The real reason is because they don't want Trump to succeed. They are kicking the can down the road so as to keep the economy just simmering until it's too late for Trump to get any credit.
When Will The Fed Cut Interest Rates?
FTA:
When will the Fed begin cutting interest rates — and how far will rates fall this year? The short answers are "not soon” and "not much.”
The Fed is currently in a holding pattern, awaiting further clarity on the fallout from President Trump’s trade war. On the one hand, lower inflation readings would seem to warrant a lower interest rate target. Recall that the real (inflation-adjusted) federal funds rate target is equal to the nominal target set by the Fed minus expected inflation.
To the extent that they coincide with lower inflation expectations, lower inflation readings result in a passive tightening of monetary policy as they push the real federal funds rate target up. To prevent policy from tightening further in the face of falling inflation, the Fed must lower its federal funds rate target.
On the other hand, Fed officials are worried that higher tariff rates introduced by the Trump administration might unanchor inflation expectations. Fed Chair Jerome Powell summarized the anticipated effects of higher tariff rates at the post-meeting press conference last week:
If the large increases in tariffs that have been announced are sustained, they’re likely to generate a rise in inflation, a slowdown in economic growth, and an increase in unemployment. The effects on inflation could be short-lived, reflecting a one-time shift in the price level. It is also possible that the inflationary effects could instead be more persistent. Avoiding that outcome will depend on the size of the tariff effects, on how long it takes for them to pass through fully into prices, and ultimately on keeping longer term inflation expectations well-anchored.
Powell made it clear that the Fed’s "obligation is to keep longer term inflation expectations well anchored and to prevent a one-time increase in the price level from becoming an ongoing inflation problem.”
The tariffs are, in effect, an adverse supply shock, similar to the adverse supply shock caused by COVID-19 in 2020. The Fed could not prevent the disease from spreading or rescind stay-at-home orders in 2020. It cannot repair supply chains disrupted by higher tariff rates today. The best it can do is look through the adverse supply shock and keep nominal spending on a stable trajectory. Its failure to do this beginning in 2021 resulted in above-target inflation. The Fed does not want to repeat that mistake.
Here’s the problem: although disinflation warrants reducing the federal funds rate target, that move could be misconstrued as an attempt to offset the decline in economic growth associated with the higher tariff rates. If the public expects the Fed to deliver an expansionary monetary policy in response to the adverse supply shock, inflation expectations will rise and potentially become unanchored. To avoid that, the Fed is holding its federal funds rate target steady for now and assuring the public that it will not attempt to offset a tariff-induced contraction.
Remember, this is the same Fed that told us under Biden inflation was purely a temporary thing and prices would go back down. Remember that? Powell was right there making that claim. In fact Powell has been wrong on just about every issue throughout his tenure of office at the Fed. But now we are supposed to belie he's right on this, yes sir!
That he has been feuding with Trump has nothing to do with his slothful slowness.(Sheesh!)
How much "greater clarity" does the fool need? In April, inflation as measured by the consumer price index rose at an annual rate of 2.3%, down from 2.4% in March and below forecasts. In fact it was the biggest drop since the start of the pandemic. That means there is no reason to keep interest rates up. All that does is stifle economic growth, and Powell knows it.
The big difference between this and other periods of inflation is that we have actually done a major tax increase that hits other countries and not just our own citizens. We are taking in vast sums of cash via the tariffs, and at the same time we are drawing whole industries back to the United states. Yes, we still have inflation, but the Fed does not need to bump the money supply to cover the costs so much. Spending is still way too high and won't come down much; much of it was hard-wired in from the Biden era and courts won't let Trump just suspend it. But now we have money coming in to cover it, money that is not directly taken from the pockets of the working class and middle class.
I reiterate; this is only Powell's way of screwing over Trump by screwing over the American People. It's much like what Nicholas Biddle did to America when Andrew Jackson wanted to disband the Bank of the United States. Biddle raised interest rates to strangle the economy. Powell appears to be doing much the same.
Warren Harding raised tariffs on many goods with the Emergency Tariff of 1921, especially on farm products. It was formalized a year later by Congress with the Fordney-McCumber Tariff Act. We know what happened - the greatest boom in American history. While I do not credit the tariffs with CREATING the boom (Keynsians try to claim it was the government spending to build a national highway system but I think that's balderdash) I point out the tariffs in no way hurt the economy. Much is made of the much-later Smooth-Hawley in the 30's but there was a lot more going wrong in the economy then than the tariffs. A big part of it was the Federal Reserve cut the money supply by over a quarter and it froze borrowing.
I would further point out that most modern Presidents have imposed new tariffs (if not to the extent as Trump is doing). Ronald Reagan, the free trader, imposed his Proclamation 5601, large tariffs on European goods and services. He also imposed heavy tariffs on Japanese goods, as well as Chinese steel and aluminum. Reagan often spoke against tariffs but when push came to shove he actually imposed them - and the economy roared under the Gipper. No inflation.
Bill Clinton imposed a 100% tariff on European goods while he was President and the ecomomy did fine. No inflation.
Both Bush's and Obama all imposed tariffs at some point in their Presidencies and it could not be tied to either inflation or economic malaise.
On the flip side of all this we had Jimmy Carter, who was a big believer in cutting tariffs. We had stagflation and malaise under Carter's tutelage.
Again, I am not saying tariffs are some sort of catchall fix. But I am saying they certainly do not justify the actions of the Federal Reserve at this point in time. While Powell is a keynsian dufus, I suspect he knows the history here. Or he should.
These are powerful, transformative times. We have a Federal Reserve that is still operating on the thoroughly debunked theories of John Maynard Keynes and Great Depression thinking (and that depression was only GREAT because the fix was more of what caused it in the first place). And we have the Ruling Class desperately clinging to their power and their world government ambitions. Jerome Powell is one of them.

