Wise words from a friend

"While we are all celebrating the exoneration of Kyle Rittenhouse, I fear it was at best a tepid victory.

The Left won a victory just prosecuting this kid. They sent a message that you had better not oppose their Brownshirts or they will come to destroy you. Rittenhouse will have a hard time having any kind of life after this. Even though they lost in court, he had to spend massive amounts of money, and will have to move away and change his name. His career prospects are dim. They succeeded in destroying the kid even if he didn't go to prison.

We need to go after this prosecutor, dig through his records, investigate him, dig for the kind of dirt that these people have been digging for in our own trash cans. We have to start firing back at these people or this will continue and even get worse. There must be personal consequences for abusing the law for political gain.

When Sarah Palin was nominated by John McCain to be his running mate the Democrats sent 30 lawyers to her tiny hometown of Wasila, Alaska, to dig up dirt on her. This type of political lawfare has only gotten worse over the years.

And Communist Billionaire George Soros had his "Prosecuting Attnorneys Project" in which he financed radicals to run for office. He's been quite successfull, too, seizing power over D.A. slots in St. Louis, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and a host of other places.

Why was he doing this? Because he understood the power of a D.A. and how important control of the criminal justice system can be.

Well, while I do not know for sure that this prosecutor was a Soros man, he clearly had a political ax to grind and he ground it into the tender skull of a 17 year old kid.

If there is to be a check on the power of these types of people it must come from the public. Since it appears money can buy just about anything, and the public doesn't really ponder elected positions like D.A., we are left to using the Left's own smarmy tactics. If they want to investigate people and drag them before courts we will have to do likewise.

Remember what they did to Donald Trump and all of Trump's people. Why did they go after guys like Roger Stone? Because they wanted to cut off Trump's hands, and to do that they had to take out his lawyers and supporters. Make it too dangerous to dare work for a guy who has been declared taboo. Ruin anybody who does that.

The Rittenhouse case served the same purpose. They wanted to send America a message that made it plain they were coming for you if you dared buck them. You had better let riots burn through the streets! You had better not dare put out fires or defend yourself with a gun! If you do what normal people would do and defend yourself, or be at some sort of protest, you will pay dearly.

The most terrifying thing to these people are the American citizenry taking action. That must be prevented at all costs.

So this creepy weasle of a prosecutor drops everything he can on this kid hoping to ruin him.

And while Kyle won't go to prison he's racked up a huge legal debt and is facing a grim future.

He joins people like Officer Darren Wilson, the cop who shot Mike Brown in Ferguson, or George "the White Hispanic" Zimmerman who shot the thug Trayvon "If I had a son he'd look like Trayvon" Martin. Cast out. Persona non-grata. Shunned. A non-person. A leper.

In this way can they enforce compliance with their will. It's the same tool as political correctness.

Sadly that's where this poor kid is today. And where we'll all be if we don't stop this.

We can only stop this by fighting fire with fire. Otherwise they will simply cancel us too.

We have to start doing the cancelling.

We used to be able to agree to disagree, but the radical Left has made that impossible. They only compromise when they are getting half of what they want while we are just surrendering it. This has been going on for a long time. They have sytematically whittled away America until it is now hardly recognizable. This country does not even remotely resemble the America of just twenty years ago.

The long war against normalcy and decency is reaching it's final stage - the mop up. We have got to stop being the spill on the floor and instead need to become the zamboni.”

A liberal friend of his took umbrage.

Linda Allen says:

Two quick thoughts: 1. I do think we somehow have to allow protests etc, but can we figure out a way to keep guns out of it so this doesn't happen again. Granted, Kyle Rittenhouse's life will not be the same, but he has to take responsibility for that -- no one made him bring the gun. (BTW, did you see there is a Congressman who wants to have him as a Congressional Page?) and 2. If we dig for dirt on proseutor, aren't we perpetuating the same kind of treatment? Someone has to stop the cycle. and 3. I feel sorry for the families of those who were killed. Their family dynamic is certainly changed forerver as well. Whether we call them victims or not, they are still gone! Ooops, that was 3!

Murray replies: True that their families may suffer lose. However one of those people held a knife to his mothers throat and told his bother while holding a hunting knife he would gut him like a pig if he didn’t do what he said. The other seriously molested 5 children of his various partners who were as young as 5 years old. Sadly one might say the world is better off with out them.

Protesting should always be legal, but it can’t be violent.

These situations can be avoided in the future if police were actually allowed to arrest the violent trouble makers.

The prosecutor needs to be investigated so the general public can see the full picture at the next election.

