Minneapolis Monster Mayor

Timothy Birdnow

"I have heard about a whole lot of hate that's being directed at our trans community,"

"Anybody who is using this as an opportunity to villainize our trans community or any other community out there has lost their sense of common humanity. We should not be operating out of a place of hate for anyone. We should be operating from a place of love for our kids."

Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey

So yet another transsexual attempts mass murder and we are suppoed to ignore the common thread "out of decency". Where was this fellow's decency when he murdered two small children and injured many more? Where was the Nashville shooters?

But we are supposed to blind ourselves to the facts on the ground because trans are protected, the new golden children, and none had better dare point this violence among trannies out. It's a taboo to the Left.

Frey also said this was not a "time for prayer" and mocked those who wanted to pray. If it's not a time for prayer, when is? It's the PERFECT time to pray, for the souls of the dead children, for the injured, for those left behind - and for the trans themselves who are blinded and twisted by the snares of Satan and the modern Left.

This man shows himself to be a monster. He may not have killed anyone but he's perfectly content with those deaths; it gives him something to use to promote gun control.

In some ways liberals are more monstrous than murderers. You can at least see a murderer and know what he is when he's killing people. Liberals are more like the serpent, slithering around and catching everyonee from behind. And their reach is far longer than some gunmans.

CDC Boss Won't Go Quietly

Timothy Birdnow

Trump appointed this woman and the Senate confirmed her. Now she's refusing to leave her post as head of the CDC.

howdown at CDC as director refuses to leave post, amid pressure from Trump administration

Trump's first pick was against many vaccinations and so the Senate refused to confirm him. This cick claimed all along to be a pro-vax type.

But Robert Kennedy Jr. has every right to fire her; he's her boss. She's challenging Kennedy's right to do so even though Trump himself has given her the ax. No doubt some Biden judge will issue an injunction in her favor too.

Trump is a bad judge of character. He made some terrible appointments in his last term and then he's put losers like this gal in positions of power. When will he learn?

Chicago Style

Timothy Birdnow

Illinois Governor J.B. "Chubster NO Neck" Pritzker has joined tthe mayor of Chicago "Let's Go" Brandon Johnson in wishing away the National Guard being deployed to clean up crime in Chicago.

From the Daily Caller:

Democrat Illinois Gov. JB Pritzker and Democrat Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson held a press conference Monday, pleading with President Donald Trump not to send the National Guard into Chicago to address crime.

While speaking with the press on Friday, Trump said he was considering sending National Guard troops to Chicago after deploying them in Washington, D.C., on Aug. 11. Addressing the press and public, Pritzker spoke before Johnson to say that while city leaders sometimes disagree, they had come together to push back on the president’s initiative.

"Look at the people assembled before you today, behind me,” Pritzker said. "This is a full cross-section of Chicago’s leaders from the business world, the faith community, law enforcement, education, community organizations, and more. We sometimes disagree on how to effectively solve the many challenges that our state and our city face on a daily basis. But today we are standing here united, in public, in front of the cameras, unafraid to tell the president that his proposed actions will make our jobs harder and the lives of our residents worse.”

"Earlier today in the Oval Office, Donald Trump looked at the assembled cameras and asked for me personally to say, ‘Mr. President, can you do us the honor of protecting our city?’ Instead, I say, Mr. President, do not come to Chicago. You are neither wanted here nor needed here. Your remarks about this effort over the last several weeks have betrayed a continuing slip in your mental faculties and are not fit for the auspicious office that you occupy,” Pritzker added.

In an attempt to convince the public that Chicago’s crime is under control, Pritzker visited a noticeably low-crime area of the city earlier on Monday. The Democratic governor posted a video to his X account showing the nicer part of the city as he insisted that Chicago is in no way a "hellhole.

So stopping crime will make Chicago resident's lives "worse". Man, he has a strange idea of what constitutes a good life. Last I checked a bullet whizzing past your head is not a mark of the good life.

And yes it may make THEIR jobs harder; they basically aren't doing them now. If Trump comes to town they will actually have to get off their duffs and do them.

It will DEFINITELY make the lives of criminals harder; I suppose I can give him that. Oh, the poor criminals! They have to make a living too! Now they'll wind up on government welfare programs!