The communist Van Jones is admitting the Democrats really screwed up in covering for Joe Biden's dementia.
I said way back when that the Republicans should have gotten on this and rode it for all it was worth before the election. It was crystal clear Biden was losing it, had actually lost it. The Hur report said as much, making the claim Biden shouldn't be prosecuted because he was senile. I said at the time that if everyone fully understood that they would be angry because they had been openly lied to. Americans can be spun, even lied to with a certain amount of plausible deniability (they thought it cute when Clinton did it for instance, but his lies were always parsed and lawyerly logic-benders.) This was an open, overt lie to the public and it insulted everyone's intelligence. I said back then the GOP could ride that thing to victory. Now van Jones, a radical leftist Democrat, is admitting this lie is going to haunt them for many years to come.
It's fun to be right!

House Rep. Jim Jordan is opening an investigation to ascertain if Pfizer tampered with the 2020 elections by withholding positive testing data until after the election to hurt Donald Trump.
Good.
Trump is the one who FUNDED their research and yet they no doubt believed they would make out better under Joe Biden. So they bit off the hand that fed them. They should have to explain why they waited until just days after the election to make their big announcement.
The race was so close that may well have flipped the election to Trump.
From the article:
According to GSK, Dormitzer allegedly told colleagues in late 2024 that Pfizer intentionally delayed the release of successful trial results until after the November 2020 election.
GSK stated that Dormitzer, visibly distressed, visited the company’s human resources department shortly after the 2024 election to request a transfer to Canada.
He allegedly voiced concerns that a second Trump administration might investigate his role in the timing of Pfizer’s vaccine announcement.
Which means he knows there is a trail connecting him to the timing of the announcement. These are the actions of a guilty man.
The article continues:
He reportedly clarified that the delay was related to trial progress, not suppression of completed findings.
Pfizer has not publicly responded to the claims. Dormitzer denies making the statements attributed to him.
Uh,sure it was!
The Deep State was desperate to get rid of Trump, and no doubt this Dormitzer fellow figured he needed to be on "the right side of history" and not help a guy who wanted to dismantle the post-WWII order. It was a good gamble, because the people who have been in power worldwide have remained there throughout everything - the end of the Cold War, the Reagan revolution, etc. And they had the money and would blackball anyone who didn't show fealty to them. As talk show host Jesse Kelly points out, there is a kind of membership card you have to have to succeed in the U.S. and internationally. To have the card you have to say the right things, do the right things, prove your allegiance to the social and political order. That's why when something like the transgender movement starts everyone falls over each-other to promote it; they know this is what is expected of them and if they don't get on board their membership cards will be revoked and they will wind up living in the MIDWEST somewhere working for some second rate company and never return to the seats of powwer and privilege. So they back the Ruling Class every time.
So naturally this guy figured this was what was expected of him to keep his membership card. He never dreamed Trump would return. It was the safer bet, but he lost.
And now Jim Jordan is going to investgate and this guy ran away to Canada. The coup against the king failed and we all know what that entails.
It is right and proper for Congress to investigate this and if any laws were broken the guilty parties need to be punished. The Deep State has always punished those who oppose THEM, after all, which is why a guy like this would do such a thing in the first place. We have to make OUR punishments as much to be feared as theirs.
At any rate the Bible says everything hidden will become known. It's time we knew about the dirty dealings that went with that 2020 election.

They always admonish Americans not to drink the water in Mexico. Now I suppose we can't eat the tacos either...
Three U.S. State Department Advisors Gunned Down at Taco Stand in Mexico
And the U.S. Supreme Court just ruled that Donald Trump can't use the Foreign Enemies Act to remove invading aliens. Odd; this illustrates plainly there is a guerilla war being waged on the U.S. by the Cartels down in Mexico. These advisers were foolish in not acting as if they were in a war zone, which they were.
I wonder; was the stand named muerte a los gringos? Maybe that should have tipped them off.
These are not murder victims; they are fallen heroes in an undeclared war. They should be afforded military honors.

