Poetic Justice
Timothy Birdnow
We need to start a go-fund-me page for this gal. I mean, if she can't get an apartment in Canada she's going to come back here after all...
She can't get a job in Canada because she's not a citizen and she can't afford an apartment with no job. Odd; I though America sucked because we ask people to prove their citizenship.
Truly heartwrenching!
We should all contribute to keep the likes of her living as she deserves in the wonderful socialist Nanny o' the North.

I almost spilled my wine when I read this article (after I fixed the link). Two lesbians, a cat and a dog, begging for an apartment at below bottom rent rates or free -- wonder just how long it will take those friendly Canadians to respond to that?

My reaction as well Dana. I suspect she's going to be waiting a while to get a free place to live.

Genesis of Climate Alarmism
Here you go!
"The Common Enemy or Humanity Is Man
In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill.In their totality and in their interactions these phenomena do constitute a common threat which demands the solidarity of all peoples. But in designating them as the enemy, we fall into the trap about which we have already warned, namely mistaking symptoms for causes. All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome. The real enemy, then, is humanity itself.”

Yep.
I would add the Club of Rome was not original in this; the Endangered Atmospheres Conference of 1975 made this case way back then, and they decided to ride the global COOLING hypothesis to world government first. When it started warming up they shifted gears.
John Holdren, Obama's science adviser, was on of the top names at the Endangered Atmosphere Conference, I might add.
This has been a leftist dirty trick for a long time. They knew they couldn't go after capitalism as long as nobody was being hurt by it so they found the one thing we all share and used that as the wedge. They actually said this was what they were doing at the EAC.

The Madness of J.B.
Timothy Birdnow
Pot meet kettle.
"Two Tuns of Fun" Pritzker is the one who is demented and unhinged.
The neckless nuisance made his hysterical accusations on What A Mess Now (MSNOW):
Pritzker said, "It was unhinged. I mean, watching his press conference today where he just as you pointed out, I mean, he just fell apart about this and attacked Supreme Court justices and could not understand why he could not wield this power that he believes is his that has now been found unconstitutional. So and what does he do? He turns to yet another statute that allows tariffs in certain circumstances. And now he intends to reimpose these tariffs that are truly devastating small businesses. They’re hurting families across my state. And as you saw, $1,700 per family, these are working families, $1,700. Remember, this is the guy who lowered taxes on the wealthiest people and he raised taxes, the tariff taxes on the middle class, the working class.”
"I really think he’s suffering from dementia and it’s got him just lashing out at people constantly. Now he’s lashing out at the very people that he appointed. It was hard to watch that press conference and think everything was going okay there.”
And yet the tariffs have been shown to do no harm whatsoever to the economy, and people's real wages and buying power are rising. Who is it that is unhinged? I know good and well Pritzker knows this too.
OF COURSE Trump slammed the imbecile Justices for this mess of a ruling - so did the three dissenting voices on the court (who basically told him how to fix it). And take John Roberts (please, badabump!) who declared Obamacare a tax when the Obi Administration argued it was NOT a tax so he could declare Obamacare legal. He just flipped completely, made a 180 degree turn, with the tariffs.
If Trump has lost his marbles why are you the guys who are screaming? Why are you the folks who are rioting?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Oh, and what does a billionaire know about the vicissitudes of the common man? Anybody? Trump at least worked like a commoner when he was younger even if his father's wealth opened doors for him. What did Pritzker do before going into politics? He was a venture capitalist from California who was a major fundraiser for the Democrats, that's what. Trump built things, Pritzker leveraged money. The man never actually worked a day in his life.

