This is a terrible deal and we have to hope Trump understand that.

Why is it a sixty day agreement? Because that would end at the end of July, meaning if Trump had to resume attacks (and he will) he'll be constrained by the looming elections.

All this will do is buy Iran time to rearm and reorganize. NOW is the time for the U.S. to double down on military action, not in eight weeks. Iran will only be stronger if we wait.

This is the Iranian strategy; delay and foot drag and rely on the American media to sour the public even further on this war. Let it approach the midterms. With luck the Republicans will lose the midterms and the Democrats will invoke the War Powers Act as well as defund the whole operation. The Iranians know this - they aren't stupid.

Iran wanted to transfer their nuclear material to either Russia or China, something Trump refuses with good cause. Might I suggest they transfer it to India? I doubt India would give it back to them or let them cheat with it as would Russia or China. But then the Pakistanis would be very upset about that.

Trump has been listening to our allies in the Gulf who do not want us to obliterate Iran. That is a mistake; they are interested in protecting themselves (rightly so) but we hve the larger picture we must consider.

I hope Trump doesn't cut a bad deal.
