"Customer hereby grants to Flock a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free, irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide license to (a) use and disclose Customer Data to provide the Flock Services; and (b) use Customer Data to support and improve Flock’s products and services,” Flock states in its August 2026 terms and conditions. The terms explain that the county keeps ownership of its data.
So this is backdoor spying by both government and a private corporation. Not cool.
I would call this unreasonable search and seizure. It's fine if a cop on patrol spots a suspicious car but to have surveillance cameras watching everyone and selling their information is a clear Fourth Amendment violation.

These same flock cameras are coming to all new car buyers very soon. They will be a safety feature to keep intoxicated and impaired drivers from driving. They will also shut down vehicles were drivers give the appearance of being tired. Of course they will also be spying on driving habits but hey safety.
