Green Car'd
Timothy Birdnow
Go woke go broke we like to say. But it's true, and not just over DEI; "renewable" technology turns a large fortune into a small one very quickly.
those toy cars are expensive and impractical and were only made because governments subsidized them and used CAFE standards to make them appealing to car companies. (The way that works is car companies have to meet CAFE fuel standards and can't if they want to make vehicles they can sell, so they make things like EV's which count towards their CAFE standards and bring down the MPG of their cars overall.)
So Hoda, the venerable old Japanese giant, ran with EV's and now finds itself losing money.
"Green tech" is the fast track to poverty.

Dam Bombers
Timothy Birdnow
So was this the Iranians, the Chinese, or local Leftists who want to sow chaos in America?
Mrs B
@attackdogX
Yesterday, Divers doing a routine maintenance check at the Converse Reservoir Dam in Mobile, AL discovered an underwater grenade type IED.
The FBI bomb squad had to be called in to safely detonate it.
The Reservoir and Dam are critical infrastructure, and this is being called "an unprecedented threat"
The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has been made aware of the situation.
The Left is in the process of a sea change in tactics. Where once we had a cold war with them now it is becoming a hot war, with attempts on Trump's life as well as the murder of Charlie Kirk and other lesser-knowns attempts on opponents of the radicals. The next logical step for them would be to start blowing up dams and water treatment plants and power stations, Hospitals, police and fire stations, etc.
I truly believe the hot civil war is just about at hand.
So why was this thing not exploded? The perpetrators probably were mining multiple targets and hoped to detonate all of them at once to shock the American People.
AS I say, it could well be the Iranians or the Chicoms even, or the Russians (less likely to me but you never know). Of course we are in tis pickle because Mr. Biden let lots of Iranians into the country through his open borders policy. But if it's not them it's the Antifa people, the radical Left.

Cuba Rejects U.S. Aid
Timothy Birdnow
So the Communistas of Cuba are
rejection a hundred million bucks from the U.S. in humanitarian aid just because they don't want to be seen knuckling under to President Trump.
What was the catch? The assistance would go directly to the Cuban People, being distributed by the Catholic Church - the government would have no control over it.
So typically Communist.
Mexico’s TV Azteca reported in March that humanitarian aid they sent to Cuba was taken by the Cuban government and sold in government stores for American dollars; it never reached the people it was intended to help. But that's what Communists do; people are expendable, the state is the beneficiary.
I know what is happening to Cuba is harsh, but it is better to suffer the pains of a surgery than die a slow, horrible death from cancer. Communism is the cancer killing Cuba.

What's in a Word? Are Race Car Drivers "Athletes"?
Timothy Birdnow
Well, they AREN'T!
An athlete is doing something that can get them out of breath; it is aerobic by it's very nature, in my humble opinion. Race car drivers, jockeys, bowlers, pool players, golfers, curlers are not athletes. They are very skillful but I wouldn't call them athletes.
If they are athletes so too are video gamers, ping-pong players, tiddly winkers, cornholers, horseshoers, suffle-boarders, and any other game player. We don't call them athletes by and large so why do we call race car drivers athletes?
May as well call high school mathletes "athletes" because they could get tired from using a compass or a slide rule.
In fact those chicks who run around with ribbons or competitive cheerleaders are more athletes than race car drivers.
This may not be an earth-shattering issue but it is a sign of our times; an unwillingness to call a thing by it's true name. Confucious said that to restore a nation you must "first true the language". We have degraded our language for a long time in this fashion, and while this may be a harmless issue in this case other things are not so harmless - like "marriage equality" for homosexual unions or "abortion rights" for murdering unborn babies or "gender affirming care" for cutting of a little boy's penis or a chopping the breasts off a girl.
George Carlin once did a bit about the misuse of euphemisms. As he pointed out, we will soon be calling rape victims "involuntary sperm recepticles".
Using language to obfuscate becomes a habit and until we improve the precision of our language it will be ripe for weaponization and abuse.
So while this might be a minor thing it speaks to a culture that essentially lies to itself.
Jeff Gordon's reply to Stephen A Smith was:
"But at the same time, clearly he doesn’t know a whole lot about the sport, and he doesn’t know what it takes to be an athlete in motorsports. There’s no doubt about the mental fatigue it takes to be in the car for hours, the competitiveness and things that make drivers true athletes,” the NASCAR legend added. "It’s just in a different sense of how a stick-and-ball sport is perceived as an athlete.”
But mental fatigue is NOT athletics; you get mental fatigue playing chess. And you can be competitive while playing any game; if a lot of money was involved in Chutes and Ladders you would find "athletes" in the "sport" who stressed about it. Professional poker players certainly do; do we call them athletes?
Kyle Larson had this to say:
"I just accept that they won’t understand, because they will never be able to strap into a race car that goes 200 miles an hour. If they did, I don’t think they would be able to make it a lap without feeling like they’re going to die."
Again, nobody is questioning the skill of the drivers, nor the degree of difficulty involved in driving over 200 mph on a track full of other cars, nor the tension that leads to elevated heart rates. But it is not a sport nor are they athletes. It's a contest and they are players. World of difference.
We live in a world that prefers delusion to the truth.