Rumor has it President Trump may be working on a deal to ship the so-called Palestinians aka terrorists to be resettled in Lybya. Not the worst idea but not the best either.
You would still have them all together and they have proven themselves to be a very bad mix. Libya had already been a hotbed for jihad, and bringingin the Palestinians won't improve the situation. We may just be moving terrorists to new digs.
Maybe instead of annexing Greenland we can turn it into the new Palestine? I'm sure they wouldn't be so eager to blow stuff up in 40 below weather.
Then there is South Georgia Island. This large sub-Antarctic island is entirely habitable but unoccupied because in bygone days it was too far from civilization. Now it's now. The only reason it's not inhabited now is the British government appeases the environmentalist wackos and keeps it in a "pristine" state, going so far as to exterminating the reindeer population that had been imported by a previous colonization proect. The island is certainly big enough - 1,450 square miles (about half the size of the West Bank and Gaza, but it should be able to accomodate the population easily enough.)
We need a more creative solution. Moving them to another terrorist hellhole in the region is a bad idea. Hey, Australia seems to love them these days and it's a hot desert continent...

This is sad, even if I have no love for Joe Biden. I wouldn't wish this on anyone.
Joe Biden Diagnosed With Aggressive Form of Prostate Cancer
The man is already sick and demented. He will end his days in suffering, I fear. Let's all say a prayer or two for him.
I do wonder if all the Covid shots Biden received had something to do with it.

Conservative Court my a, er, foot!
US Supreme Court blocks the Trump administration’s use of Alien Enemies Act
SCOTUS ruled in an unsigned decision (cowards) by a whopping 7 to 2 margin that Trump must have hearings and trials for each and every one of the probably 30 MILLION illegal aliens he seeks to deport.
I must ask, why is the Court now demanding an impossible legal burden on the directing of foreign policy by the President of the United States? They have ruled in the past that this is outside of the scope of the Coourt. Remember, these are NOT American citizens, nor do they play them on t.v. (well, maybe they do the latter). As such they do not have the right to access the legal system as do citizens. Their rights are limited.
Let me ask; did the Court rule this way against Harry Truman when he evicted 2 million, or against Dwight Eisenhower when he evicted three? Did they demand hearings for everyone deproted under Barack Hussein Obama?
Were there legal precedents restraining the deportation of Irish back in the 19th century?
This ruling is legally novel and not at all rooted in American law or American tradition.
In 2023 this same court affirmed that Joe Biden had final authority over immigration and enforcement when conservatives sued to make him enforce the laws on the books. In fact SCOTUS said they had no authority to restrain him. So why have they changed now?
Only Clarence Thomas and Sam Alito dissented.
What can you say about the rest? I have never trusted any of them; I openly opposed John Roberts as a Deep Stater when he was elevated, and I knew the three Trump appointees were also deep from the bowels of the Progressive insiders club. Coney-Barrett has proven herself to be one of the good old boys club, and the Kavanaugh and Neil Gorsuch always worried me. Now we know; they are all clones, Ruling Class stooges. Sadly these stooges aren't so funny. I prefer Moe, Larry, and Curly.
The Court gave Trump a couple of wins earlier in the year, and so I figured they would pull the big shaft on him.
From the Al Jazeera article:
Justice Brett Kavanaugh went a step further in a separate opinion, calling on the Supreme Court to issue a final and binding ruling in the matter, rather than simply grant this one petition.
"The circumstances call for a prompt and final resolution, which likely can be provided only by this Court,” he said, agreeing with the majority’s decision.
Thomas and Alito, in their dissent, argued the Supreme Court had not afforded enough time to a lower court to rule on the emergency petition.
Granted, this is still only a temporary injunction and the Court may eventually rule in Trump's favor but when?
This makes me very, very suspicious; it kicks the can down the road, probably until after the mid-term elections. That way the Republicans don't get the benefit of having evicted all these people as they promised and the media will say Trump broke his vow. If they ruled on it now many of these illegals would be gone and Trump could say "mission accomplished". Also, many of these illegals are going to vote in the next election despite it being illegal. You know that is true.
I've long argued our governmental system is rigged in such a way as to keep politics balanced on a knife-edge. The reason is it empowers those in power; nobody dares kick out the Ruling Class because otherwise the opposition gets into power. We are seeing that now with that rotten little punk David Hogg who is being forced out by the Democrats for challenging the status quo. I get it; I'd kick him out too were I they. But the point is he was trying to radicalize the party and they know that would be a mistake. They've long operated on this principle of being in power but not by too much lest it galvanize the enemy.
Sun Tzu put it thusly; the general should always leave a Golden Bridge of Retreat lest the enemy fight to the death. So the key to the Ruoling Class staying in power is to keep the fight really close but the left always winning, especially with their policy initiatives. And that has been the pattern all my life; Democrats are the aggressors and Republicans try to hide and hope they can survive the onslaught. Guys like John Thune or Mitch McConnell (or in this case John Roberts) will talk a good game and use the closeness of the political process to keep the voters on their sides while actively working against our wishes.
I think this shows SCOTUS is a Deep State entity.
So why did Trump's appointments wind up sucking? Because he listened to the Federalist Society, which is more Libertarian than anything. Many of it's members call themselves moderates. It's increasingly obvious they were giving Trump some very bad advice.
At any rate his picks have all betrayed America at some point. The two true conservatives left on the Court remain ever faithful, but they are outnumbered by the ambitious Deep State scoundrels, alas.
Trump is right; he cannot give 30 MILLION people court hearings, and he can't hold them for years awaiting those hearings. This was why 'catch and release' was started in the first place; the courts ruled they couldn't hold these people indefinitely but they also couldn't kick them out of the country. So Kavanaugh and Gorsuch and Barrett and Roberts have simply reinstated catch and release with this ruling.
Trump needs to house the worst of these people he's trying to evict next door to every Justice who joined in with this ruling. Make them live with the consequences of their actions. He can buy those houses that surround the Justices homes and make them group-living centers for illegals. Then those jerks would get a taste of what so many Americans have had to endure.
Again, this is a novel legal theory they have embraced and it really should not be obeyed.
BTW the American Civil Liberties Union filed the original complaint; I'd like to know how they have standing in this case? whenever our side files such lawsuits they are always denied based on standing but when leftists with no actual connection to the case file the courts bend over backwards to allow it.
We live in a kabuki theatre.

