New York Governor Kathy Hochul has a complette meltdown,comparing the Trump Administration's rescinding of approval for "congestion pricing" tolls on New York City roads to King George and the Democrats to the Patriots and George Washington.
Hockum Hochul ranted:
But this congestion pricing was not put up for a vote by referendum; it was imposed by a baron in Albany, and by the New York City Traffic Congestion Mitigation Commission, an unelected group appointed to find ways to screw the public. (BTW we're not talking about a buck or two but tolls of $9, small trucks $14.40, large trucks $21.60, motorcycles $4.50, taxis $0.75, and Uber and Lyft drivers $1.50.
This for accessing streets already paid for by taxpayer dollars.
And the claim is this has reduced congestion by 9%,but how much of that is just lost business to New York? Of course they will blame it on Eric Adams and Donald Trump.
Hochul vows to keep the cameras on and keep collecting the ill-gotten gains.
So if she does the state of New York should lose all their highway funding from the Federal government. There can and should be consequences.
Hochul needs to go sooner rather than later.
This woman hasn't the foggiest idea of what the Patriots actually fought for - it was the taxation by the crown done without any say by the colonists, just as New York is taxing people now with no say. SHE is the King's aid here, the Queen, not the other way around as she is painting herself.
I suppose she believes the patriots rebelled because they wanted higher taxes and more regulations then?

Because, who are we fighting for here? We're fighting for our residents, our commuters, our riders, our drivers, our emergency personnel."