Trumpanomics is Working
Timothy Birdnow
Some economic news that should at least give us some warm fuzzies.
While in my opinion this is not exactly GOOD news it does indicate a recovery in the economy; housing prices have been dropping the last few years.
The median price of homes rose by 2.4% last year, a decent increase. What that means is the biggest investment most people make just gained a lot in value. And it means that those seeking to upgrade can now afford to do so as their houses are worth enough to let them close the sale of their home at a profit rather than a loss and thus to flip to a newer place without draining their funds.
It also reflects growing consumer confidence in the U.S. economy as buyers are willing to spend more.
The downside is housing in now more expensive and will consume a larger share of the average American's budget. And we all remember the housing bubble and subsequent crash; is this a bubble or is it genuine growth?
The article states:
"The April jobs report showed stronger-than-expected hiring, reducing recession risk. This likely helped fuel a pop in housing demand. Pending home sales hit the highest level since February 2023 last month, rising 2 percent from the month before—the largest increase since March 2025,” Redfin said.
But I wonder if Fannie and Freddie are not doing what they did back in the days before the Housing Bubble popped. I know they were back at work with the same policies that drove the crash, at least when Biden was in office. Not sure how much that has changed since Trump came in; hopefully a lot.
Still it is a sign of an economy that is faring well.
In other good economic news retail sales have
risen for the third straight month despite the rising prices as a result of the Iran war.
Sales rose by 0.5%. Naturally economists (almost all economists are liberal Keynsians these days) predicted they would be down.
Trumpanomics works and it will explode once this war is settled and the realignment is in position. We just have to make sure the public understands it's working now and will only get better in the future. That is a tough task since the media and the Democrats keep claiming the economy is in tatters when in fact it's raining soup and we don't have enough bowls to catch it.

MALLA, MALLA, We Be Free!
Timothy Birdnow
Godspeed Rep, Ogles and Tubberville!
MALLA is an idea long overdue.
DETAIL: The 83-page bill is co-sponsored by Representative Andy Ogles (R-TN) and Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), and has received backing from several other House Republicans, such as Reps. Lauren Boebert (R-CO), Ralph Norman (R-SC), Keith Self (R-TX), Mary Miller (R-IL), Eli Crane (R-AZ), Barry Moore (R-AL), and Morgan Luttrell (R-TX). The "Assimilation Act” seeks to "GUT the Hart-Celler Act of 1965” and "scrap provisions of the Immigration Act of the 1990s,” according to Rep. Ogles. Specifically, the bill seeks to slash net migration 85 percent, end birthright citizenship, end the H-1B visa program, impose stricter asylum standards and character tests, introduce mandatory e-Verify along with a "National Interest Standard,” as well as English language and American civics requirements. It also aims to end chain migration, the diversity visa lottery, and tighten public charge rules. The bill was announced on Thursday after months of preparation.
It was Ted Kennedy who spearheaded the 1965 changes to the immigration policies of the country that opened the door to and in fact favored Third World immigrants and eased border restrictions. Ted and the Democrats knew back then a bunch of aliens would help them attain power and they sought to undo the work of Eisenhower and Truman to kick illegal aliens out of the country (to the tune of almost six million). So a drunken libertine and possible murderer has been befouling this country, even now long after his gin-pickled carcass was sunk into the cold, cold ground (I wonder if Kennedy's body is still well preserved; all the alcohol in it should have guaranteed it remain in prime shape, like Lenin's body was preserved in Moscow by the Soviets.)
We need to return to the pre-sixties laws so America will remain American. As our Northern Tier Editor Dana Mathewson knows - many blue states look increasingly like Third World hellholes with folks who are not and never will be American running around the place.
I especially hope Tommy Tuberville winds up running for President some day; he's a true patriot and a man who knows how to win. God bless him!