Let me tell you something Mr. Prritzker; if you turn down this offer of the National Guard you wholly own the crime and murders in Chicago. You show yourself for what you are - a partisan hack who doesn't give a flying hoot about the citizenry. You show yourself to care more about criminals and illegal aliens and rapists and murderers than about the good people you allegedly represent with your billions of dollars that allowed you to buy the Governor's mansion in Springfield. If you turn this down you will never, ever, ever get beyond the boundaries of Illinois; any aspirations of higher office are finished. You might even be finished in Illinois.

Nobody in their right mind fights against law and order. Yet here we have this man leading the charge for anarchy and chaos and he doesn't see anything wrong with that. Who is mentally unbalanced?

Mayor Let's Go Brandon says:

"We are being targeted because of who we are as a city more than anything else. We are a shining example of what happens when working people stand together."

I suppoose that is true; Trump is targeting Democrats. But why? Because they all employ the soft-on-crime approach in their cities and refuse to enforce the laws. Most of America's crime occurs in Democrat-controlled cities.

And do not tell me crime is going down - there is absolutely no way that is the case and Pritzker knows it. Democrat cities simply stopped reporting crime so as to give the illusion it's going down. We call that gaslighting.

If crime is going down why is Chicago the murder capital of America for the third straight year now?

They SAY it has gone down and the Daily Caller article cites statistics suggesting it is so, but I challenge those stats. The city has done nothing to make that so. What policy changes can they point to that would explain a drop in crime? Nothing and things like that don't just happen by themselves.

At any rate, in honor of Pritzker and Johnson, I give you this parody of Chicago by Graham Nash:

Chicago Style

So your brother's tagged and bagged
and they've laid him in the morgue
don''t you dare come to Chicago Mr. Trump
In a land that's full of gangsters
you can't expect things to be fair
stay away from our Chicago, don't you bring the Guardsmen here

We have wrecked our city
we'll rearrange your face
they're dying
Rest in Peace

Politicians mug for cameras
demand no one comes up here
Don't you dare come to Chicago we cannot abide
We won't ask the President  to help us
we'll just shoot his other ear
we can't let him fix our problems cause he's on the other side

We have wrecked our city
we'll rearrange your face
they're dying
Rest in Peace

(We can change) Yes, we can change the world
(Rearrange) Rearrange the world (It's dying)
If you believe in justice (It's dying)
And if you believe in freedom (It's dying)
Let a man live his own life (It's dying)
Rules and regulations, who needs them?
Open up the door for crooks and for whores
they're all dying

We fear people will be free and not need us
we dread the day comes soon
Don't you dare come to Chicago, hide your face
from the bodies in Lake Michigan
to the sandy lake shore dunes
Don't you dare come to Chicago, you'll expose our deep disgrace

We have wrecked our city
we'll rearrange your face
they're dying
Rest in Peace

(We can change) Yes, we can change the world
(Rearrange) Rearrange the world (It's dying)
If you believe in justice (It's dying)
And if you believe in freedom (It's dying)
Let a man live his own life (It's dying)
Rules and regulations, who needs them?
Open up the door for crooks and for whores
they're all dying

Ex-Spiring

Timothy Birdnow

A natural gas leak was the likely cause of a house explosion that completely wrecked five houses and damaged many others in a suburban community in St. Louis county. Five people were injured.

Florissant is a large city in north St. Louis County (St. Louis city is not in St. Louis county, by the way, but is a free city, it's own county) and I grew up not far from there. The blast occurred along the Florissant/Black Jack boundary.

The cause of the explosion is unclear but police ruled out terrorism or meth cooking and have tentatively tagged it as a natural gas leak.

Spire is the gas company (which took over for Laclede Gas) and they have gone on a rampage, tearing up whole blocks of street as they have revamped their pipes and whatnot. I despise them, as I despised Laclede before them; they are high-handed and abusive. I just had a big problem with them; they wanted to send a man in to check the meter to see if it needed changing and he did and said everything was fine, I wouldn't see them for another three years. I kept getting letters from Spire saying I needed to let a man in to check the meter AFTER it had been checked. One day I got in the shower and had no hot water - they turned my gas off because I "didn't comply" with their order when in fact I had. When I called they said "oh, that was to CHECK your meter but we also want to replace it with a new meter". What they want to do is replace it with a "smart" meter so they can throttle back my gas usage if they so desire. This had nothing to do with safety but with their desire to exert greater control over their customers. A pox upon them!

