A Turn of the Page; Strzok Mistress Testifies before Congress

Timothy Birdnow

Libby lovestruck Lisa Page - F.B.I. agent and the mistress of cheating married man Peter Strzok - finally showed up for a closed-door session to answer questions from Congress. (I can't help but think of the Three Stooges where Shemp had to get married and the minister kept saying "hold hands, you love birds" after which another woman - eager for Shemp's newfound wealth - would bash him over the head with some blunt object.) Page simply blew off a previous summons to appear before Congress with no repercussions from Paul "Pee Wee" Ryan and company (if I failed to show up for so much as a parking ticket there would be a warrant for my arrest, but it's different when you are plotting to tamper with a national election, I guess.) At any rate, the Right Scoop gives us some details of that meeting.

From the article:
Rep. Ratcliffe says Lisa PAGE answered many questions Strzok didn’t and that lawmakers learned a lot of new information. He declined to provide any other details.

And…

Rep. Gaetz says the questions Lisa Page answered — but Strzok would not — heighten his concern about whether the FBI was driving toward a "desired outcome” in its Russia probe.

He said FBI counsel was still there and at times intervened to prevent her from answering.

Also…

Rep. MEADOWS says Page was able to answer more than Strzok because the FBI counsel was less intrusive and seemed more permissive.

Republicans seem far more pleased with her testimony than Strzok’s. Meadows/Gaetz/Ratcliffe all say they learned good new info.

End excerpt.

Page was carefully managed by her FBI lawyers, who allowed her to speak more than they did Strzok but still kept a tight rein on her. What is the value of a closed door session if the witness is being managed by her superiors? It's about as honest as the indictment of Russians by Mueller/Rosenstein (who know there will never be any testimony in court by the accused.)

I'm frankly tired of this. When Page failed to show she should not have been given another chance, but rather should have been indicted for Contempt of Congress at that point. The DOJ has been stonewalling this investigation for months, and if Congress wants to be taken seriously they have to actually take firm action. Somebody needs to be prosecuted for Contempt (the only prosecutorial authority held by Congress.) Ryan's and McConnell's unwillingness to use this power has made them door mats.

Why, it's almost as if they don't WANT to get to the bottom of this stuff.

She should have been grilled unmercifully, and her testimony compared to Strzok's. As it is, it sounds like she was allowed to say what she chose instead of what Congress wanted. In short, it was a whitewash, it seems to me.

The politicization of the DOJ and the national security apparatus presents a clear and present danger to the Republic. They have changed their mission from protecting the American People to attempting to control the public, to choose our course for us. That is more dangerous than any "Russian collusion" or minor election tampering. And Barack Obama, community organizer extraordinaire and leftist revolutionary, sits like a spider atop this whole dirty pile of soiled undergarments. He politicized these agencies and is still the master of them, using them to attempt to destroy the current Administration.

This is not America. This is more befitting a Warsaw Pact government at its worst.