Islamization of Texas
Timothy Birdnow.
Somebody really should tell theses fools that it is a sin punishable by DEATH to wwalk away from Islam. It's a religion that works like the Mafia; once in you don't get out.
No doubt these silly teens think it's like Christianity and you are free to join or leave. It's not.
I knew a minister who did outreach to Muslims in the Bosnian sector in St. Louis. He never had any converts. Oh, he did have one; the man was accosted by four masked men in the alley as he was taking out his trash and beaten within an inch of his life. He had to move away after that or they would have finished the job.
THAT is what happens to apostates in Islam. It's voluntary as long as you volunteer or else.
These kids are making a commitment tat is irrevocable.
And we are facilitating this bullying by letting these people immigrate here in the first place.
Islam is on the ascendancy not because it offers anything of any value to anyone but because it has refused to join the ennui, the anomie of post-Christian nations and still holds fast to a core religious belief, even though that belief is anti-Christ and destructive. And Islam benefits from the replacement theology that sprang up in the post-Christian West, which says anyone who is not white or Christian is a good guy and everything white or Christian is evil. So many youths are attracted to Islam based on Western slavery, for instance. But of course it was the Muslims who gave slavery to the West in no small part, and in fact the slave trade worked through Muslim intermediaries. African warlords waged war and after a victory took whole villages into slavery. They took the slaves to coastal towns and sold them to Muslim merchants, who then sold them to white slavers, who shipped them to America (mostly the Caribbean). Without the Muslim slavers the whole system would have fallen apart; the whites were not about to go into the interior of Africa to capture slaves on their own. It was too time-consuming and required a permanent presence in these African countries.
So these young skulls full of mush aren't aware that they are embracing the true slavers. Sexual slavery, and misogyny are also both hallmarks of Islamic culture and yet we have foolish white girls embracing it as though it is somehow liberating. It's self-enslavement.
Islam never did much for civilization despite their claims to the contrary; people in the countries they conquered did things (they conquered the most civilized parts of the world at the time) but progress eventually petered out as Sharia crushed the life out of any scholarship or enterprise.
Take Algebra. Algebra was a term coined by Persian mathematician Muhammad ibn Musa al-Khwarizmi, and originally it applied to setting broken bones. al Khwarizmi adopted work done in India prior to him, as well as other mathematical concepts from the West; he did not invent algebra as is so often claimed.
Muslims often did that; claimed credit for ideas that came from elsewhere.
At any rate if Islam is allowed to grow in any country it will eventually turn virulent and abusive towards the host nation, and demand the imposition of Sharia.
Letting large numbers of Muslims immigrate is like drinking water infected with cholera. Sure, it might be thirst-quenching but the end result is not pretty.

Susan Rice Makes an Offer They'd Better Not Refuse
Timothy Birdnow
Susan Rice promises gangster government if the Democrats retake power.
Western Lensman
@WesternLensman
Susan Rice offers a taste of what’s coming should the left retake power — promises Democrats will punish corporations and other institutions who have "taken a knee to Trump.”
"It’s not going to end well for them."
"If these corporations think that the Democrats, when they come back in power, are going to play by the old rules…they’ve got another thing coming."
"There will be an accountability agenda."
"This is not going to be an instance of forgive and forget."
end
She's showing her inner Stalin here and this should end any hopes the Democrats have in November. But of course the media just will keep this quiet.

Trump to Va. District Appointee by Court: You're Fired!
Timothy Birdnow
James Hundley was sacked immediately after the appointment by this cabal of judges, who had forced Trump's interim appointee out because they say he overstayed the term for an interim appointment. They have been trying to sneak a Democrat into that post for months now. .
Hundley had close ties with the Virginia bar, meaning he was undoubtedly a leftist and Democrat.
The Eastern District for Virginia has been in a battle of wills with Trump, who has the right to choose his own underlings without Court meddling. The Democrats in this district have prevented Trump from getting his choices in the post and so the court exercised an obscure law (grossly unconstitutional, I might add) that allows them to choose the next DOJ prosecutor. (The Courts were specifically denied this authority and for good reason; it's one of the basic checks and balances. I wonder if the Administration has a lawsuit pending and if so where it sits on the docket.)
I would point out Israel has a law where Supreme Court Justices choose their own replacements and this has led to ridiculous rulings, such as the charges against Benjamin Netanyahu for corruption when there was no evidence - they just don't like Bebe and have sought to destroy him by tampering with the political process.
Trump sacked the original prosecutor there (the article says he "resigned" but that is what happens when the President tells you to quit or get fired) for his refusal to take any action on the Letitia James case. He foot-dragged so long that the new prosecutor had almost no time to prepare the charges against her.
He was set to replace Linsey Halligan. Now, this panel of judges could easily have simply ratified the choice of Halligan but they refused to do so, choosing their own bedfellow.
The President is entitled to his own choices for his own bureaucracy. Yes, there is advice and consent, but if Congress refuses to take any action on his nominees that hardly justifies unelected judges forcing someone on him.
The presiding judge in the Eastern District of Virginia is Jamar K. Walker, a Biden appointee and "LGBTQ" person (not sure; is he gay, Bi, Trans, or Queer?) Sadly he received a lot of Republican votes when he was nominated to this court. Only 40 voted against him. That is what "bipartisanship" gets you; it's never reciprocated by the Democrats.
He's been a vocal critic of the President. He should not be entitled to choose the President's men (imagine if the President chose HIS men!)
Hundley was sworn in by Chief US District Judge M. Hannah Lauck, a Welsly gad and graduate of Yale Law. An Obama appointee, Lauck is unquestionably liberal.
This was nothing but an attempted power grab by Democrat jurists. Good thing the DOJ acted swiftly to fire this guy. Now this case will probably wind up in court and it gives the Administration grounds to take it to SCOTUS. Of course, we have no idea how THEY will jump, but in a sane world they would declare the law unconstitutional.