This is interesting; it seems our old friend George soros had a big hand in the growing hostility and genocide against South Africa's white farmers (Boers, or Afrikaaners).
Yes, it seems Soros' Open Society helped fund and foment the farm attacks.
I'm not surprised. This is why the Left blew a gasket when Trump granted asylum to 59 terrorized farmers.

The noose is tightening around the throat of former Trump special prosecutor Jack Smith.
NEW: AP reporting that House Judiciary Committee interviewed Jay Bratt, former top DOJ official and Jack Smith's lead thug in classified docs case, on Wednesday. Bratt repeatedly invoked Fifth Amendment
It was the Bratty one who pushed the Mar-a-Lago raid over objections from FBI agents and others. He also has been accused of abusing his authority to extort false testimony against President Trump.
Bratt was wise to invoke the fifth; he would have either have to incriminate himself or perjur himself.
At any rate the crimes continue to creep up the ladder and I suspect soon Mr. Smith will feature promiently in them. I hope so; I have little doubt Smith broke laws in his witch hunt to take out Trump.

This from Tony Heller at Real Climate Science:
Everything Looks Like a Nail
Hansen acknowledges that recent warming was caused by a reduction in clouds, then tries to blame it on the burning of fossil fuels. When your only tool is a hammer, everything looks like a nail.
The only thing which could have caused recent high sea surface temperatures is a reduction in clouds. There is no physical mechanism for carbon dioxide to rapidly warm water.

Just a word on the phrase that has everyone all abuzz about James Comey.
The term "86" came from the hospitality industry and it meant to dump or discard. AT first (some time during the '30's) it was a term for out of stock, but later it became a verb for uneaten portions that would be thrown out. From there the term was applied to unruly or otherwise trouble-making customers being ejected from the restaurant.
But a dictionary of slang has this to say:
I've also found it said that the term comes out of the Korean war where the F-86 Sabre fighter jet would shoot down an enemy aircraft. It "86'd" them.
The phrase also may have begun at a Prohibition-era bar in New York where unruly patrons were tossed out through the door at 86 Barrow Street.
I would add this is not at all a new use of the phrase. I direct you to the 1987 film Angel Heart starring Mickey Roarke where Roarke is being interviewed by the Ne Orleans police about a dead musician " He was into voodoo, they 86 one another two a week." The film was set in the late forties, I might add. Not sure how much research went into that phrase, but I suspect they got it right.
Much like the Devil having many names the phrase has many meanings - and origins.
The phrase is rather like the term "5-oh" for cops; that has nothing to do with anything but a television show about police in Hawaii, but it's now urban slang for all police.
Whatever it's origin I would make two conclusions:
1.In the end the ambiguity of the phrase protects Comey from prosecution - which he undoubtedly understood at the time and
2.Comey knew damned good and well what he was saying and what the implications were. He was FBI Director, after all, and studied crime extensively - and criminals.
One can argue, given Comey's witch hunt to take out Trump, that he was signaling to his compadres to set an assassination effort in motion. I doubt it but it certainly can be and should be looked at.
Why? If nothing else we need to have mutual assured destruction and the Left has waged an assymetric war for decades now against us and we never respond. Comey himself was part of the plot to take Trump out. So there is reason to suspect him of plotting further "for the good of the country" but even if we think what he did was innocent (and if so why did he take it down?) he still deserves the measure of what he gave Trump. The Left often uses lawfare as punishment; they don't care about getting a conviction (the cherry on top) so much as draining the target financially and emotionally and every other way. So Comey deserves a touch of that. If the Left sees that happen enough they will stop pulling it themselves.
Mutual Assured Destruction.
Make Comey speak to the FBI just like he made others, and if there are any inconsistencies charge him with lying to them. He did it plenty. Put him on the witness stand before congress, before a grand jury, etc. and make him fear a perjury trap. Make him spend money defending himself. It's not unfair or wrong; he did this to others on many occasions.
What of Christian forgiveness, one asks. I reply with "what of justice". Comey cheated justice and this is just what he deserves. We needn't hate the man but he should answer for his crimes, just as Al Capone went to Alcatraz for a mickey-mouse crime of tax evasion. Capone went to prison not for his REAL crimes, but for what they could get him on. That is where we are with these Deep State guys like Comey.
If we make an example of him and some others than they will get the message; don't go there!
And by pressuring him we are shaking the tree, and who knows what fruit will fall to the ground? What has Comey hidden away? Who else can be exposed for REAL crimes?
Much like the harlot of Revelation, Comey has poured the wine of corruption and now must drink a bowl. Couldn't happen to a nicer guy!

