While I think something has to be done about bad judges, I fear a bill that allows them to be punished by political authorities. You KNOW the Democrats will use this against every and any Republican-appointed judge solely for their own political ends.

New Bill Could Punish Lenient Judges Following Brutal Killing of Iryna Zarutska

Better to have a retnetion vote every so often and maybe kick these judges out of office.

While that may require a constitutional amendment, it may not too as inferior courts are all  established by Congress and are not mentioned in the Constitution. Only SCOTUS  is constitutionally guaranteed lifetime tenure.
