Guy in Charge of Fire Control in L.A. Phones in Bomb Threat to City Hall

L.A.'s Deputy Mayor for Public Safety allegedly made a bomb threat to City Hall and has been on administrative leave. This is the guy charged with fire safety.

William's race is not mentioned in the article but there are indications from the response by black residents that he is African American. While this is has no bearing on the crime itself it does speak to the defense of Williams by city employees and others. In some black communities Papa Doc Duvalier would be defended just because of his race, particularly in the racial-minded Los Angeles,which worships DEI.
Certainly this articlesuggests Williams is very active in the black community, being described as "mentoring" black youths.
Much like the black community here in St.Louis rallied behind St. Louis Circuit (Prosecuting) Attorney Kim Gardner despite her dreadful behavior, so too a certain segment of the black community will rally behind a guy like Williams.
No explanation has been offered as to why he made the bomb threat (which has not fully been established yet although it appears likely). But one thing is certain; if it wasn't Williams it was someone close enough to make it appear it was Williams, which still means there is big, big problems in the L.A. city government.

"About a week before Christmas, FBI agents raided the home of Brian Williams, the deputy mayor of public safety in Los Angeles, on suspicion that he had called in a bomb threat at Los Angeles City Hall. Los Angeles police officers opened an investigation into the threat but later handed the investigation over to federal agents because of the suspect's connection with their department.
"Our initial investigation revealed that the source of the threat was likely from Brian Williams, Deputy Mayor for Public Safety," LAPD said in a statement. "Due to the Department’s working relationship with Mr. Williams, the investigation was referred to the FBI. The FBI remains the investigating agency."
After the raid, Williams was placed on administrative leave. Sources told the L.A. Times that the bomb threat associated with Williams was made sometime in October."

Biden's Farewell Finger

Here is a good analysis of Joe Biden's Farewell Address. Biden's stupidity is only eclipsed by his arrogance and condescension.
At the end of his speech he actually read "end of quote" off the teleprompter! Nobody was home it seems.
And he railed against the end of government funded "fact checkers" despite that niggling thing called the First Amendment which guarantees people free speech - even if it's incorrect (and the fact remains the fact checkers were generally the ones who were incorrect in most instances and that purposely so.) He also complained of an "oligarchy" of billionaires, but who put Mr. Biden and Barack Obama in power in the first place? George Soros, Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Warren Buffett, etc. These plutocrats were fine as long as they were supporting the Dems. But let one support Trump (Musk) and suddenly we must fear an oligarchy.
The dirty little secret is America has had an oligarchy for decades now, run by the Deep State and the plutocrats. This election got away from them because they got greedy and tried to grab too much; the public rebelled. So, in typical leftist fashion, they accuse their opponents of that which they themselves are most guilty.
Trump and MAGA was a rebellion AGAINST the oligarchy. Musk was wise enough to smell this coming and get on the right side of things. Now others, notably Bezos and Zuckerberg, and trying to do likewise. But we remember they are the ones who gave us Obama, and they are the ones who gave us Biden.
Remember Zuckerbucks? The Facebook founder used his considerable fortune to "upgrade" voting systems across the country PROVIDED the money be used in the way he dictated - and that as much as anything led to abuse and fraud, the abuse and fraud that let Mr. Biden take power. I didn't hear Biden complain about "oligarchs" back then.
So Biden has gone out as he came in - A petulant, nasty old guy yelling at kids to get off his lawn. He's going down in history alongside guys like James Buchanan or Woodrow Wilson or Ulysses S. Grant or either Bush or Richard Nixon. He was even worse than Jimmy Carter, if you believe it.
But fret not; the media will labor long and hard, as they did with Carter, to rehabilitate Biden's memory and future generations will say "eh..he wasn't so bad" just as they do with Carter now. Carter was a total disaster and anyone who lived through that era and remembers it has to admit it. Now Carter is considered a guy who was facing overwhelming challenges that nobody could fix (yet strangely enough Ronald Reagan fixed them in just a year or two.) Carter gave us stagflation (something the Keynsian economists he was listening to said was impossible), sky high oil prices, gas shortages, rioting and civil unrest, the humiliation of the Iran Hostage Crisis (which ended just when Reagan took office), the threat of the Soviet empire (which Reagan destroyed), rising communist insurrections around the globe, especially in Nicaragua, El Salvador, Grenada, in Honduras and other key spots, and Carter's general appearance of stupidity (such as the "attack of the killer rabbit" when Carter was in a canoe and had to fight a RABBIT off with a paddle, saying he was threatened) or his brother's antics, such as urinating on the tarmac in front of foreign diplomats, or his hemorrhoid operation, or his interview with Playboy where he said "I have lusted in my heart after women", etc.)
Carter gave us double-digit inflation, sky high interest rates, And he couldn't take the blame himself; he accused America of being in "a malaise" because it just COULDN'T be HIS fault!
He gave us the Ayatollah Khomeini in Iran. Carter actually believed Khomeini was a REFORMER and Iran would be better off with him than the Shah. When the Shah called for help Carter refused to talk to him, famously saying "f%$* the Shah!". All the subsequent terrorism in the Middle East was his fault.
The man was a braying jackass - but Joe Biden is probably even worse.
I could go through a list of Biden's many disasters but I think we all remember them.

