A quick thought on the Epstein files; is the Administration waiting to release more to control the news cycle closer to the next election? Trump IS a master at that.
Laura Trump thinks more is coming.
It would make sense to play possum and wait until the information can be most effectively exploited. Why dribble this stuff out little by little when you can drop it as a huge bombshell at a critical time? Then you can get a special counsel to take the investigation over and bring indictments and more importantly expose the rot and corruption.
I think Bondi and Patel and Bongino are lying to us. But the big question is why. I see a number of reasons why, such as not tipping their hand while they build cases against people. The politics of this is another matter that makes a difference. Trump is building up pressure, pressure that will be released orgasmically if and when indictments come or a special prosecutor is appointed. Then everyone will be happy (but the Democrats) and then the Democrats will be backed into a corner, lashing out at all of this and looking guilty. It would actually be a sound strategy.
I hope that is the case.

Arkansas grows better ones anyway.
The Epoch Times US Imposes 17 Percent Tariff on Fresh Tomato Imports From Mexico
On the other hand Mexican tomatoes are available before and after Arkansas tomatoes are out of season. It's going to be tough to source alternative sources of tomatoes at that time.
The Administration is socking Mexico with a 17% tariff on the fruit, which is a staple in Italian and Mexican dishes.

Musk is another Ross Perot!
"Suddenly, Republicans’ Lead Is Gone”: GOP Pollster Describes How Musk’s America Party Changes Midterms
I never trusted Musk. Now I have good reason. He has to know this will hand power to the Democrats, who will reverse EVERYTHING he did.
FTA:
Musk said he’s launching a third political party. He also said that "when it comes to bankrupting” the country "with waste & graft, we live in a one-party system, not a democracy.” During an appearance on "The Arena,” Anderson said Musk’s new political project is quietly eroding the GOP’s midterm edge and threatens to siphon off just enough voters to tip the balance in key battlegrounds.
"But, interestingly, we‘ve been talking about the Elon Musk of it all. I asked voters in some recent polling who would you vote for in the midterm, Republican or Democrat? Republicans are actually slightly ahead on that question, even though we‘ve talked about, oh, [what] the Big Beautiful Bill is going to do. Republicans are still in good shape, I think, heading into that midterm over a year from now,” Anderson said.
"But when we add the America Party in as an option, it doesn‘t do very well. But suddenly Republicans’ lead is gone. Just a couple of points here and there on the edges. But this is a game of inches to try to win the House or hang on to the Senate.”
Anderson said the GOP can’t afford to lose even a sliver of its base heading into a midterm cycle defined by turnout battles. She said that disaffected MAGA voters aren’t likely to back Democrats but could still cause damage by staying home or drifting elsewhere
Siphon off just one or two percent and the Democrats take Congress, and with that everything evil comes right back; they will restore every program Trump slashed, will restart the investigations, the lawfare, the whole nine yards. Musk is looking to be not just a spoilerbuta despoiler of all America.
Right now unity is more important than anything else. I've long flirted with third party, and in fact thought at one time it might be worth doing to wake the GOOP,but now is not the time. We are getting most of what we want and to throw that away in search of all we want is beyond stupid. There needs to be a new term for that level of idiocy.
The Left would never make that mistake, at least not until now.
In the Larry Niven/Jerry Pournelle S-F novels "The Mote in God's Eye" and the sequel "The Gripping Hand" the alien Moties have a polemic tale about Crazy Eddie, the guy who does the very wrong thing at the most critical of times. Musk has gone Crazy Eddie.
And if we lose this midterm we lose it all. THIS is our last hope, our final chance before it all falls apart.
If Musk is unhappy with the OBcubed law he should primary those who voted for it - but within the GOP. Taking his ball and going home is just not a reasonable option. Of course Musk is losing a fortune in EV subsidies for Tesla, and that may well be the main impetus for him in this. He's going scorched-Earth. Watch for him to cozy up with the Democrats soon.
America stands at a precipice. Crazy Eddie Musk wants us all to jump off the cliff.