Reforms and the Democrat House of Cards
Timothy Birdnow
The GOP is
introducing several bills to stop foreign donations to American political campaigns and foreign meddling after the Actblue scandal exposed millions of dollars going to the Democrats.
I am curious to see how the Donkey Party tries to spin their opposition to these common-sense reforms.
At any rate Here are the details:
To close those potential loopholes for fraud, the Campaign Finance Transparency Act would require political donations made via credit or debit card to include a CVV/CVC number, billing zip code, and a name that matches the name of the donor.
It would also prohibit political contributions via prepaid gift cards and require platforms to report all political donations, not just those over a certain dollar amount.
Contributions made from donors without a U.S. mailing address would require document verification to ensure that foreign actors are not using American identities to funnel money to preferred political candidates.
The other two bills sent to the House floor – the Preventing Foreign Interference in American Elections Act and the Stop Foreign Funds in Elections Act – aim to prevent foreign money from influencing how U.S. elections are conducted and what proposals make it to the ballot.
"Foreign nationals cannot be allowed to influence American elections,” Steil said. "That’s why I introduced the Preventing Foreign Interference in American Elections Act, which bans foreign nationals from donating to electioneering activities. This includes voter registration, get out the vote efforts, and ballot harvesting.”
In 2024, foreign billionaires moved money through nonprofit "dark money” groups like the Sixteen thirty Fund to support progressive ballot initiatives related to abortion access and automatic voter registration in multiple states, including Ohio, Arizona and Nevada. Such activities are currently legal at the federal level.
It is highly unlikely these things will pass in the Senate, but then at least we have this as a bludgeon with which to beat the vote stealing hippies in the Democratic Party. It's going to be difficult to defend voting against keeping foreign money out of American politics.
MAGA is systematically dismantling the Byzantine complex system of fraud and deceit and money laundering the Democrats have created, and it is defunding them while at the same time the retributive gerrymandering is taking away the ill-gotten power the Donkeys stole over the years by racial gerrymandering. The House that Barry Built is increasingly appearing to be a house of cards, and it is falling.

The Counter-Revolution Against Gay Marriage
Timothy Birdnow
The counter-revolution may well be beginning.
It took over forty years to reverse Roe V. Wade; we can probably reverse the horrible SCOTUS decision that created homosexual marriage out of nothing at all but it will take a long time.
We are now the insurgents and have to fight issue by issue against every victory the Left has won over the last half century.
Oh, it's not "marriage equality" its a fundamental redefinition of the meaning of marriage, one wholly unique in human history. And the legal reasoning was dreadful, with the primary argument being Conservatives hated gay people. That was it, that was the bulk of their reason for making it the law of the land.
Gay people are entitled to dignity and kind treatment (as entitled as anyone else; if they are picking fights and being jerks they should be treated like everyone else who picks fights and acts like a jerk) but redefining the meaning of marriage was, is, and will remain a step too far. If two men can marry, why not first cousins? Parents and children? Why not multiple marriages; that was in fact the way it was done until Christianity finally killed the practice of polygamy. Why not a boy and his dog? Why not a mortician and a corpse? With the rise of AI why can't a person marry their ChatGPT? Desire or a feeling of a state of marriage is not the defining characteristic of the meaning of marriage. It is a very specific thing.
All Ford F150's are pickup trucks but not all pickup trucks are Ford F150's. And certainly not all cars. When you talk about a Ford F150 you are referring to a very specific kind of vehicle.
Now homosexuals are free to covenant privately in any way they wish and nobody is saying they are not free to do so. In fact there have long been gay couples who felt they were in a very special relationship. But it is no more marriage than a guy who goes online to become an ordained minister in the Church of the Holy kumquat is a priest before God and the Holy Catholic Church.
A healthy society needs norms and moral standards and unfortunately our society is losing those and that is in no small part caused by the redefinition of marriage and the assaults on marriage by the leftist in our Western World.
And it certainly is a bad idea for gay couples to
allowed to adopt children. but even though a majority are likely not the fact remains these kids need both sexes to raise them and while single sex couples can do it this is hardly the ideal. I would add homosexuals tend to suffer from a lot more psychological problems and substance abuse and that makes it problematic to raise healthy, well adjusted kids.
I don't favor singles being given children either. Nor ex cons. Nor people with mental illness. Nor should he elderly get them except under special circumstances. (I am getting up there in years and have some health issues so I would think being given adoptive children would be a dreadful idea, even though I would love and cherish them and try to raise them properly.)
Raising children is not a right except where those children are your own but even then if you are unfit it's STILL not a right. If you are mentally retarded, or have schizophrenia, or are a sociopath, it's not a good idea for you to be raising kids.
At any rate making gay "marriage" a legal right will have a profound and detrimental impact on our society and we need to reverse it or we will pay a terrible price. Mark my words.