So this is the kind of incompetence and bureaucratic malaise that gave us exploding houses in Florissant.

This also tells me that America truly is becoming a third world nation, unable to do the most basic things any longer do to the politicization of every aspect of life. Spire is too busy harassing good-paying customers and not actually checking the safety of the product they are sending into the world.

No doub they will ask for a rate increase to cover the cost of being more vigilant in the future - and many politicians will be all for that in their scramble to make it appear they are doing something about the incompetence of Spire.

So now customers of Spire and ex-Spiring. That is the America Joe Biden and the liberals have wrought.

Another Church Shooting, In Minneapolis

Dana Mathewson, with hat tip to John Hinderaker of Power Line

This morning (August 27) there was a mass shooting at a church school in south Minneapolis. It took place in a neighborhood where I once lived. The school that was attacked, Annunciation Roman Catholic Church, is where we would have sent our youngest child if we had stayed in the city. Reports on the shooting here. Two children were killed and 17 were wounded. The murderer shot through a stained glass window into the church, I take it more or less at random. The murderer committed suicide.

The shooter has been identified as Robin Westman, formerly Robert Westman. Robert apparently changed his name to Robin in 2020.

...

Westman had attended Annunciation, and his mother worked at Annunciation Church, which runs the adjacent school.

So it is another mass shooting crime committed by a trans person. It appears that trans people commit such crimes at a rate disproportionate to their numbers. There are at least two possible reasons for this. One, gender dysphoria is a severe mental illness which now is not being treated as mental illness, but rather is being humored and encouraged. Two, trans people who transition are subjected to intense chemical regimens that may well impact behavior or aggravate pre-existing mental illness.

The trans movement has been a disaster in every way and should be re-examined from the ground up.

-----------------------------------------------

See here https://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2025/08/another-trans-shooting.php  for complete article including embedded videos from X / Twitter, which are extremely disturbing.

Personal note from Dana: Annunciation is the "sister church" to Our Lady Of Peace, which is the church my wife and I attend and at which she is the pianist/organist. The two churches are just a few blocks apart, and the choirs from both churches sometimes collaborate on big services in happier times. The school counselor from OLP lost her son in the shooting.

Go woke go broke. We need to make an example of this Puta and her testosterone-free henchmen.

BTW after funding gay pride in Nashville and other cities she wound up on the board of Human Rights Campaign Advisory Council HRC, a homosexual lobbying group. She's a queer activist. How did someone like that wind up in charge of a piece of Americana like Cracker Barrel? Who thought it a good idea to hire such a person?

It would be a very, very good idea for Cracker Barrel to remedy this mistake and now.

Dombass: Tooth Walker Bolton

Timothy Birdnow

The Walrus attacks Trump's foreign policy over Russia:

Bilateral relationships have suffered considerable damage because of the fallout from the administration’s failing diplomacy. The longer India hangs out to dry, the worse the New Delhi-Washington relationship gets.https://t.co/on43OiOOXx

— John Bolton (@AmbJohnBolton) August 26, 2025

Who cares? India has been taking advantage of the U.S.for decades. And we really don't need anything from them except cheap call centers and H1B IT guys.

It is believed Bolton was using a homebrew server ala Hilary Clinton to hide his own duplicity. He stands accused of sending classified information to family members via said server. He clearly has been violating the Logan Act.

Bolton posted on his largely inactive X account:

"Russia has not changed its goal: drag Ukraine into a new Russian Empire. Moscow has demanded that Ukraine cede territory it already holds and the remainder of Donetsk, which it has been unable to conquer. Zelensky will never do so,”

So waht? Have we changed OUR goals of dragging the Ukraine into the European/New World Order? Well, we have under Trump. But you notice Bolton offers no soluttions to this matter - just more warfare against the Russians.