Here is an interesting story about how the Earth's magnetic field cycles influence our planetary oxygen levels.
What I find interesting is, if oxygen is dependent on the magnetic field, what of atmospheric CO2? Our magnetic field is crapping out right now, and that means in the core of the planet itself. Could this not lead to more carbon dioxide outgassing? Maybe our estimates of atmospheric CO2 are not accurate as it may not be anthropogenic.
After all, both Venus and Mars have atmospheres composed almost entirely of CO2 and that without a single SUV or coal-fired electric plant. And Mars is much colder than it has any business being..
FTA:
"These two datasets are very similar,” said coauthor Weijia Kuang, a geophysicist at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. "Earth is the only known planet that supports complex life. The correlations we’ve found could help us to understand how life evolves and how it’s connected to the interior processes of the planet.”
When Kuang and colleagues analyzed the two separate datasets, they found that the planetary magnetic field has followed similar rising and falling patterns as oxygen in the atmosphere for nearly a half billion years, dating back to the Cambrian explosion, when complex life on Earth emerged.
Continents, Chemistry, and What’s Next
"This correlation raises the possibility that both the magnetic field strength and the atmospheric oxygen level are responding to a single underlying process, such as the movement of Earth’s continents,” said study coauthor Benjamin Mills, a biogeochemist at the University of Leeds.
The researchers hope to examine longer datasets to see if the correlation extends farther back in time. They also plan to investigate the historic abundance of other chemicals essential for life as we know it, such as nitrogen, to determine whether they also support these patterns.
I would add we are in a period with extremely low carbon dioxide levels. But we've seen a modest increase in the last century, just as the magnetic field has been crapping out. Coincidence?
If oxygen outgassing has been reduced then we would see a rise in CO2. It's inevitable.
BTW the atmosphere rose from 280 parts per MILLION of CO2 to 422 PPM. That sounds scary until you realize that it went from 0.028% 0.042% of the atmosphere. It's a trace gas. We now have four molecules out of every ten thousand rather than 2.6 molecules in the atmosphere.
Also, we only measure atmospheric carbon dioxide at Mauna Loa observatory, which sits on the lip of an active volcano. Go figure. (The percentages are tracked by the Keeling Curve. See here.)
If outgassing of oxygen has decreased we may well find more CO2 outgassing at a volcano. But then that would kill a great scary story to tell around the campfire with a flashlight in your face.

Of course it never occurs to them that it's the volcanoes causing the ice melt in the first place.
Antarctica’s Hidden Volcanoes: How Retreating Ice Might Ignite Hundreds of Explosive Eruptions
Also, with the relief in pressure from melting ice the volcanic activity may well subside; less pressure on the land forcing magma up through weak spots in the Earth. Imagine a tube of toothpaste; nothing flows out until you squeeze one end.
And of course most ice melt is in the West Antarctic Ice Sheet (WAIS) which FLOATS ON WATER. It'sthe Eastern sheet that sits on land.
It amazes me how they keep thumping that rotten watermelon of climate change. Nobody cares, nor should they.

Or it's just because it's not really warming at all.
Climate Anomalie: Researchers Unravel Mystery of Atlandic Cold Blob
The study authors blame it on melting of the Greenland ice sheet and the AtlanticMultidecadal Oscillation. They say the cold, less salinated meltwater sitting on top of the sea surface leads to drier air and this means more heat is transported up and out.
The obvious - that it really isn't a big deal but a natural fluctuation, much like the ozone hole in the Antarctic, never occurs to the hyperpartisan climate community. It's always Man's fault.