The special election for the vacancy is slated to take place on Jan. 28, granting Republican lawmakers at least two weeks during which they will enjoy a majority.
Republican lawmakers argue their current 67-member majority meets a quorum due to the one vacancy in the House, which sets the total number of members to 133. State Democratic lawmakers disagree, arguing the quorum should be set at the usual 68 lawmakers despite the one vacancy, which could prevent Republican lawmakers from conducting legislative business if every Democratic lawmaker boycotts the session.
State House Democratic lawmakers, led by their speaker-designate, Democratic Minnesota Rep. Melissa Horton, are threatening to do everything in their power to deny Republican lawmakers the opportunity from having a quorum to organize a majority and elect a speaker, according to a statement Horton released Monday.
"Denial of quorum is a legitimate parliamentary tactic,” Horton said. "In the event Democrats choose to deny quorum, we wanted to be sure to have all our members properly and legally sworn in and we did that this evening.”
House Republican lawmakers are pledging to move ahead with the beginning of the statehouse’s legislative session even if House Democrats boycott Tuesday’s proceedings.

Joe Biden ordered flags be flown at half staff on Trump's inauguration, ostensibly in honor of President Jimmy Carter, who recently passed away.
Mike Johnson showed a little backbone finally and ordered them flown at full staff over the Capitol, of which he is in charge.
Good for him. But I still trust him about as far as I can toss him.
If I were Speaker I'd order extenders to put on top of the Capitol flagpoles and make the flags fly even higher than normal! But this is the best we can get, I suppose.

In yet another exposure of the dark side of the moon from Joe Biden the erstwhile President has just tied up vast sums of land in California, declaring two new Federal Monuments.

"Biden signed proclamations establishing the 624,000-acre Chuckwalla National Monument south of Joshua Tree National Park in Southern California, and the Sáttítla Highlands National Monument, spanning more than 224,000 acres of pristine forests and unique geological features near the Oregon border."
So, what natural resources is he trying to deny America? Rare earth metals? Oil? He didn't just do this out of concern for the environment, I assure you.
This man really is a huge douche...

Here's one of the dirty little secrets, one the media and Cali government won't discuss. Homeless are a big part of the fire problem in the Charred State as they light fires for warmth outside and wind up burning the place down.

While this fire chief used all the politically correct buzz words (unhoused, for example) he still touched on a salient point. Of course, asking homeless junkies to stop lighting fires is like asking snakes to stop killing rats. Won't happen.
The point is the media never mentions this source of fire, nor do any of our brave representatives, who are more eager to blame "climate change" than homeless meth heads or illegal aliens.