Trump Thanked Sheriff for Arrest of Epstein
Timothy Birdnow
Exculpatory evidence for Trump.
Trump told Palm Beach police chief ‘thank goodness you’re stopping’ Epstein, called Ghislaine Maxwell ‘evil’ in 2006 phone call: FBI document
That was back in 2006, so it shows that Trump realized Epstein was a bad guy and dumped him - just as he has always claimed.
Bet the Democrats are crying into their box chardonnay right about now.
FTA:
"Thank goodness you’re stopping him, everyone has known he’s been doing this,” Trump was quoted as telling Reiter on the call, adding that he "got the hell out of there” on one occasion when he was around Epstein while teenagers were present.
The summary, first reported by the Miami Herald, added that Trump told Reiter he "threw” Epstein out of Mar-a-Lago and that "people in New York knew Epstein was disgusting.”

Another Assassination Attempt on Trump
Timothy Birdnow
From The New York Post:
An armed intruder has been shot dead after illegally entering President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida early Sunday morning, the US Secret Service has said.
The unidentified man in his early 20s was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun and a fuel can at the north gate of the West Palm Beach property at around 1:30 a.m. Sunday and was shot dead by Secret Service agents and a Palm Beach County sheriff’s deputy, according to a statement put out on social media.
It's almost ten a.m. as I write this and I could find nothing about this with a Google or Bing search. It's as if it hadn't happened. Now why do you suppose that is?
The media wants to bury this. The assassination attempt on Trump saw his public approval soar, and if the media gives this the seriousness it deserves they fear a sympathy backlash will hurt their precious Democrats. They know that it is their rhetoric that is causing this stuff and they don't want the public to sour on it, so they will just yawn "nothing to see here" and move along.
Wonder if this guy was an illegal alien, or an Antifa guy with a leftist manifesto?
The media has to move delicately; they want this sort of pressure, attempts on Trump, violence, etc. but they don't want too much of it because then it doesn't seem justified (or organic). No doubt the New York Times writers are high-fiving right about now, or bemoaning the attempt's failure, but they are going to take time to deal with this because they need to find a way to make it inconsequential or justified. If they could find a way to blame the GOP for it all the better, but until they do they will say little, as little as they can.
Right now the Left is testing, probing for weaknesses. At some point they may succeed. They believe (rightly in many ways) that Trump is the head of the serpent and if they cut that off MAGA will be leaderless and the inevitable infighting that will come will fracture the movement and the "rightful rules" can then emerge to retake power.
Trump IS the head; nobody else could have done what he did. A Vance Presidency would probably be o.k. but I doubt Vance - with a young family - would be able to withstand what Trump has endured. He'll soften to spare his family (and who could blame him). The Left knows this.
As I say, this is just a probing expedition. The real assassination attempts will come after the November elections, when there is no danger of a sympathy vote.
I never thought it would come to this in America. I feel like I'm in a Shakespearean play about ancient Rome.
BTW how stupid do you have to be to attempt to invade Mar-a-Lago, Trump's home turf? Why would this idiot think he could outwit the Secret Service, with years of experience and training? I get a long range shot at Trump, but trying to sneak in with a weapon and gasoline? Really?