I'm sorry but how are we seeing milimeter-sized pebbles around another star? Does anyone else think these scientists are just making huge assumptions?
A Solar System Is Born: Planet-Forming "Pebbles” Detected Around Two Distant Young Stars
FTA:
Announced at the Royal Astronomical Society’s National Astronomy Meeting 2025 in Durham, the findings provide valuable insights into a previously elusive stage of planet development.
"These observations show that discs like DG Tau and HL Tau already contain large reservoirs of planet-forming pebbles out to at least Neptune-like orbits,” said researcher Dr Katie Hesterly, of the SKA Observatory.
"This is potentially enough to build planetary systems larger than our own solar system.”
How do they know for certain the images they are seeing is at DG Tau and HL Tau and not in the intervening 2.645 × 10¹5 miles?
Increasingly science isn't about knowlege but about creativity. The more a scientist can devise a grand concept with less than perfect accuracy the more attention he gets - and the more money his university or institute receives.
Here are the weasel words:
"Through these observations, we’re now able to investigate where solid material gathers in these discs, providing insight into one of the earliest stages of planet formation,” said Professor Greaves.
Soooo....theis is an unrepeateable experiment. Only one radio telescope can do it! No way to verify this.
Here's more on how it worked:
In one new e-MERLIN image of DG Tau’s disc, it reveals that centimetre-sized pebbles have already formed out to Neptune-like orbits, while a similar collection of planetary seeds has also been detected encircling HL Tau.
These discoveries offer an early glimpse of what the Square Kilometer Array (SKA) telescope in South Africa and Australia will uncover in the coming decade with its improved sensitivity and scale, paving the way to study protoplanetary discs across the galaxy in unprecedented detail.
I get that, but I also get there are undoubtedly many other things that could impact this radio telescope's readings. This is like measurements of the size of Pluto back in the forties; they were wildly variable (because Pluto had a satellite that couldn't be discerned from Pluto). So Pluto was believed to be bigger than Earth by some and much smaller by others; it seemed to change over time.
Yes, our technology is much better now than then, but I still wonder if we aren't being fooled here.
I am willing to admit it's possibly correct, and even celebrate it, but I wish scientists would qualify what they say rather than make these bold, confident claims. It may well be just a sensor error. (Anyone remember when they said neutrinos moved faster than light? Turns out it ws just an error in the lag time between the satellite and the ground station.)

Very good indeed!
The State Department fires remaining employees who worked on climate change
FTA:
"Without the office in place, there’s not a focal point for the organization of U.S. climate diplomacy, but that seems to be the point, right? To not have the U.S. engaging in climate diplomacy seems to be the policy goal of the administration,” Meyer said.
Indeed that IS the point; to stop giving the country away one treaty at a time. There never was a need for "skilled diplomacy" over a non-issue. These diplomats were just parasites, feeding off the average American.
Good riddance to bad rubbish.

The more you look at that Zohran Momdani the worse he appears.
Socialist NYC mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani’s dad sits on council of anti-Israel group, sympathetic of suicide bombers
New York City is 12% Jewish (over 1.5 million), the highest concentration of Jews in any major metropolitan area, even larger than in Israel. Yet their next mayor may well be a Jew-hating Muslim communist. You can't make this stuff up.
Of course New York City has a 9% Muslim population (750,000), making it the highest concentration of any city for Muslims as well.
And now we are seeing the rise of anti-semitism in New yYork, exactly as we see in Israel with the Palestinians. Or, for that matter, any place with a high Muslim population. When Muslims reach 10% of the population they immediately begin jihadi efforts to impose Sharia. New York is just about at that point.
American Jews had better wake up soon. They are going to find themselves in big trouble if they keep supporting their enemies in this way.