A federal judge hs dismissed most arrests in the Federal zone along the border with Mexico in yet another brazen effort to thwart the President's efforts to Make America Safe Again.
Around 400 migrants had been charged with willfully violating security regulations — misdemeanor charges that can carry up to a year in jail. The arrests, which Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth was praising just last Friday, had swamped local jails and every day brought dozens of shackled migrants into a federal courtroom to face the novel charges.
"When you cross illegally, you will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” Mr. Hegseth said in a social-media message.
But Judge Wormuth, a former federal prosecutor, said the federal government had failed to show that the migrants actually knew they were unlawfully entering a restricted military area. He has dismissed charges against 98 migrants so far as he works through the docket.
"The United States provides no facts from which one could reasonably conclude that the Defendant knew he was entering” the New Mexico National Defense Area, the newly declared military installation, Judge Wormuth ruled.
Ignorance of the law is no excuse, the old saying goes, and these people KNEW they were committing a crime just by crossing the border without going through the proper entry points. This is utter bullshit from this judge.
I would point out that many people have been charged over the years with trespassing on military land, often on snowmobiles, and have actually gone to prison for doing so. They had no way of knowing they were tespassing at the time, but that was no excuse, the courts have said repeatedly. But if you are an illegal alien in the process of committing a crime anyway you get a free pass, apparently.
Something must be done to rein in this out-of-control judiciary.

Remember James Comey? He is now openly calling for Trump to be assassinated, posting on Instagram "86 47". 86 means kill or murder of course and Trump is the 47th President of the United States.
Kash Patel is opening an investigation into this; it is a crime to threaten to kill the President of the United States. And while this would probably be a harmless blowing off of steam for some average Joe and thus not investigated, a man of Comey's stature and connections and his open hatred of Donald Trump makes one suspect he was passing along an order to terminate with prejudice. Comey had been the Director of the FBI and was sacked by President Trump for plotting against him.
We are aware of the recent social media post by former FBI Director James Comey, directed at President Trump. We are in communication with the Secret Service and Director Curran. Primary jurisdiction is with SS on these matters and we, the FBI, will provide all necessary support.
— FBI Director Kash Patel (@FBIDirectorKash) May 15, 2025
The medi and Democrats take every thing Donald Trump says as a "dog whistle" so why should we not take what Comey said as anything but? Sounds to me like he's putting out the call to would-be assassins. And don't forget this guy was Director of the FBI; he knows the dangers of loose lips. I doubt Comey says anything that he doesn't intend.
We either have to say Comey is evil or stupid. He's playing for stupid now, saying he had no idea what 86 47 meant. I seriously doubt that. You don't get where he was by being stupid. That makes him evil.
United States Code Title 18, Section 871 makes it a felony to threaten the President of the United States. It makes "Any letter, paper, writing, print, missive, or document containing any threat to take the life of, to kidnap, or to inflict bodily harm" a crime punishable by up to 5 years in federal prison and up to $250,000 in fines.
The big problem is that it will have to be proven Comey KNOWINGLY did this. He is claiming ignorance of the meaning of "86" naturally (he's been a lawyer all his life and knows the statute.)
So he'll probably walk on this, but since he wanted to go back into the fray Mrs. Patel and Bourngino may well start looking deep into Mr. Comey's affairs - and I suspect there are a few skeletal remains in there.
Maybe this guy is just stupid after all.
Just James Comey causally calling for my dad to be murdered.

