FAIR’s most recent comprehensive fiscal cost study showed that illegal aliens and their U.S.-born children impose a net annual cost of $150.6 billion per year on American taxpayers as of the beginning of 2023.
According to the previous (2017) cost study, the annual net cost of illegal migration was approximately $116 billion.[2] This means that in the short span of 5 years, the annual cost to American taxpayers has increased by nearly $35 billion.

There is widespread evidence that the Sahara was periodically vegetated in the past, with the proliferation of rivers, lakes, and water-dependent animals such as hippos, before it became what is now desert. These North African Humid Periods may have been crucial in providing vegetated corridors out of Africa, allowing the dispersal of various species, including early humans, around the world.
The so-called ‘greenings’ are thought to have been driven by changes in Earth’s orbital conditions, specifically Earth’s orbital precession. Precession refers to how Earth wobbles on its axis, which influences seasonality (i.e. the seasonal contrast) over an approximate 21,000-year cycle. These changes in precession determine the amount of energy received by the Earth in different seasons, which in turn controls the strength of the African Monsoon and the spread of vegetation across this vast region.

A major barrier to understanding these events is that the majority of climate models have been unable to simulate the amplitude of these humid periods, so the specific mechanisms driving them have remained uncertain.

The results confirm the North African Humid Periods occurred every 21,000 years and were determined by changes in Earth’s orbital precession. This caused warmer summers in the Northern Hemisphere, which intensified the strength of the West African Monsoon system and increased Saharan precipitation, resulting in the spread of savannah-type vegetation across the desert.
The findings also show the humid periods did not occur during the ice ages when there were large glacial ice sheets covering much of the high latitudes. This is because these vast ice sheets cooled the atmosphere and suppressed the tendency for the African monsoon system to expand. This highlights a major teleconnection between these distant regions, which may have restricted the dispersal of species, including humans, out of Africa during the glacial periods of the last 800,000 years.

Both Herodotus in 440 BC and Strabo in 23 AD discussed this greening in their writings, which suggests that there is cyclical increases in rainfall in the region.
So, warmer summers in the Northern Hemisphere led to this greening. And all without carbon dioxide. Amazing! This warming related to the Earth's orbit.
But, but, but...it's all industrial emissions and we're all going to DIEEEEEEE.....
BTW this directly contradicts the ridiculous claims that it is industrial emissions causing the greening in the Sahara.

In point of fact we developed computer technology to do this precisely because we instinctively understood that 's how our brains work. There was a mechanism we were trying to replicate. That we hit on the logical solution should not surprise us; it's what works in this universe.
I don't mean to be overly critical here. I know they want to actually find a way to work out the math for all this. I am pointing out that common sense - that oft-neglected and despised concept - in the end proves the rule.
BTW How can such a system evolve via random mutations? The brain architecture has to be in place for it to work in the first place.