All the Left understands is power and they won't quit until they realize this hurts them worse than it hurts their opponents.
In Milton's Paradise Lost there is a terrific scene where Lucifer, having broken the lines of Michael's defending army, are storming the Primus Mobilum itself and Jesus comes out to meet them. He speaks reasonably to them, offering forgiveness and they sneer at him in disdain "Now that you are defeated you want to talk!" Jesus sadly tells them "if all you understand is power, power is what you will receive" after which His face turns into a horrifying visage and He so terrifies the rebellious angels they flee to the parapet of Heaven and jump into the abyss, landing in Hell.
Milton is giving us the roadmap for handling this sort of thing; at some point power is all they understand and power is what they must receive.
We used to call it Mutual Assured Destruction during the Cold War; nobody dared launch because they knew the consequences would be utterly terrible. That is what has been lacking in the GOP for decades, but it's the only way to stop such things. The Democrats crossed the Rubicon; they broke the rules. Now the rules should no longer apply and they are fair game too.
I personally regret this but you cannot have unilateral obeisance to the rules - that is just surrender.
We need to dig into these people and find ways to charge them with crimes. Ruin their lives as they would ruin others. It sucks it has come to this but the aggressor sets the rules of engagement and the Left is most assuredly the aggressor.

In Milton's Paradise Lost there is a terrific scene where Lucifer, having broken the lines of Michael's defending army, are storming the Primus Mobilum itself and Jesus comes out to meet them. He speaks reasonably to them, offering forgiveness and they sneer at him in disdain "Now that you are defeated you want to talk!" Jesus sadly tells them "if all you understand is power, power is what you will receive" after which His face turns into a horrifying visage and He so terrifies the rebellious angels they flee to the parapet of Heaven and jump into the abyss, landing in Hell.
Milton is giving us the roadmap for handling this sort of thing; at some point power is all they understand and power is what they must receive.
We used to call it Mutual Assured Destruction during the Cold War; nobody dared launch because they knew the consequences would be utterly terrible. That is what has been lacking in the GOP for decades, but it's the only way to stop such things. The Democrats crossed the Rubicon; they broke the rules. Now the rules should no longer apply and they are fair game too.
I personally regret this but you cannot have unilateral obeisance to the rules - that is just surrender.
We need to dig into these people and find ways to charge them with crimes. Ruin their lives as they would ruin others. It sucks it has come to this but the aggressor sets the rules of engagement and the Left is most assuredly the aggressor.

Illegals Shut Down Aurora Apartment Complex

The apartment complex in Aurora Colorado that the media and Colorado's Democratic government assured us was not controlled by Venezuelan gangs has been closed by an emergency safety order.
They assured us everything was fine there, so why did they have to shut it down?
Judge Shawn Day signed the emergency order January 10 after the City of Aurora filed for an injunction to close the property as a threat to public safety.
But I suppose it had nothing at all to do with illegal immigrants taking it over! Just a huge honking coincidence!
BTW I worked in the field of property management and dealt with this sort of thing. The owners are not at fault; government regulations make it next to impossible to clean a place like that out. You cannot deny someone tenancy without good cause and all of these people showed up and no doubt the state of Colorado was pushing landlords to rent to them. Once in they have to be evicted through legal channels and when they are they have to be bodily removed by the Sheriff's department. Then any representative from the management company is in peril if he tries to go into the building. It's a losing proposition.
In fact, when I was doing it, we would sometimes ask a judge to shut a building down because it was the only way to get control of it. That was always a great danger though, because once shut down it might be a bear to reopen. Usually a building inspector comes and tears it apart, costing the owner thousands of dollars. Oh, and the evictees usually tear the place to the ground before you regain possession.
No, this is the fault of Colorado's Democratic government and the failure of the Biden Administration to secure the border. I feel for the poor sOB's who own this place.