A realist knows that the Ukrainians will have to cede at least some territory at this point. And it was the policy of men who think like John Bolton that led to this - not Trump's rather dovish approach. This thing could have been avoided had aggressive diplomacy been employed at the very beginning. Now both sides are angry and hardened.

It should be pointed out that according to the United Nations charter ArticleI sec. 2 states quite plainly that a people have the right of self-determination, and the people of the Dombas region are ethnically Russian by and large - and they have voted to secede from the Ukraine and join the Russian Federation. While one may doubt the validity of a vote after being invaded it is still clear the Russian minority in the Ukraine has the right to self-determination under international law and thus the Ukrainian claim over the region has little more weight than does the Russian as far as international law is concerned. Perhaps there needs to be another vote, one monitored by the international community?

No doubt what Bolton wants is boots on the ground, thus triggering WWIII and perhaps a nuclear exchange. This for a country America has little actual interest in protecting.

Yes, we did give them a security guarantee back at the fall of the U.S.S.R. (Bill Clinton did that to make them give up their nuclear weapons - a foolish mistake trusting Der Schlichster.) But such internaitonal agreements are not intended to be eternal, and we have no real interests in the region.

I would add it was NATO belligerence that forced Russia's hand in the first place; NATO absorbed the former Warsaw Pact countries (in violation of a verbal agreement) and has even pushed into the Baltic States - part of the old Soviet Union. But Ukraine is different; it's one of "The Russias" along with Beloru and of course Russia proper. To the Russians it's rather like the British going into Texas in the 1830's; we would never have tolerated that. Russia still sees Ukraine as a renegade province. That the pro-Russian President Viktor Yanukovych was forced out by the CIA-inspired coup known as the Orange Revolution only sticks in their craw even more. They see the govenrment of Ukraine as a puppet regime for western bankers and NATO Eurotrash.

That doesn't make the Russians the good guys, but they have a legitimate point.

Also, NATO military expansion, such as anti-ballistic missiles in Poland and Hungary and such places, was clearly provocative to them. They felt they needed a buffer and now.

Putin invaded Georgia for the same reasons; NaTO was sniffing around that Asian country which has no ties to the North Atlantic.

Bolton ignores all of this and simply argues for war, war, war. It's his response to any stimulus.

Trump IS going to have a hard time negotiating a settlement now, primarily because both sides have their backs up. Any negotiated settlement will require compromise, and that compromise will be seen as a surrender by at least some in the respective countries.

It was Bolton and people like him who demanded Russian surrender that led to this situation. Russia could probably have been pressured out as long as Putin had something to show the Lyubi (people) back home. But that's not what Biden insisted on, and no doubt the Walrus was all in on this policy demanding surrender. Putin dare not surrender or appear to have; it means his life and he's not going to wind up in a spider hole like Saddam Hussein. Oh, and if Putin goes most of the people waiting in the wings are even nastier.

The Eskimo called walruses "tooth walkers". That seems a fitting moniker for Mr. Bolton. He is all mouth and blubber. (BTW the new P.C. term for Eskimo is Innuit and we are shamed into using it, but it's a misnomer as Innuit are just one tribe of Arctic dweller along with the Siberian and Alaskan Yupik, and Iñupiat peoples. Eskimo is more inclusive and should be used. If the PC police don't like that too bad.)

Trump Ends Lawfare Against GCU

Timothy Birdnow

In his quest to wipe out every vestige of conservative Christian thought Joe Biden had his Federal Trade Commission launch a lawsuit to ruin Grand Canyon University, a private on-line Christian college. The Trump Administration just dropped the suit.

Biden had stripped them of their tax exempt status in 2019 and fined them $37 million dollars to compel them to join the New World Order. The Biden FTC claimed GCU used "deceptive business practices" with students, a claim more true of the Administration than of the Christian university.

While the Trump Administration hs yet to restore GCU's tax exempt status they have dismissed the lawsuits.

This was clearly nothing but an attempt to silence those with whom the Administration disagreed. It was pure censorship.

Reddening Arizona

Timothy Birdnow

Good news; the GOP is growing by leaps and bounds in the swing state of Arizona.

Arizona used to be solidly Republican but an influx of Californians, eager to flee the radical government of the Golden State but still tied to their Progressive ideals, along with a huge influx of greedy illegal aliens, has flipped the state blue, or purple anyway, in recent years.