I think we know why places in the Southwest are shrinking; illegal aliens who occupied residences are leaving.
Household sizes are shrinking across the U.S., impacting housing demand. From 2014 to 2024, the average household size dropped from 2.65 to 2.50 nationally, with the largest decline in Lake Havasu City–Kingman, AZ.

Susan Rice Declares War on America
A Declaration of War
Susan Rice, long time Obama insider and Biden advisor, just issued a threat of retribution to anyone who opposes her radical, collectivist party and the faceless commissars behind it.
MICHAEL SMITH
FEB 21
Susan Rice roasted for claiming racism has cost the US $16 trillion: 'This is nuts' | Fox News
It is hard not to see that, when taken in total, their facetious and ridiculous opposition to the SAVE Act included, the agenda and end game of the Democrat Party is clear.
It is the complete destruction of the American citizen.
Not the person per se, but the title, definition, and value of citizenship.
At its core, America is not the Constitution, it is not the executive, legislative, or judicial branch the Constitution created, it is not any federal, state, or local government or agency thereof, or the massive compendium of regulations and laws.
America is its citizens—not it’s "persons”, not its immigrants, not its "migrants”. It is formed from citizens who bear the duties and responsibilities required of that legal title and from which American tradition and culture arose and is sustained.
Democrats have figured something out, they are not so much trying to destroy American culture and the Constitution directly because they don’t have to do that—if they get rid of the citizen on which both depend—and as it turns out, that’s far easier to do.
Half of America, completely unaware of how uniquely powerful and valuable American citizenship is, treat citizenship as if it was a discarded Big Mac wrapper. They will not know what they lost until it is gone, until it is too late to recover. To the "there is no illegal on stolen ground” crowd, eliminating the power of citizenship is viewed as shedding a uniquely evil and corrupt legacy.
As I noted recently, America’s identity rests not in its wealthy, its academics, or its elites, rather it is vested in the common man, the middle class, and not just as a repository and safehold of prosperity, but as the bastion of liberty. The common man from and for whom the Constitution was written, it was not the values and principles of elites forced upon a population 250 years ago, it was taken from how they wanted to live their lives and was designed to protect that possibility for themselves and to ensure it for their posterity.
A government does not have citizens to command; citizens have a government that exists only by their permission.
Democrats want a seething mass of unidentified people who possess none of that but will be eligible to vote and can be bought for the price of welfare and satisfaction of their envy. Inflating the ranks of their FSA (Free Shit Army) is their plan to win future elections—and it might work because there is an endless global supply of inductees for that army. They have proven this time and time again by prioritizing illegal aliens over actual citizens through sanctuary policies, defense of even criminal illegal aliens, insane court rulings, and the provision of federal and state benefits that citizens pay for but cannot access.
And Democrats will continue to confiscate what they can and destroy any prosperity they can’t to collapse the middle class to achieve their end of the pile of ashes produced by transactional politics, the only legal con game in America.
To be an American is more than just living inside her borders, more than just a physical presence, it is believing America is the home of freedom, liberty, and self-determination. It is a respect for America’s laws and it more than a "place”, it is a spiritual bond with each other and enduring devotion to the ideal that all men are created equal under God and they are truly endowed by that Creator with certain unalienable rights.
People are going to say that this is too harsh, they just want to protect and provide for the weak and really don’t mean what they say.
Well, it isn’t too harsh, Democrats simply use the weak as emotional cannon fodder, and they absolutely do mean what they say, no matter who stupid it sounds.
It is past the time for the mincing of words, for kind sophistry, for appeasement in hopes of peace. Susan Rice, former advisor to Biden and NSA to Obama, said it out loud. She clearly laid out a plan for retribution and when Democrats take power, the plan open assault upon anyone who opposed them. Rice essentially issued a declaration of war on American citizens.
It’s not hard to imagine them setting up nationwide J6-like investigations, prosecutions in kangaroo courts, and incarcerations for any conservative or Republican with the temerity to speak or act against them. They used the Covid era as practice for how far they could go without resistance, and it proved they can go pretty damned far.
Democrats have revealed themselves as anti-citizen and are therefore anti-American.
Their war on the American citizen must be stopped.
And it is time we recognized that fact.