Here is something that caught my eye. Normally I ignore the "could be" stories; I prefer concrete facts over specualtion. But the reason this intrigued me is it might explain a number of odd things happening these days.
John Solomon told Steve Bannon on his show that the Trump DOJ is about to lower the boom, with multiple indictments of major figures in the coming months.
While the proof of the pudding is in the eating, I will say this may explain why the DOJ has said there is nothing to see with Jeffrey Epstein, that he committed suicide and there was no client's list (despite early statements by Pam Bondi that she had the lista nd was reviewing it.) This all makes sense; if she is building cases against these people, and they are on the Epstein list, it would be prudent to deny they had such a list so as not to tip their hand.
Solomon thinks a special prosecutor will be appointed soon. That is to get the case out of the D.C. Circuit, where the Democrats and Deep State are assured to win.
And, as the article points out, Dan Bongino has threatened to quit if the report is not released. There is also specualtion Bondi may be on her way out. Well, maybe Bondi herself could be the Special Prosecutor? She would have to resign from the DOJ, of course. Normally a Special Prosecutor cannot be a government employee, but Jack Smith, the guy who pursued Trump for years, was one before being assigned the Trump case so there is ample precedent. And this, of course, would provide a terrific opportunity to finish Smith's investigation for good. The Smith investigation was suspended, not ended permanently. If the Democrats insist Bondi not be the proseucitor then they undercut Smith's legitimacy permanently and Trump will win that one in court. Smith, while filing to drop charges against Trump, is still in a position to refile them at present.
At any rate we won't know if this is a tactical ruse or if they really are going to pursue this until charges are filed. Let us hope they go after the Deep State. They have ruled us long enough.

Boy this takes us back!
Trump Says He’s Considering Revoking Rosie O’Donnell’s Citizenship: "She’s a Threat to Humanity"
I have an old computer with Windows 98. It was my first computer. I downloaded a game on that back at the time where you had Rosie O'Donnell and Donald Trump squaring off. Rosie slashed at Trump with a long forked tongue while Trump's hair acted as HIS weapon, extending way out and hitting the obese O'Donnell. These two have been enemies for all this time now.
But that was back when people still liked O'Donnell; we've long since learned she's an angry, bitter, hate-filled woman. (BTW I once saw a tasteless cartoon where Rosie accidentally kills the orphans she took in by falling asleep and her enormous head crushing them. That was back in the early 2000nds I might add, so she's had the big head for all this time now.)
At any rate we now know who is the villain in this saga and it ain't Trump.

This is why we STILL have a huge fight on our hands. Oh, and President Trump's life is still in danger.
Report: Brennan’s Henchmen Still Entrenched at the CIA, Some Promoted After Authoring the Russian Hoax
Look, the embedding of radicals in the highest levels of national security didn't begin under Biden. It didn't begin under Obama, either. It's been quietly happening for over a quarter of a century, maybe more. John Brennan, for instance was hired by the CIA back in 1980 despite having answered on his security clearance that he voted for the Communist Party USA for President in 1976. This during the Cold War.
(I whenI graduated college in '87 almost none of my classmates in the Russian program got hired by national security and mostly for very chippy reasons; one girl had been an army brat and her father stationed in Germany and it turned out she had a second cousin or third cousing who lived in East Germany so they wouldn't hire her, yet they hired a guy who admitted to being a communist.)
Brennan also got promoted repeatedly despite his obvious infatuation with Islam. He once called Jihad a "holy struggle" in a speech, and also once made a "slip of the tongue" saying "my Muslim faith". This should have been enough to disqualify him from top-level positions at the CIA but he wound up being promoted to Director. A Communist Islamist Director.
And it's not just who he appointed; how many other John Brennans wormed their way into the Agency at the same time? I wonder if most of them are Quislings.
We need to completely dismantle the CIA (and FBI, and NSA). I doubt any of these rotten agencies are repairable.
Dwight D. Eisenhower warned about this very thing in his farewell address. He pointed out we were building a surveillance state of unprecedented proportions, and this, along with the "military industrial complex" and the big universities, could prove to be the end of a free and democratic nation. He was more prescient than anyone realized.
All of these groups metastasized in the sixties and seventies, and now pretty much rule the country. Most especially the espionage agencies, big tech, and the Ivy League.
If America is to be a free nation again we must rein in these groups. Trump is making some tentative first steps by cutting funding to the worst offenders in academica, and by appointing people not from the Deep State to the national security agencies. But it's too little; these people are too deeply inbedded.
They are just going to ride Trump out, if they don't assassinate him first, or find some new trap to ruin him. They are vipers.