Fifteen or maybe eighteen years ago, I was "on the road" with a show about Judy Garland, and we even took it to her home town. That part is irrelevant. The music director was a long-time friend of mine, and he was gay. We, and some of the rest of the band, were talking one night about the current (it was current at the time) flap about "gay marriage," and he quietly said "It isn't we gays who are pushing for it."
That was the pin drop moment, of course. He went on to say "It's the noisy leftists who need something to fuss about that want it." (He himself was a liberal, of course, but a quiet one.) "We homosexuals basically want what everybody else wants: jobs, homes, the usual stuff. We don't want fuss." And he was right. He's one of the best friends my wife and I have had, ever since the day we met him. I won't go farther now, because it'd take a book.

I've heard similar things from gay people too Dana. It's the left that pushed that, and that was to force Christian people to turn their backs on the Laws of God and celebrate what is forbidden. That's why "Don't ask, don't tell" was destined to fail in the military - it was supposed to. It was just to crack the door open and then let the army march through. But dadt was always what the bulk of gay folks wanted in the first place.

Good Bye LaBayamessa: That's How the Cuban Cookie Crumbles
Timothy Birdnow
From the article:
Cuba’s energy and mines minister said on May 13 that the country has completely run out of diesel and heavy fuel oil, and that its power grid has entered a "critical” state, as Havana faces its worst rolling blackouts in decades amid a U.S. blockade that has strangled the island of fuel.
"We have absolutely no fuel [oil], and absolutely no diesel,” Energy Minister Vicente de la O Levy told a news conference covered by Cuba’s state-run media. "We have no reserves.”
[...]
Hundreds of Cubans protested in the streets of several neighborhoods on May 13, blocking roads with burning garbage and chanting, "Turn on the lights!” and "The people, united, will never be defeated.”
The minister said the country had not received any oil imports since December until Russia sent 100,000 tons (about 700,000 barrels) of crude last month.
Cuba was heavily reliant on Venezuelan oil, supplied by the Maduro regime, but that supply was stopped after he was ousted and replaced by interim leader Delcy Rodríguez. Mexico also stopped sending oil, under pressure from the United States.
And while Cuba is struggling with keeping the lights on and the trucks moving it finds itself in a huge energy bind regardless:
The Cuban capital is also suffering from food and medicine shortages.
The minister said the grid was operating entirely on Cuban-produced crude oil, natural gas, and renewable energy.
Solar Power Not Helping
Cuba has installed more than 1,300 megawatts of solar power over the past two years, but de la O Levy said the grid’s weakness meant it had to limit its input to avoid dangerous fluctuations.
The minister said the nation was in the final phase of a project to install large battery systems to stabilize the grid, allowing it to use more solar energy.
So the vaunted "renewables" are a flop, are they? The sad thing is Cuba is a MAJOR producer of sugar cane and they could follow Brazil's example and turn that into ethanol. (Brazil mandates that fully 25% of all fuel be ethanol, and they produce a lot of electricity by burning pure ethanol.) The only problem is the sugar cane is needed to feed the people; most Cubans survive extensively on sugar as their economy is
incapable of producing food for the public. Even so, the Communist model has resulted in
an industry collapse of sugar production in the island nation.
A nation that can't feed it's own people dare not use food for fuel.
This can't go on and either the regime will have to cry "uncle" and beg Trump for relief or the People will have to rise up and overthrow the Communists.
So what should happen to Cuba? Maybe we can get Puerto Rico to go in and administer the country for a while. Granted, Puerto Rico is run by Democrats under a different name so it wouldn't be much help. Forget I mentioned it!
Better, let El Salvador do the work Americans Just Won't Do. They've done a great job of cleaning up their own little slice of hell in the region.
Naturally the United Nations blamed the Trump Administration for Cuba's woes. They issued this statement:
"Cuba has been subjected to energy starvation by the United States, a condition in which the lack of fuel cripples the functioning of essential services required for a dignified life,” the experts said. "This unlawful blockade is not only disrupting daily life but also undermining the enjoyment of a wide range of human rights.”
But in the end this is what happens under Communism. We are just helping their regime to collapse under the weight of it's own contradictions.
Uh, in Cuba you don't have "human rights" - you have privileges that are extended by the State and can be revoked at any time.
When the lights go out for good and the trucks no longer run Cuba's government will collapse. It is inevitable.
Cuban troops have attacked American interests overseas for decades, going back to Angola and probably earlier. They helped fight the U.S. in
lots of places over the years, including in Africa and the Middle East and especially in other Latin American countries. They
attacked an American flagged ship recently, killing 4 people and wounding 6 others. There were large numbers of Cuban soldiers in Venezuela protecting Maduro. They've been all over Latin America, everywhere they believe they can foment revolution. It's well past time we put a stop to this.
Donald Trump isn't a man to kick the can down the road and he can walk and chew gum at the same time. He's serious about finally fixing this problem and he's going to do it. If the Cuban government cared about it's people it would try to make a deal with Mr. Trump now but they will never do that because that would show weakness to their own people. So they will prefer to let them starve.
It's a horrible thing, but then Communism always is.