But that appears to be over:

Republicans outpaced Democrats by a margin of 7 percent for the second quarter of 2025, Arizona Secretary of State Adrian Fontes – a Democrat – revealed in a new report of voter registration numbers. The move to the Right was seen statewide and in Maricopa County, the largest and most influential of the state’s 15 counties.

Despite the perception of Arizona becoming more Democratic due to Democrats winning major offices since 2020, Republicans have been steadily expanding their voter registration advantage over Democrats.

The new figures reveal that Republicans are at 35.74 percent of the electorate statewide compared to 28.41 percent for Democrats. Independents maintained their lead over Democrats as well, at 34.13 percent. The figures for Maricopa County almost exactly mirror the state figures, with Republicans at 35.29 percent and Democrats at 28.01 percent. Independents are at 34.87 percent.

In 2020, at the time of the general election, Republicans made up only 35.24 percent of statewide registered voters, just 3 percent more than Democrats at 32.20 percent. In Maricopa County, Republicans constituted 35.26 percent, while Democrats constituted 31.37 percent, a difference of less than 4 points.

Rachel Alexander is a native Arizonan and knows of what she speaks.

If we flip Arizona and perhaps Nevada which is also showing signs of going Republican we put ourselves in a much better position to further drive the Democrats down the path of the Whigs or Federalists.

Putting the Cracker back in Cracker Barrel

Timothy Birdnow

Cracker Barrel has cracked from the pressure and restored Uncle Hershell to his rightful place next to the barrel on the company logo.

Go woke go broke you pinko hillbillies!

Now the feminist CEO who made this disastrous decision needs to seek other employment.

I still plan to punish them; I'll choose Bob Evans over Cracker Barrel if and when I go to eat country food in the future. They have showed their hand and need to face more than just a quick backlash. They need to be made an example of, just like Bud Lite.

BTW One of their major board members warned them[/link[ of the utter stupidity of this hare-brained scheme last fall but his admonition fell on deaf ears. They wanted to "get with the times" and wound up getting with the tombs.

Truth Decay: Dino's Flourished in High CO)2 Levels

Timothy Birdnow

Why lookie here; forensic archaeological dentistry confirms what we "climate change deniars" have said all along - the Earth's atmosphere had far more carbon dioxide in the past than now.

A surprising new line of evidence is providing fresh insights into Earth’s ancient climate. Fossilized dinosaur teeth reveal that the atmosphere during the Mesozoic era (between 252 and 66 million years ago) contained much higher levels of carbon dioxide than today. This conclusion comes from a study led by researchers at the Universities of Göttingen, Mainz, and Bochum, who examined oxygen isotopes preserved in tooth enamel. Their approach relies on a newly developed technique that offers exciting opportunities for studying Earth’s climate history.

The analysis also showed that global photosynthesis, the process by which plants convert sunlight into energy, was occurring at about twice the rate seen today. According to the researchers, this surge in plant activity likely played a role in shaping the highly dynamic climate that existed during the time of the dinosaurs. The team’s findings were published in the journal PNAS.

Naturally; they had more of what plants like to convert sunlight to energy. Plants love carbon dioxide and in fact greenhouses are often injected with high doses of it to help the plants grown.

The article continues:

To reach these results, the scientists studied dinosaur teeth unearthed in North America, Africa, and Europe from both the late Jurassic and late Cretaceous periods. Tooth enamel, one of the hardest and most resilient biological substances, preserves oxygen isotope signatures that record what dinosaurs inhaled as they breathed. Because the ratio of oxygen isotopes is influenced by atmospheric carbon dioxide and plant photosynthesis, these traces provide a valuable window into both climate conditions and vegetation during the age of the dinosaurs.

In the late Jurassic period, around 150 million years ago, the air contained around four times as much carbon dioxide as it did before industrialization – that is, before humans started emitting large quantities of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.

And in the late Cretaceous period, around 73 to 66 million years ago, the level was three times as high as today. Individual teeth from two dinosaurs – Tyrannosaurus rex and another known as Kaatedocus siberi which is related to Diplodocus – contained a strikingly unusual composition of oxygen isotopes.

