Adverse Reactions

Timothy Birdnow

Contributor Selwyn Duke has a fine piece at Canada Free Press about side effects from the Covid vaccine. Do read it all; Selwyn is always great.

From the article:

Along with many other commentators, I’ve reported on side effects associated with the coronavirus vaccines. Of particular concern are heart problems and, specifically, myocarditis, which is inflammation of the heart muscle.

Now, you’ll hear different stories about how common these issues are. Government officials and the medical establishment will claim they’re rare, while others say differently (and that the feds’ Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System, or VAERS, is undercounting vaccine-coincident deaths). But when your anecdotal experience starts to align, suspiciously, with the warnings of danger, it’s eyebrow-raising.

1 I'm 78 years old, and got the shots in March. Since then I have not had any heart issues (to the best of my knowledge), but I HAVE had other things go haywire. My blood sugar is down (I'm a type 2 diabetic and test in the morning); my normal range is in the 120s or 130s, and lately I've been down as low as 85. Not a bad thing, but suspicious, to say the least. I developed a pinched nerve that caused all sorts of hip, thigh and leg pain plus walking difficulties (again, that may have been from sitting at the computer for 8 hours a day), and I'm just now coming out from under that after a lot of chiropractic treatment and PT.

Does any of this relate to the shot? Probably not, but I'm not putting any money on it.

2 Glad you aren't having any adverse reactions Dana although that blood sugar thing does sound a bit suspicious.

I may get the shot myself (as I am very high risk) but I'm certainly concerned about the heart business as I have all sorts of heart problems (as you know) and another problem might well kill me.

It's a tough choice.

3 Well, my advice to you would be that, since you already have heart problems, and the vaccines seem to have a negative record where that's concerned, DON'T get the shot. Have you talked to your doctor about all of this, though (and is your doctor well-versed in the vaccines)? You might be able to get a letter stating that you are not a good candidate for the vaccines (or some such wording). Martha's getting one from our doctor.

I got my shots because I needed them in order to play in the big band I'm in (and just got home from playing a dance with). I COULD have lied about my vaccine status, but that's not my style.

Bottom line: have a serious chat with your doctor(s), then make up your own mind.

4 My GP is, of course, pushing it Dana. My other doctors - including the cardiologist - have basically been ambivalent and support whatever decision I make. Nobody dares go on record saying the vaccine is a bad idea, of course. But none of them seem too concerned about me NOT getting it.

5 The bad thing is I have to go to Nashville in the not too distant future to attend a wedding and will be in close contact with a bunch of people from all over. Kind of worrisome.

6 Yeah, that's a problem. You've got -- whatthey call 'em, co-morbidities. And we all know by this time that masks don't do what people think they do.

Good luck, old buddy, Let us know when you're approaching the danger zone, OK?

7 Will do Dana. I'm probably going for the shot tomorrow or Wednesday. The wedding is in two weeks.