I got good news yesterday; my wife's surgeon FINALLY lifted positioning restrictions on her. She has been bed-ridden at 30* or less for nine full weeks now! As of yesterday that is over.
That means physical therapy can start doing real work with her. She will be getting out of bed and they can start teaching her to walk again.
Poor Cathy has suffered terribly through this and it isn't over; she still has a wicked infection in her nether region, for instance, but it's getting better. She is still on a feeding tube and will remain so for months more at a minimum. But at least she is able to sit up - she'll be able to eat by mouth again to a greater degree.
So yesterday was a banner day!
On the flip side my 94 year old father was taking out his trash (he lives alone) and fell flat on his face on the concrete porch. Broke his nose and busted his face up. My brother tells me he looks like a club fighter who lost and badly. Brian took him to an urgent care facility and they x-rayed him and said his bones were fine. They didn't recommend an MrI so he's just got to recover as best as he can.
He's obstinate and won't wear the life alert I got him. So when he fell he was unable to get back in the house. He had to crawl on his belly until he got inside. I'm hoping this will teach him to keep the thing on him.
At any rate he's fine, if a bit worse for wear. So all is as right with the world as is possible these days.
Thank you all for your prayers and concern!

I had to spend a trillion bucks and all I got was this lousy t-shirt!
$1 trillion of pandemic relief was lost to fraud, and nearly every American's personal data is for sale online: '60 Minutes'
Blaze News
How much you want to bet this mostly wound up back in Democrat coffers? How much of that billion bucks Kamala spent came from this?
Much of the problem stems from identity theft and foreign actors using stolen identities to obtain disaster relief funds.
I know I'm sounding apocalyptical these days, but it does make one wonder; all this identity theft via the worldwide web is going to force the government into a drastic solution. There will wind up having to be some sort of identifying marker placed on the individual so they can legally verify who they are. A QR code on hand or forehead (invisible except to a scanner, of course) would allow people to prove they are who they claim to be, and anyone without such a code would by necessity be forced out of the legitimate commercial market. For a time a black market would thrive but it would eventually be squashed (government doesn't get it's cut). The Book of Revelations is quite clear "No one should be able to buy or sell unless he bears the mark of the name of the Beast or the number of its name." That would essentially be a death sentence in modern times for those who refuse to take the mark since all commerce will be conducted with computers in some fashion - even in brick and mortar stores. But receiving the mark will be an eternal death sentence - damnation. So many will die and suffer for it.
But I see no way to stop it. And it's all going to be in the interest of stopping computer hacking and identity theft.
That is why I believe the Second Coming will be followed by an EMP that will take out the entire electric grid.
Matthew 24:29 states:
Which could be from smoke from the war blotting out natural light. But you will notice there is no suggestion of artificial light either.
In fact the Roman Catholic Church has always argued there would be three days of darkness following Armageddon, and artificial light won't work. What does that sound like?
Of course if Jesus returns with an EMP then the whole corrupt system of things will break down - all the computers will die.
Matthew 24:27
Such lightning would take out our power. We've seen this before.
At any rate the coming of AI presents an existential threat to the human soul itself and I am of a mind to believe God won't tolerate that for long. We are trying to create a false god to supercede Him.
At any rate I suppose I've preached enough now. Suffice it to say this case of stolen identity to steal taxpayer funds is probably just the tip of the iceberg in terms of identity theft and no society will long tolerate such things. Actions are coming and those actions almost certainly will put some variation of the Mark into practice. Maybe not fully as yet,but the time is fast approaching. Be warned.

The government of South Africa has spilled the beans on their real intent in trying to prevent white people from fleeing their hellhole country.
They put out this statement:
in other words the predominantly black South African government is planning genocide, or near enough. We've heard these kinds of words many times from Communists and from tribal rulers who have gone on to massacre their minorities. How is this any different from statements made by, say, the Hutu before they massacred the Tutsi in Rwanda? The Hutus said much the same. So did Hitler about Jews. So did the Turks about the Armenians. So did almost every tyrant who massacred his minorities.
Anyone who thinks the Afrikaaners are somehow "privileged" is batcrap crazy; they are the Atlases of South Africa, and the only reason the nation hasn't descended into warfare and poverty is the middle class Boers running those farms and factories and the rest.
By the way, when the Boers first settled there there were few black people in the region. The original Dutch settlers left Cape Town and headed inland to the higlands. The land was largely empty (thanks to proximity to the Zulus, who were dreaded by the other tribes of the region). so the Boers settled and built farms and cities and established several independed countries like Transvaal or the Orange Free State. Briain, ever greedy for land, eventually swallowed these countries and it was at that point the Bantu (the local name for black tribes other than Zulu) started migraating south to take jobs offered by the British. The whites - both Anglo and Boer (Duttch for "husbandman" or farmer) , remained in charge as the ruling class while the population of bantu kept swelling. In fear of being overrun the government of South Africa instituted the despised Apartheid rules, which were little different from the Jim Crow laws in many states in America at the time. But America ended those in 1964 and South Africa refused to bend with the times (why would they, being so outnumbered?) Yes, there were differneces; Bantu had to have work cards and show them to enter white areas, unlike in the U.S. where black folks officially had the right to go anywhere but in practice would be arrested in a white neighborhood after dark or whatnot. But in the end international economic pressure forced the white government to step down and let the communist African National conference take power.
I once read that the rock keyboardist Manfred Mann could not legally go home - ever - because then he would be offically under the boycott. So he had to stay in Britain to ply his trade. That's how it was during the days of the boycott, which went on from 1954 until 1990 when the Botha government ended it and allowed national elections which put the white minority permanently under the thumb of the people who hated them.
The massacre has taken much longer than I ever thought it would but I never doubted we'd see a genocide. This situation was ripe for one.
At any rate how is it "justice" to attack, murder, and disenfranchise farmers just because your own people didn't have the wherewithall to build your own farms or businesses? This is the Communist ethos.
South Africa was once a great nation. It had atomic weapons, for instance, meaning it could really do things. Now it is a crime-riddled third world hellhole, and that is because the backbone of South Africa's middle class has been systematically repressed by a tribal collectivist government that seeks vengeance on anyone not of their own persuasion. And the world is fine with that as long as it's white people suffering. If, say, Germany were to act in this fashion towards immigrants does anyone think we wouldn't hear howling and gnashing of teeth? We've heard that about Donald Trump expelling CRIMINALS who invaded our country illegally, for crying out loudo! But because these people have a Duttch accent and their parents were slow to adopt modern racial thinking automatically makes them evil and deserving of what they get.
THAT my friends is the true evil. This is the nastiest of Bolshevism/Fascism, but it's black on whitte.