Unbeknownst to Linda I was the original author. I retort:

Linda Allen I disagree with you on all counts. First, this was not a protest but a RIOT. Please use the proper terminology. And it was not the guns fault. Mr. Rittenhosue would be dead were it not for his possession of that firearm. And Rittenhouse had every right to be on the streets. The rioters were violating his civil rights, not the other way around. You want to "keep guns out of this so it doesn't happen again". So it's o.k. to brandish a chain (as one of his attackers did) or try to stomp the kid's head? Second, you think he's responsible? That putting out fires and rendering medical aid makes him at fault? If you believe that I fear for America. There was a time when a kid who behaved in so civic-minded a fashion would have been praised. Now you think he's the bad guy. I hope he IS made a page. And set up for the rest of his life. But I'll bet it won't happen and if it does I'll bet he'll have a lot of trouble in D.C. You feel sorry for the families. Perhaps so, but whose fault was that? Don't you think the attackers bear the responsibility?
I would add all three were criminals. And what is this "stop the cycle"? How do you stop a cycle when the other guy is the aggressor? The aggressor sets the rules of engagement, in war and in strife. Do you stop locking your home to stop the cycle of break-ins? I suppose we should have simply taken our lumps when the terrorists attacked the World Trade Center, so as to "stop the cycle of violence"? It won't stop just because you wish it would. And an asymmetric war is still a war. They have been waging this on us for a long time. It's STILL an asymmetric war because people such as yourself don't recognize the aggression by the Left.

Murray adds:

I know it’s hard when you are unfamiliar with guns. They do scare some people. But it’s important to remember that your inspired constitution recognised the importance for citizens to be able to defend themselves both personally and from a tyrannical government.

I actually hope that this incident might be a wake up call for those who want to riot and commit violence that society will not sit back and let it happen.

For that to occur honest people need to have guns to use in protection of both property and their lives.

Just remember a good person with a gun is what keeps society safe 😀
Linda Allen responds:

Timothy BirdnowI don't sense a great deal of willingness to give and take in your comments. That's what compromise is and, in my opinion, that's how we have to approach this. No one is going to get everything they want as long as there are 2 different opinions. The "Left" is not all wrong, and the "Right" is not all correct. Do you think we should continue having these kinds of protests or riots or whatever word you want to use to describe them? If not, what is your suggestion for changing this pattern?

You're right, Murray, the constitution is inspired, and it does indeed provide for citizens to have guns. I just don't know how you limit them to the "good" or "honest".

I retort:

Linda Allen if there is not a lot of give and take in my comments it is because I have a carefully considered opinion based on facts and am presenting them. I do not compromise on facts. If you find that somehow overbearing your complaint is with reality and not with myself. Or do we now compromise on core moral and factual precepts, like whether murder is wrong? Do we now say "well, in a mostly peacefuly protest if there is a murder then that's in a good cause." That seems to be what you are asking me to do.

I would add normal Americans have been compromising and compromising and have nearly been compromised to death. There is no longer any place left to compromise to. We have our backs against the wall.

And no, there are no good ideas in modern liberalism; it is a bankrupted ideology of failed Utopian dreams. This has all been tried in the past and it has failed. Only now we are going to destroy the America we knew, the place that drew people from all over the planet, the shining city on the hill. You don't compromise with that. Compromise with the Devil is simply evil. Or do you think we should have cut a deal with Hitler?

We don't compromise with rioters and looters. If you believe that you are an anarchist.

As to my suggestions about these riots, first the police should not be told to stand down. How about starting there? We need to prosecute rioters and looters. The "liberals" are quite happy to throw the book at anyone who was even remotely near the Capitol on Jan. 6, and yet they think people looting stores, burning stuff, and trying to kill a 17 year old kid is the price of liberty. Strange.

And that the three were felons is somehow a resume' enhancement.

Enforce the law, and go after those funding these violent demonstrations.
Where do you think these people got their money? Somebody provided transportation, room and board, to them. Shoot; we even know who it is by and large. But the FBI won't deal with them because these are "approved" riots by people who are helping to promote the radical agenda.

Linda Allen you say "I just don't know how you limit them to the "good" or "honest". ' Well, keep them out of the hands of felons for one thing. At least one of the rioters shot by Mr. Rittenhouse was a felon and he pointed a gun at the kid. I would add that some of the nations with the strictest gun control laws have some of the worst gun violence. Brazil comes to mind. That is no accident; the good people turned in their firearms.

Oh, and Linda, you seem quite reticent about calling a thing by it's right name. That is, according to Confucious, the cause of societal decay. He stated that a nation may not be renewed until you first true the language. Calling these "protests" is a horrible, purposeful misnomer. They are riots. And most of the rest of your argument stems from bad epistemiology from the misuse of language.

1 Murray sounds like his head is screwed on straight -- as opposed to Linda, who is a typical liberal, looking at the world as if it were comprised of fauns and unicorns. You did a great job as usual.

2 Murray is a sharp guy. In fact he was posting up what I had written at first, which is what spurred this.

Linda on the other hand thinks we all need to be Barney the Dinosaur.
