Force the Dems to Vote on Gun Rights

Dana Mathewson

Kurt Schlichter's Monday column's a real doozy!

I really wish Mitch McConnell would read this one. It's got some thing Kurt wants McConnell (and Ryan) to do. To the Democrats. For example:

But let’s make it even harder on the other side. They want to talk about guns? Let’s talk about guns.

Democrats, particularly ones from America, say they believe in the right to keep and bear arms? Great, let’s let them prove it. How about Paul Ryan get someone to introduce a bill called "The Right to Defend American Families and Freedom Act” that says, "In addition to the individual right to keep and bear arms cited the Second Amendment, this Act separately provides that all law-abiding, healthy adults have an individual right to keep and bear effective firearms for lawful activities including sporting activities and to defend themselves, their families, their communities and their Constitution.” And it should provide for attorney’s fees award and litigation priority for any American citizen forced to sue to secure his rights.

Let’s see the Democrats sweat when called on to vote on that one. See, we need to give them hard, painful choices designed to either allow us to enact laws to protect the rights of us Normals, or to put the fake-Blue Dog Dems in the agonizing stress position of having to vote against such popular laws – which our candidates will promptly jam down their throats in November.

Yeah, I know. Never happen. But a guy can dream, can't he?

He has a few choice remarks to make about the Kiddie Gun Control control crowd too. You'll love 'em.

A word from Tim:

David Horowitz has turned blue in the face advising the GOP to do this for decades now. They simply won't listen/

Timothy Birdnow

Michael Mann, Svengarlic of Climate Change, is in contempt of court in his lawsuit against Dr. Timothy Ball.

About that 97% Climate Concensus

Helen Dyer forwards this:

It is important to note that the widely quoted "97% of scientists” who are claimed to support anthropogenic global warming actually consists of 79 scientists hand-picked by University of Illinois master’s student, Kendall Zimmerman and her advisor, Peter Doran, from a pool of 3,146 who returned surveys. Seventy-nine divided by 3,146 = .0251. This is not science, it is the anti-intellectual instigation of fear for pay. ("Examining the Scientific Consensus on Climate Change,” published in Earth & Space Science News, 20 January 2009.) Question #2 was Do you think human activity is a significant contributing factor in changing mean global temperatures?”
Note that "significant contributing factor” is very different from CAUSING climate change, previously called "global warming.”

He is Risen!

The Gospel according to Luke:

Jesus Has Risen

24 On the first day of the week, very early in the morning, the women took the spices they had prepared and went to the tomb. 2 They found the stone rolled away from the tomb, 3 but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. 4 While they were wondering about this, suddenly two men in clothes that gleamed like lightning stood beside them. 5 In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead? 6 He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7 ‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’ ” 8 Then they remembered his words.H

Snowstorms and an angry Hogg

Timothy Birdnow

Writing at Conservative HQ Jeffrey Rendall gives us a great birds-eye view of the March for our lies in Washington and has some very pointed thoughts on the issue.

Here's a quick taste:

"If it weren’t for Nikolas Cruz, Hogg would still be a smart-mouthed nobody senior in South Florida who’s living off his parents’ hard work and awaiting his opportunity to go to college and fill his brain with a lot more anti-liberty nonsense. Instead Hogg ends up the de facto general of this melting snowflake legion by virtue of his willingness to spout outrageous accusations about Marco Rubio and anyone else who disagrees with him."

Jerry Brown Pardons Bad Criminals to Keep them from being Deported

Timothy Birdnow

This is what the Democrats have come to; Jerry Brown pardons aliens facing deportation because of serious crimes, such as kidnapping, drug pushing, spousal abuse, etc. simply to keep them in the country.

The Demmocrats do not care about America's citizenry, only about aliens. They have gone insane.

Oh, and they are the supposed champions of women's rights and yet Brown pardoned a guy who beat the hell out of his wife. Funny; I thought it was the hillbilly Republicans who supposedly were believers in wife beating. Where is the #Metoo crowd over this one?

Perhaps we need a special prosecutor to look into Jerry Borwn....

Ice Cream Company Mocks Christ

Jack Kemp forwards this:

Sweet Jesus, founded in 2015, has 19 locations in Canada, an outlet in Baltimore and plans to open at Minnesota’s Mall of America this summer. But analysts say Sweet Jesus may have to tamp down its tactics as it takes on a market dominated by household brands like Baskin-Robbins, Dairy Queen and Ben & Jerry’s Ice Cream.

Christians wage war against Sweet Jesus

Christians wage war against Sweet Jesus

Some religious consumers are mad as hell at a private, Toronto-based soft-serve ice cream chain known as Sweet Jesus, whose campaign to expand in the US market and globally is now in meltdown mode amid calls for a boycott.

The company’s marketing and branding includes an inverted cross, instead of the "t” in Sweet, and the "s” replaced with the symbol of a lightning bolt, which some observers say is the "satanic ‘S’ ” used by Hitler’s henchmen. A company advertisement of a nativity scene replaces the baby Jesus with an ice cream cone. The company has also promoted bottled "holy” water, and made fun of a rosary.

The holy war has company execs defending their marketing tactics, denying they mock Christians and their faith.

"Unfortunately, they just don’t understand the brand,” Jeff Young, chief development officer of Sweet Jesus parent Monarch & Misfits, told The Post.

But US critics from New York to San Francisco disagree, as online petitions and protests have multiplied, soliciting thousands of signatures. Sweet Jesus is also fending off furious phone calls as it publicly insists it won’t back down.

End excerpt.

Easter’s blue moon is a message from the heavens

Dana Mathewson

I think you'll all appreciate this more than rants about guns from me.

From the article:

"We are able to see five planets with the naked eye: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn. And Saturday night – just hours before Easter sunrise services – we are being treated to a blue moon. That’s the name given to the second full moon in a month, something that happens roughly every 2.7 years

Moreover, this Easter’s blue moon is extra special, because it is the second one this year. The next time two blue moons occur in one year will be 2037."

He’s allowed to run for office because Vermont laws do not specify a minimum age to run for governor.

Climate chaos claims continue causing consternation

Paul Driessen

Lawsuits by Oakland, San Francisco, New York and other cities clearly threaten America’s and the world’s freedom of speech and access to abundant, reliable, affordable energy. However, the Oakland complaint’s litany of claims and charges reads like it was written by a Monty Python comedy team and a couple of first year law students. It is so full of errors, omissions and absurd allegations that it’s hard to believe it’s actually being heard in a court of law.

To cite just one example, the defendant oil companies may produce oil and natural gas, but they don’t burn much. It isthe plaintiffs and their employees and constituents who generated (and benefited from) the carbon dioxide that they now blame for causing "unprecedented” global warming, melting ice caps and rising seas.
