I rarely discuss true crime stories; there are plenty in this weary old world and jawboning them to death solves nothing but makes people feel miserable. But this story is unique insofar as what it leaves unsaid is quite pertinent.

Apparently a 41 year old mother tried to kill her ten year old son while they were in the shower. She hacked at him with a butcher knife, described as a "machete". The father intervened and was wounded for his troubles. Both father and son are in the hospital, expected to recover.

Naturally this was in California - Sacramento to be exact.
The woman's name is Anna Veres.

What is left unsaid is what was this woman doing in teh shower with her ten year old son to begin with; that isn't normal. The article doesn't say if she was just in the bathroom while the boy was in the shower or if they were both in the shower together, but either way it's an odd situation to me. Why would she attack the kid while he's showering? It would have been a lot easier to get him while he was dry.

Also there is no mention of any psychiatric evaluation. Something clearly isn't right with this crazy woman; either she's on drugs or she suffers some sort of psychiatric disorder.

At any rate our society is growing increasingly insane and we just double down on the things leading to this insanity.

God is the measure of what is real. We kicked God out of America some time ago. Any questions?