Yep.
Even though I came after the "duck and cover" heyday we still did those drills on occasion in my Catholic grade school. I remember getting on the floor and hiding under the completely open desk. We also practiced going in the halls and kneeling with our faces to the wall. Good times!

Proof There was a Plot inside the Capitol Police to Allow Mayhem on J6
Timothy Birdnow
So, did the Democrats engineer the J6 incident? Not only did they but it had a specific goal of removing the Capitol Police head, according to a whistleblower, and he's got the evidence to prove it.
FTA:
"…Evidence reveals that the violence, deaths, injuries, and aftermath of January 6th were not the result of mere intelligence failures or incompetence,” the whistleblower wrote, "but may have stemmed from intentional acts by insiders seeking to remove then-Chief of Police Steven Sund and consolidate control over the USCP and its intelligence functions.”
The whistleblower letter, written by a senior law enforcement official with firsthand knowledge of events in the department prior to, on and after Jan. 6, alleged that senior Capitol Police leaders conspired with Democrats in Congress to create the conditions for a Jan. 6 disaster — and the nearly immediate firing of Sund.
[...]
"It shows there’s some coordination, some consultation taking place in advance,” Sund told Veritas Regnat in an interview. "Think about it. About 48 hours after this text is sent, she [Pittman] is given my job.”
"The way I remember it, she was described as being giddy.”
— Former U.S. Capitol Police Chief Steven A. Sund
The report says the goal of promoting Pittman was especially egregious given her relative lack of experience compared to other senior Capitol Police officials. Her apparent planned elevation to chief was engineered by key Democrat officials in the House and Senate, the whistleblower said.
A screenshot of the letter is posted in the article.
More from the article:
The primary evidence of foreknowledge is a phone message allegedly sent by U.S. Capitol Police Sgt. Lawrence J. Cook, 42, to his superior, Deputy Chief Gallagher. Sources said this message had been in the possession of the now-defunct Jan. 6 Select Committee led by Reps. Bennie Thompson (D-Miss.) and Liz Cheney (R-Wyo.).
The message was again discovered in December 2025 by an investigator for the GOP-controlled House Select Subcommittee on January 6, led by U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk (R-Ga.).
"I assert that Sergeant Cook’s January 6th message fundamentally alters the understanding of responsibility for January 6, presenting what I believe is direct evidence of a conspiracy involving USCP personnel and Democratic staff,” the whistleblower wrote.
A senior congressional source also confirmed to Veritas Regnat the existence and content of the communications between Cook and Gallagher.
Sources said just prior to Jan. 6, Pittman was not happy at being assigned to handle the rumored threat that an airliner would be crashed into the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. Based on an anonymous message broadcast over air-traffic control frequencies in New York, the threatened act of terror was said to be in retaliation for the assassination of Iranian General Qassem Soleimani, who was killed in a U.S. drone strike on Jan. 3, 2021. The threat was eventually deemed not credible.
‘Excited’ to take over
While Pittman was apparently hassled and unhappy about the terrorism-related duty assignment, she felt she had something big to look forward to on Jan. 6, sources said.
A text message sent from Cook to Gallagher at or prior to 9:30 a.m. stated that Pittman was "excited about taking over for Sund today,” the whistleblower wrote.
Sund said, "The way I remember it, she was described as being giddy.”
The first breach of the Capitol’s outer perimeter by protesters occurred at 12:53 p.m., more than 15 minutes before President Donald J. Trump finished speaking at the Ellipse, and at least 3.5 hours after Cook allegedly sent his message to Gallagher.
You get the picture; internal politics played a part in the J6 frameup, along with Democrat duplicity.
I doubt we'll ever get the full story on J6, how it was engineered by the Democrats and a cabal of disgruntled Capitol Police but it clearly was engineered. This was essentially a coup attempt but not by the people at the Capitol that day - it was a coup by the "loyal opposition". It was a coup to disgrace President Trump and his supporters, even while the Demofats had ostensibly won the election. They needed something to shut everyone's mouths about fraud and election theft.

Cook County is, of course, Chicago and its environs.
My first wife (who I like to refer to as "my practice wife") and I used to pal around with a gal from that neck of the woods, and we would often go into Ontario for one thing or another. When asked by Customs where she was from, she'd never say a city, just "Cook County, Illinois." I'd sometimes dig her about being ashamed of Chicago corruption and she'd get really pissed, saying there'd never been any convictions; to which I'd reply "Carol, you've had too much to drink!"

