There was a movie back in the nineties starring Michael Keaton called "Johnny Dangerously". It was a spoof about mobsters in the Zucker fashion (like Airplane or The Naked Gun). There was one mobster who was the enemy in the movie and he had a thick accent that was indeterminate and nobody could understand him. They did the spinning newspaper thing to update the audience and one headline was "Maroni deported to Sweden: says he's not even from there". That's what this makes me think of.

People are crying because Abrego Garcia's not being sent to Costa Rica, which is a much nicer place. They are ignoring the fact that he turned down the offer to go there, for whatever reason.

Right you are Dana. I'd much rather be deported to Costa Rica than any African country but most especially places like Liberia.