For that matter, allowing gay scouts into the BSUSA, then gay scoutmasters, led to a terrible pedophilia scandal that almost (well, actually did) destroyed the Boy Scouts. Bringing it out in the open does not stop sexual misbehavior - it only exacerbates it.
I guess Frankie is unaware that far more homosexual men started having sex quite young and with older men aka they were molested. This is Lynda Resnick. According to the Revolver article:
Seems the Resnicks own massive agricultural holdings (as well as the Franklin Mint) and control the massive Kern Water Bank, which was privatized by California some years back (and sold to a big Democrat donor).
The Kern Water Bank was funded by taxpayers but now California has to beg the Resnicks for water form it.
The way water is handled in the west is entirely different from back east. Here east of the Rockies we just drill down for water or dam up a stream or just suck water out of a stream or lake without much thought to the matter. We don't have to suffer from the complicated issue of water rights; if you can get to it it's yours, by and large. In the dry west there is a hellishly complex legal mechanism over water, and you can get in some major hot water if you don't follow the law. Pull too much water out of a stream and the government comes a-knocking.
Any time you get the state involved you have problems with corruption and the abuse of the system.
At any rate I am going to bring up something I have discussed previously in other contexts - hydraulic empires, or as they are sometimes called water monopoly empires. We have had such in history and they are usually completely tyrannical. How they work is simple; the King or Pharoah or emperor owns the water and controls the devlivery systems. Piss him off and you go thirsty and so do your crops. As a result nobody ever rebels in a hydraulic empire; the big cheese controls life and death, literally.
IF this number is correct about how much water the Resnicks control (and the article doubts it) then they largely have a water monopoly empire. They say "jump" and California says "how high". This is not a good or stable situation. It means Newsome and everyone else danced to their tune (and Newsome dances with lots of gesticulations thanks to the coke he snorted, or so some believe - see the previous article this morning). Control of water gives immense power.
I have little doubt the Left - at least some of them - have thought this out carefully and realize the power they have. Places like the Imperial Valley, which is Republican country, are limited by fear of losing their water.
And the Imperial Valley suffered that very fate during the Obama Administration when the BHO cut off water to them from the Colorado river to save the snail darter. Many Imperial VAlley farmers lost their land or suffered in other ways as a result.
Water is the stuff of life. The Greek philosopher Thales believed life itself came from water, that water was the essence of the soul. That may not be the case but water certainly is a necessity, a very serious one. Only oxygen is more seriously needed than water.

So we don't really know what's going on with the Newsuiance, just that something ain't right in his noggin.
Neurosyphillis can cause TD too, but usually primarily in the face, not the arms. Newsom admitted to having an affair.
He also admitted to an alcohol problem in the past, but it seems unlikely alcohol caused this. I've known drunk people and they do some crazy things but not this.
So we are unlikely to know what is going on, but it seems at least logical he may be on a coke high. Any way you look at it the man doesn't belong in his position.
Oh, cocaine does indeed cause movement disorders. It is associated with hyperkinesis, includes de novo tics, dystonia, essential-like tremor, myoclonus, and chorea, all of which resemble TD.

Premature Discharge

So Judge Juan Merchan wished Mr. Trump Godspeed, and issued "unconditional dishcarge" which to me sounds suspiciously like what a teenage boy does the first time he gets a teenage girl alone in the back seat of his car. Premature and unproductive to put it mildly.
But to wish him "Godspeed" after what he'd pulled? The hypocrisy is astounding!
New York legal code section 65.20 states:
"When the court imposes a sentence of unconditional discharge, the defendant shall be released with respect to the conviction for which the sentence is imposed without imprisonment, fine or probation supervision. A sentence of unconditional discharge is for all purposes a final judgment of conviction.”