Notice the wording "air contained around four times as much carbon dioxide as it did before industrialization". What they fail to say is it STILL contained far, far more c02 than oxygen then. But the implications were obvious to the author of this article and so he worded it to suggest we are close to the carbon dioxide levels now.

The implications are obvious; atmospheric carbon dioxide rises and falls of it's own accord and there is every reason to believe the small increase in atmospheric co2 in the modern Holocene is entirely driven by natural causes and not by the release of carbon dioxide from industrial emissions and automobiles.

In fact the age of the Dinosaurs might well have ended when carbon dioxide levels dropped TOO low. We are certainly in an age with some of the lowest co2 levels in geological history; the Dinos evolved to breath air with lots of co2. It's much like putting an alligator in the desert; he'll eventually die, even though he's capable of living on land. And even if it didn't directly hurt the dinos it may well have disrupted the food chain.

But, but, but...you say the Chicxulub asteroid caused a lot of carbon dioxide outgassing! True, but it also saw a huge amount of sulphur released, which may well have bound up the co2 into calcium carbonate (forming limestone in the seas) and it may have bound up with watter vapor to produce methane. (Wish I could talk to Richard Cronin about this; he's the geochemist.)

At any rate it's clear that it's not clear at all. But the notion that the planet cannot survive a modest increase (and by modest I mean just the addition of one molecule of carbon dioxide for every ten thousand molecules of air) is ridiculous. The planet actually did better with higher co2. CO2 is the stuff of life, even for animals (as it is the building blocks of carbohydrates - the stuff of which we are composed.)

BTW paleontologists believe dinosaurs had lungs similar to birds, far more efficient than Mammals. Birds can extract 25% more oxygen from air than can mammals (making them better adapted for flying where the air is thin than, say, bats). It may well be they actually did better with higher levels of co2; they weren't equipped to handle higher levels of oxygen. Birds have air sacs and when they exhale their bodies harvest more oxygen from those sacs. It may well be higher carbon dioxide makes those sacs work more efficiently. In humans we need some carbon dioxide in the air for a variety of reasons. Pure oxygen makes us sick. In fact it poisons our system; it slows our breathing and heart rates to dangerous levels. We NEED co2 and nitrogen in our air. It may be birds - and by extension dinosaurs - need it too. Dinosaurs may have needed more of it. I know I'm taking a shot in the dark but perhaps it is so. I wonder if it's not like cutting your whiskey with water. Frankly, in nature there are all sorts of things we need to survive that, in too concentrated a form, will kill us. Potassium for instance, is necessary for life but too much stops our hearts (it's what they inject into condemned criminals). Maybe the extra co2 was needed by the Dynosaurs.

At any rate, even if that is not so it still illustrates how the bosphere flourished in a higher carbon-dioxide atmosphere. Just another nail in the Gang Green's War of the Worlds scare.

Proof of the Medieval Warming Period

Timothy Birdnow

So, now they are telling us drought ended the Mayan civilization in the Yucatan. Very interesting.

Most Mayan cities were abandoned between 800 and 950 AD. That was during the Medieval Warming Period. Now, Climate Change true believers hate the Medieval WArming Period and have tried very hard to say it was just a European phenomenon but tthis strongly suggests otherwise. The Yucatan area was under very unusual precipitation patterns and that suggests changes to the jet stream.

I would point out that at this time the Mound Builders aka the Mississippians were busily constructing their own civilization, with Cahokia as their capital (everyone who gets around St. Louis should visit Cahokia Mounds to see the remnants of this once-great civilization). Cahokia flourished because it was warmer and crops grew better in the alluvial soil of the Mississippi valley. That civilization flourished wsith the MWP and died with the coming of the Little Ice Age. By the time the Turks seized Constantinople Cahokia was completely abandoned (it was entirely empty by 1400 or so.) It became a place of legends among the native Americans and in fact few wanted to live anywhere near it.

In South America The Chimú saw their civilization flourish between 900 and 1470 - conveniently collapsing at the tail end of the Medieval Warming Period. And the Incans were weakened by civil war, a civil war that no doubt was driven in part by the warming at the end of a cold snap.