Putin has bagged on peace talks with Zelensky that were scheduled to be held in Turkey.
Increasinglly it appears Putin is stalling for time, which suggests to me he knows the Ukrainians are nearing the end of their resistance to the Russian army.
Since Putin is a no-show Trump isn't going to waste time there. Rubio MAY show up (or not) just as Putin is sending an underling himself.
Zelensky shouldn't show up either; it makes him look craven. He should send an underling.
It is increasingly onvious that Putin isn't going to make a credible peace offering (and likely Zelensky isn't going to accept any deal he'll offer). If Trump is serious about settling this (and he appears to be) he will have to impose some very strict sanctions on Russia, I suspect.
The reality is this thing has dragged on way too long and now neither side will accept a stalemate. I fear it will drag on to the bitter, bitter end (and the Ukraine will be forcibly returned to the Russian orbit) unless there is some sort of direct involvement from foreign powers, thus triggering WWIII.
This situation is extremely dangerous and I doubt a diplomatic solution will now work. It would have all along but the Biden Administration and the Europeans wanted this war. Now it will have to grind to it's terrible conclusion.

Should Trump reopen Alcatraz? this author thinks so.
This was a kid who grew up on the island, a child of an employee of the place. He gives an interesting birds-eye view of the place.

Have I judged the new Pope too harshly? Perhaps. Here is an essay at Canada Free Press arguing Pope Leo may be quite different from what I think.
The author - David Martin - digs up quotes from the new Pontiff that suggest he may be far, far better than the previous occupant of the Cathedra of Peter.
A few tidbits:
[...]
The new pope opposes woke gender ideology, saying that "It seeks to create genders that don’t exist.” He criticizes the media and cultural trends for fostering "sympathy for beliefs and practices that are at odds with the Gospel,” especially the "homosexual lifestyle” and "same-sex partners with adopted children.” Accordingly, he fully adheres to the traditional Church teaching of marriage being between one man and one woman.
Pope Leo also shows signs of wanting to bring about a liturgical reform. Cardinal Prevost through the years said the Traditional Latin Mass, which Francis warred against with all his might. On May 12, Newsmax reported:
"Several Vatican sources have indicated that Leo will soon lift restrictions on the Latin Mass.
Good points all but I still have grave doubts. Remember, Pope Francis replaced a whopping 80% of the cardinals before he shook off his mortal coil. And of the remnant who were over the hill, 117 of them were not allowed to vote thanks to a rule change made by Pope Paul VI in the seventies. So All most of the voting cardinals were Bergoglia men.
Mathematics is mathematics and human psychology is human psychology. Of course there is tne Holy Spirit, whom Catholics believe chooses the Pope but the Holy Spirit may well PUNISH the Church by allowing a bad one into power. Certainly the Church has been failing in her primary mission which is the salvation of souls, not the promotion of social identity politics, as it has become. The Church under Francis has become the Church of Laodecia, neither hot nor cold. Jesus said since it is so he would "spew it from my mouth". How better to spew it than by appointing a bad Pope?
And of course I have pointed to the speed of this conclave as evidence the decision had largely already been made. I find it hard to believe Prevost was chosen at random, or even by the Holy Spirit. There would have been great resistance to him had that been the case; there ALWAYS is great resistance to anyone whom God has annointed.
We also have some tweets and other things from the former Cardinal Prevost that suggest he's a Progressive and a man of the worldly mind. He has condemned our building a wall on the border, for instance, which is purely his opinion. I would remind him of Nehemiah, the Prophet, who has one of the Books of the Old Testament named after him and who was praised as for doing the work of God. Nehemiah's claim to fame was BUILDING A WALL around Jerusalem to protect the People. Yet Prevost condemns Trump for doing what Nehemiah did.
Don't let your guard down folks; give him a chance but see the fruits of his actions and words, not just the tenor of his speech.
The Catholic Church has a folklore belief that the False Prophet mentioned in the Book of Revelations would be a Pope, or rather an anti-Pope. Like the Antichrist he would probably appeal to all segments of the population for a time, then turn heretic aka hard left. He would give all his authority and power to the antichrist. One wonders about any new Pope these days, most especially after Fatima and the warnings made there.
