It's bizarre.

If a 14-year-old girl is unhappy with her breasts and wants breast enhancement, adults say "No way! Wait until you're 21!"

But if a 14-year-old girl is unhappy with her breasts and wants them cut off, "adults" say "Sure, honey, that's a really good plan, you must be trans, hop up on the operating table ..."

The people running things in this world are dangerously unbalanced.

This reminds me of footbinding in ancient China. Eventually it was outlawed as cruelty to minors.