And that was the entire purpose, to get "convicted felon" attached to Mr. Trump's name for all eternity. Merchan knew he couldn't make any actual punishment stick so he was happy to settle for this just before Trump was inaugurated.
Seems to me the judge was the one who messed his pants with his unconditional discharge. He made it clear there was no there there, nothing Trump had actually done wrong (or else he would have punished the Great Orange Menace).
At the end of the film "The Exorcism of Emily Rose" Father Moore is convicted of criminal neglect for Emily's death by the jury with the recommendation of time served. The judge sentences him "Father Moore, you are guilty - and you are free to go". It was an exhoneration even while he was TECHNICALLY guilty under the law, but the judge and everyone else knew he had no malicious or selfish intent and the conviction merely followed the letter of the law. The spirit demanded Moore be released.
One is tempted to look at Merchan much like the judge in TEOER but that is not the case; Merchan did everything possible to secure a conviction, twisting the law into a pretzel. He broke with all American jurisprudence by telling the jury if they FELT something was illegal to vote to convict without proper definition or legal foundation - the epitome' of a kangaroo court. He refused Trump's defense strategies. He allowed the prosecution to withhold evidence. He allowed multiple violations of jury protocol. And he was seriously compromised; his own daughter worked for Kamala Harris and donated to Biden. He should have recused himself.
Like the teenager who fumbles with his Mentors and in his eagerness winds up with a mess of unconditional discharge all over his tidy whities, the judge, in his eagerness to take out the source of all political misery found himself in premature legal exclamatio. Now he's all revved up with nothing to show for it except a mess.
(BTW on my copy of TThe Exorcism of Emily Rose they speak with a producer of the movie who tells a story about Winston Churchill. During the war the British troops were having trouble with their guns jamming due to cold. They found they could stretch condoms over them aned they would do much better, but the condoms were too small and burned through too quickly. The War Department went to Churchill with a proposal from a condom manufacturer to make giant condoms to cover the whole gun. Churchill approved it on two conditions 1.They had to be stamped "British made" and 2.they had to be stamped "medium size".
Merchan and the rest went up against a guy with Churchill condoms while they were packing extra smalls.
This was nothing but an act of premature unconditional discharge and was about as productive.

The Big Climate Lie

Dimwittia Dana Griswold Criswell, Obama's FEMA director, blames Global Warming for the fires of Mordor of so cal.

Only a few niggling problems with this claim. First, California has just gotten past a period of TOO MUCH RAIN which actually had reservoirs over-full. Since 2022 the state has been above average on rainfall. So how is that "climate change" related?
And the summer of 2023 was the coolest summer they've had for over a decade. That's the New York Times making this claim, not Breitbart. Temperatures fell all over the state.
Last year was the quietest spring in years in California, I might add.
So how is "climate change" responsible for the fires? As of December of last year California's precipittation was above average so one cannot blame this on lack of rain. Certainly one cannot blame empty fire hydrants on climate change.
But of course our government overlords, never willingt to let a good crisis go to waste, are now proclaiming 2024 the hottest year on record since record keeping began in a lame attempt to keep their climate change grift alive.
They arrive at that by downplaying previous temperature data from hot periods like the 1930's via "data smoothing" and other statistical tricks. But it's a lie and they know it.
Not sure where it was so hot. certainly not in the Midwest where we had perhaps one or two days above 100* all summer and winter temperatures were not exactly sultry.
NASa and NOAA rely on people not knowing what it is doing elsewhere then they fib about it.
At any rate there is no way at all to justify claims that it was global warming that caused the California fires and not dreadful public policy. From refusing to remove deadwood from forests to not storing enough water to shutting off electricity needed to run pumps to DEI hiring in Las Angeles fire deparment to giving it's fire equipment to Ukraine and cutting the LAFD's budget, everything they have done worked together to cause this disaster. It had nothing to do with "climate change".
Dimwittia Dana Griswold Criswell, Obama's FEMA director, blames Global Warming for the fires of Mordor of so cal.

Does this scale of devastation in Los Angeles indicate that we as a country, are just simply not prepared for the realities of the climate crisis?”