Momdani Has Already Bankrupted NYC
Timothy Birdnow
Commie Momdani has already bankrupted New York City and his wingwoman Kathy Hochum Hochul is bailing the bankrupt burroughs out with New York State taxpayer dollars - to the tune of $4 billion bucks.
Why should Syracuse or Elmira or any other place in upstate New York pay Gotham so that the Bolshevik Muslim can run grocery stores or free bus service?
And how do you bankrupt a city in so short a time?
Places like New York that use taxpayer dollars to implement leftist policies should be forced to live on their own budgets and if they can't they should face the consequences. As Margaret Thatcher pointed out, socialism is great until you run out of other people's money.
And if New York State wants to bail the wormy apple out, why should that state receive taxpayer dollars from Washington? New York made it's bed and now should have to lie in it.
Same as California. Same as Illinois. Same as Minnesota, or Michigan, or any other leftist hellhole.
Momdani rolled out his budget for the city - $127 BILLION dollars. The State of Florida's entire budget this year was $117 billion. Florida's population is 23,659,198 whereas the population of New York City is 8,584,629 So Florida is spending ten billion less to govern almost three times as many people.
If New York wants a socialist worker's paradise that is their business but they have no business crying to the rest of the country when they go broke.

More Foreign Fraud
Timothy Birdnow
Another day, another foreign fraud scheme.
Hasn't ANYONE who came here in recent years come for freedom and to build a better life for themselves rather than just steal from taxpayers?
Just a little taste:
According to Lyons, investigators have "discovered empty buildings and locked doors at addresses where hundreds of foreign students are allegedly employed." Investigators have also found hundreds of foreign students listed as working out of residential addresses.
"In many places," he continued, "multiple OPT employers claim to operate from the same address, but none actually lease the facility."
"When someone does open the door, their statements are inconsistent, or they claim no knowledge of the business," said Lyons.
The ICE director also said investigators uncovered what he referred to as "phantom employees," who he said are foreign students who obtained work authorization through OPT but never actually showed up for work at the sites they claimed to work out of.
"This is not accidental," Lyons concluded. "This is deliberate, coordinated and criminal."
fin
Foreigners appear to have been stealing everytbing that wasn't nailed down, and when it WAS nailed down they bought crowbars with taxpayer money.
How much of this do you suppose went to the DNC?

Yes, the former New York City Mayor, prosecutor (who broke the Mafia) and Trump lawyer found himself waiting for his own judgment and spoke with his dead best friend.
Giuliani promises to give comprehensive details later but gives a bare-bones account of his experience.

Uncle Sugar Daddy Cutting California's Trust Fund
Timothy Birdnow
Great!
CSPAN
@cspan
VP Vance announces deferment of $1.3B in Medicaid reimbursement to California in fraud crackdown: "California has not taken fraud very seriously…There are California taxpayers and American taxpayers who are being defrauded because California isn't taking its program seriously."
California keeps taxing all Americans with their insane expenditures and their corruption and expecting the Feds to compensate them when their schemes fail. California is not the navel of America (more like that dimple on the OTHER side of the body) and it does not have a right to take money from the rest of us to support its monetary drug habit.
I strongly suspect this massive fraud isn't just about enriching corrupt people but is being laundered back to the Democrats. It's the way political machines work; they find ways to force taxpayers to fund the machine. I think California, Illinois, Minnesota, New York, and a host of other Blue states have been doing this for years, funneling taxpayer dollars to sketchy organizations who turn around and launder this money back to the Democrats.
After the election of 2000 Rush Limbaugh observed the Democrats had absolute resolve never to lose a close election like that again and set about building a national machine, similar to the Daley machine in Chicago but one that spanned the whole country. Glenn Beck echoed that as well. Nobody listened at the time and the GOP let them build the machine and turn it on and the Democrats have held far more political power than they would have otherwise; the reality is they are a minority party. But they keep winning and a big part of the reason is they are extremely well funded and a big chunk of that is taxpayer money funneled through shady programs and given back to them. (Other mechanisms include gerrymandering and lawfare and huge vote fraud machines.)
The scam can only work with compliant judges and the media running cover for them. That is why they turned on Donald Trump, a man who they used to adore, when he started talking about the corruption in D.C. and how he wanted to fix the problems; they realized that he was serious and could destroy the Machine. He has yet to destroy it but he's done some serious damage to it and that more than anything is why they so hate him. This machine was supposed to lead them to eternal power and the dreamed of Great Reset. Now that dream is in tatters by and large and they will have to rebuild from the foundation.
That is why their hatred is so visceral and so blind; it's not the hatred for someone you just don't like but for someone who has wrecked your fondest dream. To them Trump is the Russian police in Fiddler on the Roof who trashes the wedding of Tevye's daughter.
Richard Nixon had believed there was a "great silent majority" out there who would save him from the attack dogs of the media and from the Democrats (who hated Nixon because of Alger Hiss, even though Hiss was indeed a Communist and they probably knew it). The GSM never materialized for Nixon, largely because Tricky Dick was wholly unlikable and was paranoid enough not to get out in front of it while Trump talks to the media daily, even while insulting them to their stupid faces. Trump had the good fortune of a Great Silent Majority finally awakening and becoming active. Talk radio, Fox News and other cable news, podcasting and blogs gave the GSM a platform and now the public knows what the Deep State is about. Trump rode a wave that didn't exist for Nixon (who was not a very conservative guy, I might add, but was a fighter like Trump). The Left and Media (the same thing) went back to the same playbook, using the plays they ran on Nixon. These didn't work with Trump, nd MAGA did not splinter like the old Tea Party or other Conservative revivals. MAGA folks realize the nation is in peril of complete collapse, or at least of being turned into something alien and evil.
Nixon came in the seventies when the hippies were still ascendant and the public was weary of the fight.
Anyway, to get back on topic, the Democrats have looted the treasury for decades now and this current Administration is wise to them. If we are to break the stranglehold of the Ruling Class it has to start at the state level.