So MAGA are the hateful ones?
ER Nurse Gleeful About Traumatic Injuries Among Trump-Voting Patients
There is nothing more hateful than a liberal. Anger and hatred is the cornerstone of the whole philosophical system.
This nurse suggested she would not treat patients who voted for Trump.
Her twitter account was allegedly suspended.
The Libs of Tik-tok are calling for her termination from her job. And they are probably right. I don't favor going after people's livelihood by and large but given her attitude I wouldn't want Nurse Ratched here handling MY I.V. drip.
And they cancel us, leading to many of our people being sacked, over the years. Turnabout is fair play.

American Pope Leo just called the world out over "climate change" in a rant saying the "world is burning".
He also "prayed Wednesday for the world to recognize the urgency of the climate crisis" while celebrating mass in the Vatican's new "ecological garden" and using prayers put forth by the late radical Pope Francis.
In other words it's meet the new boss, same as the old boss.
Climate change is neo-pagan, a worship of the Earth rather than God. It is worshipping the creature rather than the Creator. And it is not really a scientific theory so much as a "conventional wisdom" shibboleth, a "concensus" driven hypothesis not really supported by scientific evidence. It is anti-rational, and anti-humanist as it puts people last, encourages the impoverishment of human beings to "save the planet" a planet that requires no saving (except by God). Climate change is evidence of the hubris of Man, thinking we can "destroy the planet" simply by exhaling and by using fire - nature's own tool.
Oh, and there is no concensus. More scientists signed the Oregon Petition disputing climate change than have signed off on the theory throught the IPCC or anywhere else. These studies showing a 98% agreement on the issue are fake news; they ask "is the climate changing" which anyone would admit is so (it always has) and "do humans have something to do with it" which of course we do; land use changes affect the climate, for instance. Cut down a forest and you warm the planet to a minor degree. (Notingham England now sits where Sherwood Forest once stood, for example.) That is not what is meant by "climate change" - the updated version of Global Warming, which they chucked aftter realizing the climate really isn't warming much if at all. So now they moved it into the dishonest "climate change" so they can fit any unusual weather phenomenon into their paradigm. But it is supposed to be about the release of carbon dioxide into the atmosphere.
CO2 quickly loses it's greenhouse capabilities as it absorbes a specific bandwith of radiation. The most you wind up seeing is a 2* rise in temperature. The father of the theory, Roger Ravelle, thought this was more a curiosity than anything else. (He based his theory on the work of Svante Arrhenius, a nineteenth century scientist who elucidated the greenhouse effect.) Arrhenius' theory is correct under ideal greenhouse conditions (a greenhouse has no atmospheric mixing, no heat sinks, and a roof to hold the warmth in) but in so chaotic a system as the Earth's atmosphere it quickly breaks down.
We have massive oceans which act as heat sinks, and in fact carbon dioxide is taken out of the atmosphere and turned into calcium carbonate - limestone. Much of the limestone on the ocean floor is a result of carbon dioxide being absorbed by the oceans and reacting with minerals therein to create the limestone we see.
The Earth's heat balance is also influenced by cloud cover (we don't understand how clouds work even now) and by solar radiation output (including the bandwith of solar radiation) and by the Earth's wobble as it moves through space (called Milankovitch cycles) which change the amount of irradiation the Earth receives. There are also atmospheric aerosols, including human-produced aerosols. And then there are cosmic rays, which make clouds when they get through the atmosphere. In a period of heavy atmospheric activity we should see fewer clouds, and during a period of low activity the cosmic rays get through the solar wind and generate more. Also, the Earth receives different amounts of micrometeor bombardment. How does that influence climate?
None of this is taken into account by the climate models - it is all CO2 all day long! Now why is that?
