom, which started at the end of the Empire with edicts forcing people to stay in their homes (much like Covid has been doing for us.)
And of course Europe, torn by strife between these tinhorn potentates, was kicked around by every barbarian imaginable, be they Viking, Hun, Mongol, or Muslim (Moor, Turk, etc.) It was only when these people lost their power that Europe began to emerge from the smoke of Medievalism. The Medici in Florence were bankers, after all, and not the traditional nobility. The original kings of France were replaced by the decendents of their BUTLER, one of whomm - Charles Martel - went out to fight and beat the Moors when they invaded, while the kings fiddled. The corrupt Roman ruling class had to be completely removed before the Dark Ages fully ended.
That is what we are facing now. We are about to go into another Dark Age, only this time with atomic weapons and CRISPR technology to make plagues more terrible than the worst of the Black Death.
We may not survive this Dark Age.
And at the heart of all of this is this Covid business. It's a revolution in yellow snot.

The conclusion is that black parents usually emphasize "respect" meaning don't talk back while white parents encourage kids to explore their environment. Well, if you are taught to not make trouble for your parents but not to explore, what will that accomplish? You're going to be uninterested in learning but very interested in having the power to make people respect you. That translates into rebellion and acting out.
And THAT translates to poor grades and a lousy education, or worse, a maleducation where the student thinks he knows so many things that just aren't so. (I had an argument with a black person who insisted the Republican Party tried to steal Kansas in 1856 to make it a slave state!)
So, we have a fundamental difference in parenting, we have a far greater tendency to be from broken homes, we have environmental factors (like living in poorer areas with lead-based paint and poor nutrition), we have a culture that de-emphasizes education in all respects and glorifies anti-social behavior (listen to a rap song if you doubt that), and so it should come as no surprise that black kids score poorly in math, which is one of the most discipline-intense subjects they will encounter. There isn't wiggle room in math; you can't bs it.
Of course that means it's just racist and we should stop worrying about it, I suppose. Why do black kids need math when they can play football or set horrible poetry to a beat?

Manipulated data (kind of important in fact checking) is a scientific discipline unto itself. There is no question that the surface temperature data has been manipulated (the process is called homogenization and is not applied in a standard fashion). The NOAA weather station data is easily accessible online and the data manipulation is readily visible. An extreme example would be the Darwin airport in Australia. The measured temperatures have trended down since 1880 and the "homogenized†temperatures are trending up. Convenient for the CAGW alarmist crowd. There are justifiable reasons for homogenizing (time of day difference, station location (urban versus rural) and relocation, etc.). The most accurate and extensive weather station distribution in the world is in the United States. To evaluate temperatures without the Urban Heat Island Effect (UHIE), NOAA established a network of 137 high quality weather stations in completely rural "stable†settings. The temperature data can be viewed on NOAA’s website at their Climate Reference Network page.
Interestingly, the February 2021 Temperature Anomaly (-2.40 ºC) is the
lowest "ever†recorded in the USCRN data. That is also a drop of (5.77
ºC) since the 2017 February Temperature Anomaly high (3.37 ºC). If I
left these statements as is, I could be accused of cherry picking the
data (per the CAGW alarmist technique (i.e.: can anyone remember a
"HOTTEST YEAR ever recorded†lately). The earth has been significantly
warmer (for most of the earth’s history) than the Modern Temperature
Record (MTR, 1850 to the present) and significantly colder. The USCRN
was only initiated in January 2005. As a result, the data is somewhat
limited. But on a qualitative basis, the lowest Temperature Anomaly
"ever†and a Temperature Anomaly drop of 5.77 ºC over the last 4 years
is not good for the CAGW alarmist narrative. After all, we live in an
era where CO2 is virtually the only climate driver (at least according
to the IPCC computer programmers and their virtual reality, OPS-22 –
Computer Models – Real Simple). In the real world, CO2 has been
increasing steadily but the temperature has fluctuated significantly.

In the era of feminist activism, 'believe all women' and gender quotas, professor Janice Flamengo presents an interesting monologue.
Flamengo looks at 'damselling'. A term describing women who claim to be feminists, or who demand equality, who then 'damsell', because they are 'fragile' females, to evoke empathy and chivalry.
If a man acted in the same way they would be considered weak, and unworthy of a position of responsibility or authority.
When women were fighting for equal rights, including the right to vote, they were told by leading female commentators they could retain the special 'protected' status of females, or they could have equality. They couldn't have both. But Flamengo says in general, women appear to have achieved both.
As usual Flamengo includes historical and contemporary references.
Women said that a right to vote would end all wars because war is a male generated result. There has been no indication that prediction came true. There are women and there are women. Think Maggie Thatcher and Jacinda Ardern. Just like there's Donald Trump and Justin Trudeau.
It would be interesting to see how chivalry has changed over the years. Flamengo reminds us that when the Titanic sank in April 1912 women's protected status saved many of their lives.
A total of 74% of the women survived as opposed to just 20% of the men. Men gave up seats in life boats to women because the shame of breaching the rules of chilvalry would have been greater than their life was worth.
I'm not sure, but I suspect 'damselling' only works in politics for attractive females. Or perhaps doesn't work for those with the wrong political stripes.
I don't think it helped conservative Defence Minister Linda Reynolds when she teared up in parliament recently. Or Liberal MP Nicolle Flint who has been savagely harrassed by right wing activists with little empathy coming from the media or the left.
There's no doubt though that claims of bullying, harrassment, life and family choices, and emotional distress from women in public life evoke much more sympathy than it does for men. That fact protects women from the same rigorous scrutiny and treatment that men receive in public life.
I know shrinking violets Hillary Clinton and Julia Gillard were keen to claim victim status. But whatever they experienced in public life was nothing compared to conservative male political leaders such as Donald Trump and Tony Abbott.
In general, I think the conclusion that women have achieved both equality and retained their protected status is accurate.

I've been saying that for years. Women want to be in the thick of things, at the heads of corporations and running government agencies and the like, but then hide behind the "little girl" status when it suits them. (Well, some do, not all.) You aren't supposed to be able to have your cake and eat it too. But that's exactly what we see in the world today. And I think deep down many women realize this, which makes them feel they haven't achieved equality - because they haven't. Someone is only equal when they are treated the same as everybody else.
Oh, and Rush Limbaugh had a bit about making an elite military squad of women "the All American First Cavalry Amazon Battalion". As he understood women are in many ways more vicious and cutthroat then men.

I have no strong opinions on Derek Chauvin's guilt or innocence in the death of George Floyd, but the latest testimony in the trial is very revealing. If you are willing to move beyond the widely-viewed video which suggested Chauvin's knee was on Floyd's neck (turns out even witnesses for the prosecution now admit it wasn't), read this legal analysis of the latest testimonies. Sounds to me like Chauvin will be found not guilty. It doesn't really matter, though, because -- either way -- I suspect Chauvin is a dead man walking. And the riots will commence in 3... 2...

The person driving this is Minnesota Attorney General Keith "There is no God but Allah and Muhammad is his prophet" Ellison, so I suspect the GOAL is to have rioting. Ellison is a radical leftwing extremist. He intervened to get the charges upped against Chauvin, knowing full well that they could not make it stick.
This is a lose/lose situation. If Chauvin is found guilty a travesty of justice will have occurred. If he is acquitted there will be rioting. Either way is a loser from the perspective of civil society. Ellison knew that when he pushed for overcharging.