Nixon was not a great politician, but he was a smart man who knew where too many of the bodies were buried, which is why he had to be destroyed. Hence Watergate. At least he wasn't assassinated.
I suspect he never really knew what happened to him. His one great fault was that he was totally loyal to his friends, and he expected total loyalty from those who worked for him.
As a graduate musician in college, I marched down Pennsylvania Avenue in Nixon's first Inaugural Parade -- and he's been MY president ever since. The band spent the week in DC and we had some experiences, that I won't tell you about now.

You nailed it Dana. Nixon went down because he was loyal to his underlings who were working to protect him. As you say, he's lucky he was not assassinated.
I remember watching Nixon's resignation speech on television.
It is a shame because he had so much promise but they took him out anyway and he walked into their trap.

No Kings: the CIA Raided Gabbard, Stole Files She was Going to Declassify
Timothy Birdnow
If true heads need to roll!
Yes, they likely went into the National Reconnaissance Office to prevent the release of files that could possibly directly implicate them in criminal activity. DNI Gabbard was reviewing them for release to the public.
According to the Daily Caller:
Two intelligence community officials confirmed to the Daily Caller that CIA officials took documents from the JFK and MKUltra files that were being reviewed by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard for declassification.
A CIA whistleblower testified to the Senate Homeland Security committee on Wednesday that the agency "took back 40 boxes of JFK and MKUltra files” and "illegally monitored the computer and phone usage” of Gabbard’s investigators looking into an alleged cover-up of the origins of Covid-19. Notably, MKUltra was an illegal CIA experiment program that used drugs and psychological torture to develop mind control and interrogation techniques.
end
What are they trying to hide?
The Director of National Intelligence is THEIR boss as much as the Director of the CIA is, more in fact. So they raided their own boss's office and stole information they had no right to take.
This is a very serious crime. It is also proof that the intelligence community thinks they are above the law and that they are the true rulers of this country. Frankly, they aren't wrong on those assumptions, but they are where they are not by popular demand; the public still believes we are in charge of this country. The Intel folks and the Deep State see it differently.
Katie Pavlich had this to say:

@KatiePavlich
UPDATE on this and more on
@KatiePavlichNN
at 10 pm et on NewsNation. I just spoke to an Intelligence official who told me the following:
-The documents were not taken today and it was not a raid on DNI Gabbard's office
-People from the CIA took documents (related to the JFK assassination/MKUltra) from the National Reconnaissance Office *last year* in the middle of the night during the government shutdown and have not returned/is withholding them from ODNI
-Because the CIA is withholding these documents, they cannot be declassified and scanned for public release
-"The CIA doesn't think they answer to anyone."
-"I doubt [CIA Director] Ratcliffe knew about it"
-

These are Gestapo tactics, the kind of thing that happens in a Soviet or Fascist state and not a free nation. (Who are the Fascists? Seems to me Trump is the guy playing by the rules and not the Deep State; we have been living in a Fascist state since Obama, surely, and probably since Bill Clinton.)
National security is not supposed to operate on American soil and certainly not supposed to make decisions about what the American People can or cannot be told by their elected representatives. This is a kind of treason, treason against the Constitution of the United States.
Time to disband the Central Intelligence Agency and probably a host of others - including the DIA and NSA. They think they are kings, or at least oligarchs.
P.S. Conservative Treehouse rather sneeringly
dismissed this story without presenting any real evidence against it. They just called anyone who thought it might be true stupid and said John Ratcliff and Tulsi Gabbard are friends (as if the CIA Director would sign off on something so illegal himself.)
The fact is this is exactly the kind of thing the CIA would do. Even if it isn't true it doesn't change the fact that the CIA has been running it's own domestic and foreign policy for decades and is in dire need of dismantling.