I could go on, from the rise of the Mongols to the explosion of the Arabs and elsewhere. The fact is the climate changed and grew cold world-wide. This article is just more proof of that.

Demography is Destiny

Timothy Birdnow

Don't get too excited by this; while the population shift gives an immediate benefit to the GOP these people aren't leaving their political philosophy but their states. I doubt they are going to change how they vote. In a short time they will start asserting power over these Republican states and they will perhaps flip them blue.

NYT Predicts ‘Nightmare Scenario’ for Democrats if Population Projections Hold

We've seen this in many places - Colorado, Arizona, New Mexico, etc. Texas, for all it's cowboyswagger, is only pink, not truly red, and with the influx of techies from California as well as hipsters intto Austin we may see Texas flip in the years to come. Ditto Tennessee. And Florida just flipped but Florida has so much to offer - and New York is emptying out into Florida - that it may switch back. People know they are leaving a bad situation but not WHY the situation is bad. Most will continue to vote as they always have, only now they are thrreatening to kill the golden-egg laying goose.

Why don't liberals move to other Blue states? Because they are just as bad. Always it's the "wrong people" running things, these liberal dopes believe. If they can take over another place and just start fresh...

Still it's delightful to watch the Democrats sweat.

From the New York Times article (which is the genesis of the Lifesitenews article):

"The year is 2032. Studying the Electoral College map, a Democratic presidential candidate can no longer plan to sweep New Hampshire, Minnesota and the "blue wall” battlegrounds of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin and win the White House. A victory in the swing state of Nevada would not help, either.

That is the nightmare scenario many Democratic Party insiders see playing out if current U.S. population projections hold.

This is what eventually happens when you put special interests ahead of the mainstrem population. Lose the people and you lose power. The Democrats have long known this too but figured the media would run cover for them as they pulled all manner of dirty tricks to make it appear they are stronger than they really are (such as heavy gerrymandering, mail in voting, etc. ) They have relied on gaslighting to make people believe they were the future - all the while they've been quietly losing their power. Eventually someone peeks behind the facade of a Potemkin Village.

But don't count them out. There are plenty of dirty tricks left in their bag.

Trump EO on Flag Burning

Timothy Birdnow

Donald Trump has authorized the DOJ to investigate flag burning in an executive order he recently signed.

The Supreme Court ruled flag burning is protected speech in a 1989 ruling. But Trump is arguing it is not always protected, most especially where it incites violence. It is tantamout to "fighting words", which the Court has ruled is an exception to free speech protections.

Trump aslo said foreigners could have their visas revoked and face deportation, something guaranteed not to sit well with the spread-legs-for-alien Left.

SCOTUS ruled in a 5-4 vote that flag burning was protected speech. In that ruling Justice William Brennan authored a majority opinion which Justices Thurgood Marshall, Harry Blackmun, Antonin Scalia, and Anthony Kennedy concurring (Scalia must have had one too many Manhattans at lunch that day.) So it was a partisan vote except for Scalia, who no doubt ruled based on fears of any restrictions on free speech.

It is, perhaps, time to revisit this. Certainly that is what Trump is intending; he knows the lower courts will strike this down and it will wind up at SCOTUS. At a minimum he is getting a lot of good publicity (most Americans think flag burning is despicable) and he might prevail after all. I wouldn't want to rely on Roberts and Barret though.

In the end this is a winning issue. You may remember Geoerge H. W. Bush was elected on this issue among some others; the public was solidly behind laws against flag burning. While those numbers may have changed some, it's still a solid majority that thinks flag burning should be illegal. Burning the American flag is not so much a protest against any policy of the nation but a big F-U to the nation itself. It's a rejection of our hospitality and our very identity. It's no different than openly calling a black person an N. Fighting words.

Now I rather do not think it should be illegal myself, but I also think anyone who does it and if it leads to violence then there should be charges of mayhem or other such. You can't poke your finger in someone's eye purposely and expect to be afforded the protections of the United States, not when you just told the United States to go ef themselves.

At any rate I doubt Trump will win this but he's going to win in the court of public opinion, and in some ways that is even better. In some ways.

This will be interesting. And it's always fun watching liberal heads explode.