Because CO2 allows government to tax and spend and to regulate - the wet dream of the Hamiltonian statist. And it also promotes international organizations, which many in the DAVO crowd see as the seeds to world government. It promotes redistribution of wealth by restricting the industrial emissions of First World countries and programs to help poor countries take "remedial action" to protect themselves from "climate change".
How many times did the Saychelles go to the U.N. and claim they were going to be under water? I remember one press conference where the Saychellians wore scuba gear to make this point. But you know what? They have built four new airports in recent years to handle all the tourist trade. They are building, not takiing remedial action to survive. This is true of most low-lying islands, which are actually growing, not shrinking as global warming theory says they should. And the wealthy around the world and big corporations are building more and more seaside properties. The people who actually have skin in the game aren't worried about "climate change". Those who say they are are worried more about getting their slice of the pie.
This is what Pope Leo is worrying about, in a world that stinks of moral rot and rebellion against God.
If Leo is worried about the world he should do his job and call out the immorality that is constant in the world. Why hasn't he called out homosexuality? Abortion? Transgenderism? Atheism? He remains strangely silent on those things, and those are things that the Bible quite plainly warns lead to eternal damnation. But Leo, like Francis before him, doesn't want to hurt the tender sensibilities of these powerful political groups so he goes for low-hanging fruit - Western Civilization and our industrial economy, which has produced a bounty of goods and services which provide for the entire world.
I was watching the show Survivorman the other day and he was deep in the jungles of New Guinnea. He was aided by a stone age people there. But guess what? They were all wearing cotton t-shirts, cotton shorts, and tennis shoes. Just forty years ago they would have been in loin cloths and barefoot. Their houses were better too. The poorest of the poor in this world are rich compared to the wealthiest Third Worlder of just a century ago. A rising tide raises all boats, and it has throughout the world.
That's why the Third World population continues to rise; we are GIVING them health care, medicines, better food, better clothes, cleaner water, and better housing. THIS is what our industrial civilization has blessed the whole world with, and this is what Leo is trashing.
Going green will bring poverty. I don't know if he is just too shallow to understand all this are willfully ignorant.
The Church's main job is the salvation of souls. That is her primary job. Yet we have had Popes who want to change that mission. Leo appears to be just another one of them.
Life is about the salvation of souls, nothing else. If the Church would stick to that mission God will take care of the rest. Pope Leo is promoting the deification of Man over God.
Like Nimrod, it looked so good until the tower of Babel fell and everyones language became confused. God will not be mocked.
ADDENDUM:
I was watching the show Evil where a protestant minister was trying to poach David from the Catholic Church. His pitch was all politica - all the political activism he could do free of the restraints from Rome. It was supposed to be a Satanic seduction in the show - and it hit the nail on the head. Pope Leo,like Francis before him, has been seduced by politics over the "hocus pocus" as the minister called the spiritual aspects of Christianity.

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez has called President Trump a rapist in just the same way George Stephanopoulos of ABC News and former Clinton hatchet man did (which cost his network $15 million in damages.
"Wow...who would have thought electing a rapist would complicate the release of the Epstein files?" the brain dead Ocasional Cortex tweeted on X.
President Trump has never been charged with rape or sodomy or any other sexual crime. AOC is referencing the civil suit against Mr. Trump by E. Jean Carroll for "sexual abuse" in which Mr. Trump, facing a completely hostile judge and jury, was found liable. It was not rape and Mr. Trump was never charged.
And the jury in the ABC News trial found Trump innocent of those charges as they gave Trump the damages when Stephanopoulos made the same allegation.
In America someone is innocent until proven guilty. And while we have freedom of speech, and we have every right to think such things, the fact remains you cannot publicly say them, especially if you are in media or government.
I hope Trump sues the daylights out of AOC.