So yesterdays CIA DIG director and Covid whistleblower refered to boxes of this same material Mk ultra and JFK files removed from Tulsi s control It was not stated as a raid. It was couched in terms of a hostile act however (hostil to truth) Was he just recurgitated Fox reports? Seems odd from a long term Cia recruiter and anylast, However we are all susceptable to beleiving that which reinforces our own bias I will try and roll through it and see if I can find the relative section
This same CIA spokesman did a press releasee during the hearing read aloud by Senator johnson on the commitees hearing was all showboating and that the whistleblower had been aloud to testify in closed session and that his "whistle blowing” under supeona from the commitee this guy and his team behind him were 100% Tulsi supporters based on statements and the reactions of his team sitting in thr gallery behind himtrialbytruth

This story is being called a raid which is what is making some react to it as fake news, but I would characterize it as a theft of documents. And it happened some time ago.
So is it true? I suspect so but wonder why it's just coming out now. It was probably waiting so as not to tip the hand of the perpetrators so investigations could find out who did it.
Many of the commenters think it is a red herring but why? Nobody could quite elucidate what this would accomplish.
There is something there but it's anybody's guess what it is.

I keep hearing this kind of crap and I keep thinking that half the people in DC ought to be tossed in the calabazoo for maybe ten years, for starters.

I agree; it's a complete cesspool there. We haven't had government of the People by the People for the People in a long, long time.

Mississippi Mud
Timothy Birdnow
Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves (the name absolutely reeks of RINO)
has withdrawn a call for a special session to redistrict the Congressional map, thus allowing the Democrats to keep their racially gerrymandered seat in Congress. Reeves is calling for redistricting for the 2027 state election but not before.
His bizarre reasoning is that since the Calais ruling overturned a lower court order to force Mississippi to redistrict for racial reasons it is no longer necessary to redraw boundaries right now:
"Because of that, there is no longer any reason for the Legislature to come in on next Wednesday for judicial redistricting and so I do not expect that the Legislature will come in next Wednesday because there is no reason to do so,”
Either old Tate is just a RINO or he's compromised in some way. Either way he is failing America when we need him - this election is of absolute importance.
And yet he claims he is going to work for not just the good of Mississippi but of America, and work with the Trump Administration. Huh? He won't see to it Congress remains Republican but he will claim he wants to work with Trump; he has to know that if Trump loses Congress the whole MAGA agenda goes down and so does the President, maybe. They will impeach him again and again. They will investigate him, stop his agenda, and do whatever is in their power to destroy both Trump the man and the agenda America elected him to implement.
I've long argued the Establishment Republicans want to keep Congress at a razor thin margin, making themselves indispensable and giving the "moderate" wing undue influence. They really don't want to win - just keep it close. And in fact being in the minority but close keeps campaign money flwing and lets them put up whatever loser candidates they like and Conservatives will be forced to vote for them solely because of the R after their name. It will be "too important" to go for someone who is truly conservative. It's how we got some of the real jackasses we've had in the GOP over the years (guys like John Cornyn); it was the better of two terrible options. RINO's love that!
I expect Reeves is just another RINO trying to straddle the fence.
When will we get real leaders in this country?

Trump Takes Greenland (Sort of)
Timothy Birdnow
Hmmmm....
The BBC reported early Tuesday that the Trump administration is "holding regular negotiations with Denmark to expand its military presence in Greenland," according to "the usual sources familiar with the discussions." While a far cry from Trump's opening position of making the Danes turn over Greenland and recognizing it as an American possession — the "easy way" or "the hard way," as Trump put it — the discussions reportedly include more than just a handful of new military bases.
One source told the Beeb that administration officials "floated an arrangement in which the three new military bases would be formally designated as U.S. sovereign territory."
That's the twist.
The denial of the use of air bases in places like Spain and Italy illustrated more than anything the dire need for control of at least part of Greenland. The Danes could just say no to us any time they pleased in a conflict and we'd be powerless to overrule them.
So we may get sovereignty over our military bases on the frozen island.
While this isn't a done deal yet it looks likely to go through.
Tired of winning yet?

A time may come when Spain, and/or Italy may find they want America's help and not get it, and wonder why.

Indeed so. Friendship goes both ways and they will learn that not being a friend means you can't call on us when the chips are down.