Isaac Newton is known as the world's greatest physicist, and he was (I know many will argue Einstein, who was indeed great, but he was building on the shoulders of Newston) but he was first and foremost an Episcopal priest and his work in physics was merely a sideline to his real passion, which was the study of Bible prophecy. He had a project to determine the parousia, the second coming of Christ. he analyzed all the data in the Bible, timelines, dates, everything. He determined that it was all going down in 2060, just thirty five years from now. If he was off a couple of decades then this new Pope could well be the false prophet. Leo XIV is only 69, meaning he could be alive in twenty years if it happens in '46 rather than '60. (One suspects the numbe 666 entered into Newton's calculations in this instance.)
I don't know about all that, but I do know that the times most certainly fit the prophecies; Man is gambling with our own existence, playing with forces well beyond our capabilities. The transhumanists and their insane ideas of melding with computers and genetic manipulation, the rise of AI ("And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause to be killed as many as would not worship the Beast or the number of his name" Rev. 13:5), the increasing availability of nuclear weapons, the insanity of geoengineering to "stop" a largely fictitious climate crisis, weather control efforts, etc. Plus the complete deterioration of moral and social codes with "transgenderism" being promoted despite it's complete lack of scientific basis or spiritual value (Do not be deceived neither...nor homosexuals nor the effeminate..shall enter the Kingdom of Heaven 1Corinthians 6:9), the rise of homosexuality ("they have changed the incorruptible for the corruptible...so God gave them over to vile passions, for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another" 1Romans 25-27, We seem to be violatting all of these things. In fact the Apostle Paul pretty much described the modern human:
Sounds quite modern.
And all of this is what the Catholic Church is supposed to be fighting against. But instead it seems more interested in joining in the party. Oh, and getting those donations being made by the remnant that is left.
The primary purpose of the Church is the salvation of souls;all the rest is mere window dressing. Yes, physical charity and helping people is an honorable and worthwhile goal as Jesus did that too, but Jesus isn't so much remembered or venerated for saving people from poverty or illness or even raising them from the dead but for dying on the Cross so Man could be saved from Hell and join Him in heaven. Salvation is job #1, yet the Church no longer concerns itself with that. Go to any Catholic church and you will hear them drone on about how we need to be nicer to people and how to be better every day, like some sort of Norman vincent Peale homily. This is a complete dereliction of duty by the Church; they are supposed to save SOULS first and foremost. Now people are going to damnation simply because the Church isn't telling them not to.
I look at the new Pope and think about all this. Maybe I'ma a bit of a nerd, but I really do. I try to look at the times and compare them to previous times. Yes, we've always had a lot of the things we are seeing now, but we now have the TOOLS to turn these nickel and dime conceits into monsters. We know Covid, for instance, was created in a lab, and that out of sheer hubris by some in our ruling class. How much worse is waiting as a gift from Lucifer to rebellious humans? Where was the Church in calling Gain of Function research out? That was and remains a direct challenge to God Himself. But the Church is afraid since they took so much heat over Gallileo (and they weren't even wrong on that - they simply asked Gallileo to teach Copernicanism as a theory, not as fact. Gallileo was the Michael Mann of his day, promoting his opinion as established fact and attacking anyone, including his boss the Pope, who cautioned patience to resolve the matter satisfactorally.
So now the Church just stammers when some obviously dangerous and morally disreputable idea comes up. Can't be called "anti-science" can we? So the runway train continues to drag souls into Hell and the Church is more concerned with blessing gay unions or with giving women a greater roll, or some other thing that promotes the darkness in the end. The real issues go untouched.
Righteousness exalteth a nation but sin is a reproach thereunto, as the Good Book says. The Church is supposed to be repooving, not enabling.
So we have to wait and see what the new Pope will do. Let us all pray he is a rightous Pontiff and not the one who leads us all into darkness.
Just this Pope's name is ominous, as the quote at the beginning points out. Also:
1Peter 5:8:
Do remember that to the ancient Greeks and Romans the constellation Leo was so named because of the Nemean Lion, a fearsome beast killed by Hercules. Leo is another name for Lion.