Very true Bill although it becomes a "chicken or egg" question as it does define the character of the nation as a whole based on rights and duties and responsibilities. But you are correct in that it is primarily a blueprint for how the central government would work, and that government was intended to be limited.
I suspect Michael Smith would agree with you here.

Carbon Isotopes and Climate Change
Timothy Birdnow
One of the Gang Green's arguments is that the ratio between carbon 12 and 13 is shifting and this is a "signature" of human-induced climate change. It's silly.
First we don't know if those isotope levels are caused by industrial emissions or not. I would remind you that industrial emissions dropped by 17% during the pandemic yet we saw no drop in the rate of increase of atmospheric CO2 during that time, nor right after it either. What does that tell us? It suggests this is all natural and the so-called "fingerprint" is not really that at all.
The ratio between carbon 12 and 13 and carbon 14 is very small - less than 1% - and may well be a measurement problem. Carbon 12 and c13 have only an 8% difference I might add and so it may well be we just are in the margin of error. We don't know for sure. And we don't KNOW this can't happen from natural causes. As usual the alarmists pretend to more knowledge than they have any right to claim.
That reality is that this is an issue on the margins.
In fact we saw changes in the balance between c12 and c13 in paleo times; the Permian for instance, which was caused by the eruption of the Siberian traps. So it does happen naturally.
And the fact remains CO2 is a trace gas at 0.042% of the Earth's atmosphere. Only four molecules of carbon dioxide are in every TEN THOUSAND molecules of air. That is an increase certainly but human contributions were less than one of those molecules. This is like trying to wind with a chain link fence.
Besides, nobody has disputed that there has been a modest change in atmospheric carbon dioxide. What that MEANS is what is open for debate.
BTW atmospheric carbon dioxide levels are measured from Mona Loa observatory, which sits on the lip of an active volcano. You can't make this stuff up.
This was a nice try but in the end it still comes down to a vivid imagination and confident assertions without proper scientific underpinning.

Article says that the southern oceans are becoming less salty. They admit they don't know why this is happening (fresh water is being added to the northern oceans, not so much the southern ones), or to what specific degree it's happening, or why it will create climate disaster, or why exactly it will create climate disaster, only that it will create climate disaster.

Exactly Bill; they don't know half as much as they pretend to know. BTW IF they could pin the desalinization of the southern oceans on melting ice caps they would do it but the reality is the Antarctic ice has actually grown, not shrunk, so it's not that.
But why let the dearth of knowledge get in the way of a good end of the world story...

Options to Fix the SCOTUS Tariff Ruling
Timothy Birdnow
Here are some options Justice Kavanaugh offered the Trump Administration to fix the revocation of his tariffs by the Supereme Joke.
• Trade Expansion Act of 1962 - expanded use of Section 232.
• Trade Act of 1974 Sections 122, 201 and 301.
Tariff Act of 1930 - Section 338.
Kavanaugh suggested in the minority opinion that if Trump imposes the same tariffs based on these the courts will have a hard time refusing him. But then, the RINO wing of the court was simply posturing to score brownie points with the media and the Democrats.

The prophets do not speak on behalf of the oppressed; they speak n behalf of the God who 'secures justice for the poor and upholds the cause of the needy' (Psalm 140:12). This pattern stands in contrast to trends in contemporary society that show a tendency to judge people based on their social group, not on their behavior." Christopher Watkin, Biblical Critical Theory, 301.

Village Idiots
Timothy Birdnow
He joins such luminaries as Faux Indian Elizabeth "Big Smelly Sqwah" Warren or "stuttering" Joe Biden and a host of fake soldiers and spray on tan black folks in the Democratic Party.
The Democrats increasingly resemble the Village People, only they weren't serious about their faux identities.

My brother-in-law was rather severley dsylexic. He also had two PhD's and was a popular and respected physycist at Midwest Research Institute. My nephew, son of a different sister, is also dyslexic. At least she claims he is. I think he's just a complete idiot. On a side note, I was told yesterday by the doctor that the fractured bone in my neck does not need surgery. The one in my lower spine is still an open question. When you are 82 years old, don't fall.

Dyslexia is a real thing, no question Bill. And some of those who have th problem are quite brilliant.
Glad you dont need surgery; at your age that would be really tough. Hopefully you'll avoid any of it and recover o.k. You have my prayers my friend!