Throwing Out the Soul of CrackerBarrel

Timothy Birdnow

Cracker Barrel is
now beggin it's customers not to Budlite them.

The statement reads in part:

"If the last few days have shown us anything, it's how deeply people care about Cracker Barrel. We're truly grateful for your heartfelt voices," Cracker Barrel said. "You've also shown us that we could've done a better job sharing who we are and who we'll always be.

And yet they are still not promising to keep Cracker Barrel as it was; they are insistent on changing it, maiking it "modern country" and essentially an entity of "equity".

They continue:

"While our logo and remodels may be making headlines, our bigger focus is still right where it belongs… in the kitchen and on your plate: serving generous portions of the food you crave at fair prices and doing it with the kind of country hospitality that brightens your days and creates lasting memories," Cracker Barrel said. "Meatloaf, chicken n' dumplins, country fried steak, sides that taste like Sunday supper, and yes, the world's best pancakes, they're all still here, with a few new dishes joining the menu.

What they aren't saying is they are eliminating the old cracker from the Cracker Barrel logo - the old country white dude. There was and remains no reason to do that except as part of "outreach" to women and minorities aka wokeness.

I've also read they planned on some other changes, like putting rainbow flags on the walls and other bows to the post modernist madness.

Cracker Barrel isn't just selling food, nor is it just selling beads and trinkets in their store; it's selling nostalgia. It feels like a throwback to an earlier, simpler time. And part of nostalgia is it doesn't change; it's a fixed point in our memories. "Updating" or "modernizing" a piece of nostalgia simply destroys it.

There were things at Cracker Barrel you could count on. The store, for instance, sold old candies that are no longer available. They sold old sodas you can't find. They sold games and toys that came from our childhood. Pure nostalgia.

And the food has already changed; the portion sizes shrunk down considerably. Time was I had to take most of a meal home, but the last time I was in a cracker barrel I ate it all; it was less than half the portions they used to give.

So the food has declined and now the atmosphere is going to decline to please some malcontented leftists. Can't have an old white guy on your logo! It was bad enough they forced the retirement of Aunt Jemimah and Uncle Ben; now they can't allow white mascots either.

The Left hates the past and does everything in their power to rewrite it. Disappearing remnants of that past is part of their war on the old ways. This is no differnt; "modernization" of Cracker Barrel is but a tool to make us forget our past, make us think that this diseased modern era is all there ever was.

We must believe America was wholly rotten since it's founding and only by eliminating all that was good can we they make us think that.

So I say let's smite them with great anger and furious wrath. Their stocks have already dropped by 13%; let's drop it down below 50%! They must be made to suffer for this, and the CEO, an obvious feminazi woman, must be forced out. Until she's gone and the others who made this decision we should not patronize this establishment. Bob Evans is just as good, go there.

Corporations must fear their customers more than they fear the loud-mouthed Left. Until they do they will continue to insult us because they have nothing to fear from us but a LOT to fear from the radical crazies.

BTW I found this in their own company website:

Uncle Herschel | The Soul of Cracker Barrel

The man on that logo that President and CEO Julie Felss Masino is kicking to the curb is none other than the "soul of Cracker Barrel" himself, Uncle Herschel. If they toss aside their own soul so easily how much more will they betray their customers? How much more will they betray America?

Canadian Gays CrossSwords

Timothy Birdnow

I love it when different group protected by the Left go at each-other!

Muslims shut down gay pride parade in Ottawa — In the name of Hamas.

To quote the Left's favorite victim Rodney King "can't we all just get along!"

The fact is the Left is NOT monolithic; it's a series of alliances between people with particular axes to grind. They hang together out of necessity. Anyone who knows the history knows this to be true; the communists immediately fell out with each-other after the Russian revolution, culminating with the Bolsheviks taking power over the other communists, whom the slaughtered. And even the Bolsheviks were at each-other's throats; look at Trotsky, who died in Mexico with an icepick in his eye. Or look at Zinoviev and Kamenev, both staunch allies of Stalin until they weren't. Both were executve by firing squad.

The Left always eats their own in the end.

So it's jolly good fun watching the Muzzie gays in Canada shut down the rest of the gays in Canada. That shows were are winning.