Only a few niggling problems with this claim. First, California has just gotten past a period of TOO MUCH RAIN which actually had reservoirs over-full. Since 2022 the state has been above average on rainfall. So how is that "climate change" related?
And the summer of 2023 was the coolest summer they've had for over a decade. That's the New York Times making this claim, not Breitbart. Temperatures fell all over the state.
Last year was the quietest spring in years in California, I might add.
So how is "climate change" responsible for the fires? As of December of last year California's precipittation was above average so one cannot blame this on lack of rain. Certainly one cannot blame empty fire hydrants on climate change.
But of course our government overlords, never willingt to let a good crisis go to waste, are now proclaiming 2024 the hottest year on record since record keeping began in a lame attempt to keep their climate change grift alive.
They arrive at that by downplaying previous temperature data from hot periods like the 1930's via "data smoothing" and other statistical tricks. But it's a lie and they know it.
Not sure where it was so hot. certainly not in the Midwest where we had perhaps one or two days above 100* all summer and winter temperatures were not exactly sultry.
NASa and NOAA rely on people not knowing what it is doing elsewhere then they fib about it.
At any rate there is no way at all to justify claims that it was global warming that caused the California fires and not dreadful public policy. From refusing to remove deadwood from forests to not storing enough water to shutting off electricity needed to run pumps to DEI hiring in Las Angeles fire deparment to giving it's fire equipment to Ukraine and cutting the LAFD's budget, everything they have done worked together to cause this disaster. It had nothing to do with "climate change".

Facebook Board in Rebellion

The board of Meta appear to be in rebellion against Zuckerberg for his plan to loosen up censorship on the international chat room.
Zuck needs to sack them.
They accuse Zuckerberg of bowing to political pressure. Well, yes, he is but he bowed to political pressure BEFORE when he agreed to censor people in the first place.
What is a free speech platform other than a place for FREE speech? Why bother if a group of self-appointed "experts" are going to tell you what to think and what to say?
Zuck at least had the sense to realize he was going to kill Facebook if he didn't go back to the old standards. Apparently his woke board doesn't grasp that.

Battywoman

Battywoman is still playing with Covid in Gain of Function experiments despite the whole world being plunged into the abyss by tinkering with SARS Covid 2 genes.

BTW a Battyman is a homosexual in Jamaican slang - Bat is slang for buttocks. That's why it's funny that the old Underdog cartoon had as one of it's principle villains Battyman. In this case she's a batty woman, even if her sexuality isn't in question (I assume).
There are things Man is not meant to play with. Creating new and deadly diseases is just one such.
There was a novel by Frank Herbert I ready years ago called The White Plague. In it a molecular biologist who happened to be rich saw his wife and children killed by a car bomb in Northern Ireland he plotted a terrible revenge - a disease that was 100% lethal in women and benign in men, so al lthe men in Ireland would suffer as did he. But of course the disease spread beyond Ireland and Britain (the places he attacked) and it mutated.
It was a very good novel, well worth reading.
The point was and remains it's foolish and dangerous to play with such things. Yet here we are gambling with our own existence. Even Richard Nixon was wise enough to ban biological weapons.
And since the equipment to do gene splicing is becoming increasingly inexpensive the dangers metastasize; some fool will start the last plague.
Plagues can indeed wipe out whole species and have done so in times past. And these are naturally occurring diseases. We are actually tailoring diseases to kill people, and that will make it much, much harder to control if the disease mutates and gets otu of hand.
I really do worry about this. Oh, and the Bible warns of terrible diseases in the Last Days; in fact one of the four horsemen is a pale horse, symbolizing disease.
Yet here we have battywomen like this chick working to create terrible life forms and risk humanity's existence.
I see no way to stop this genetic research, alas. I fear the only solution is to wait for something so terrible the survivors hate genetic manipulation as badly as we hate cannibalism.