It is known that four important non-metals reside inside the Mantle of all planets, bound to metals.
Carbon, Sulfur, Oxygen, Hydrogen.
Under the extreme heat and pressure at the Core-Mantle Boundary (2900 km down), Iron Sulfides melt, producing molten Iron for the Outer Core while the lighter Sulfur fraction percolates upward to react with oxygen furnished from the conversion of Iron Oxide into H phase Iron. Sulfur is oxidized (burned) and the entire spectrum of sulfur-based acids are formed in the Lower Mantle.
At approx. 350 km down in the Upper Mantle there are huge reservoirs of molten carbonate minerals. The sulfur-based acids percolating up from the Lower Mantle decompose the massive carbonate layers to generate immeasurable amounts of CO and CO2, vastly exceeding any human activity. Researchers from the Univ. of London have determined that a carbonate reservoir lies beneath Yellowstone that covers and area larger than Mexico and varies 25 to 70 km thick. They further estimate than if just 1% of this carbonate layer were to decompose it would be equivalent to burning 2.3 trillion barrels of oil. Mind you that Yellowstone is only one of 40 to 50 similar "hot spots” in the world. All of these described reactions are exothermic (give off heat). None of these geochemical reactions have been included in the heat balance of the Earth.
The molten Iron/Nickel Outer Core is important in providing our magnetic field. Of course, the magnetic field deflects cosmic rays and the solar wind so Earth maintains its atmosphere as well as protects life on the surface from radiation.
Scientists are a bit uncertain about when Earth’s magnetic field formed. The general "consensus” is that Earth’s magnetic field formed at least 3.5 billion years ago but some evidence provided by examination of zircon minerals from Australia place the date at 4.2 billion years, about the time that anaerobic bacteria formed around hydrothermal vents. "Black smokers” form fumaroles (chimneys) comprised of metal sulfides which are the requisite for sulfur reduction, the power source for anaerobic bacteria.
The earliest photosynthetic life, Cyanobacteria, began approx. 3.5 billion years ago. This brings us to the Faint Young Sun Paradox. At that time the Sun was only 70 % as luminous as today. The Sun didn’t achieve its current luminosity until approx. 500 million years ago. I hypothesize that the initiation of solar flares drove the change in luminosity (The Sun is basically a delayed Fissoon Boost device - a separate discussion).
The Earth should not have had liquid water on the surface 4.2 to 3.5 billion years ago. The Earth should have been covered with glaciers if all we consider is warming from solar radiation. A lot of hand-waving papers claim that CO2 caused a Green House Gas effect to warm the planet. However, the latest word from NASA (in a burst of honesty) was that the GHG effect could not have warmed Earth sufficiently.
The dense atmosphere of Venus is comprised of 95 % CO2 and remainder is almost entirely sulfuric acid which forms the all-enshrouding clouds of sulfuric acids. Venus has a much weaker magnetic field than Earth but the great atmospheric density resists the solar wind so the atmosphere is preserved. The clouds of Venus rain liquid sulfuric acid. The CO2 and sulphuric acid were formed from millions of years of intense volcanism triggered by Tidal Pumping from the Sun. Astrophysicists think that Venus could still be volcanic, but certainly diminished as it has decomposed its reserviors of carbonate minerals.

First of all, let me make this clear: I do "believe” in evolution. There is a huge amount of evidence for it in the fossil record and in our DNA.
There are two aspects to evolution, one creative and the other destructive. Something continually generates new biological forms. That is the creative part.
Another aspect is destructive. Most new forms are not an improvement and so the process of competition with other forms causes these to be selected against. They die out.
The position of Intelligent Design is that mere random chance statistically cannot explain the sort of complex mutations that occur regularly. I believe their are 25 amino acids in DNA and they hook up to form letters in a word containing the information or code for assembling the structure of an enzyme or protein. Randomly varying these 25 letters will almost always produce nonsense.
Imagine an English sentence by Shakespeare containing 25 letters and then scrambling the letters randomly. How long will it take to form a coherent sentence that is an improvement on the original by a purely random process? A very long time. That is the argument of the Intelligent Design people (or at least part of the argument)
Of course, the conclusion that there is some Intelligent Mind continually directing evolution is an anathema to atheists. It is a shocking idea to many. Not because they have disproven the arguments made by the Intelligent Design people, who are mostly scholars and scientists. No it is because they don’t like the idea of God because of all the bizarre theories of gods and goddesses that have been popular in different times and cultures. They find it distasteful. So they reject the ideas of Intelligent Design theorists, usually by calling them names.
That is fine with me. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, so long as you don’t try to force me to agree with it. Atheists have a right to be atheists if that is their religion of choice. It means that either they have no idea how our universe was created, or that they think it formed somehow with NO intelligent input. I personally find this impossible to agree with.

A couple of points here Bob.
First, there is a difference between Evolution and Darwinism. The former was actually the work of a number of scientists over the centuries, particularly churchmen. Darwinism was a specific theory to explain WHY species evolved, not if. If had largely been settled, and when Darwin came along the predomonant theory was Lamarckianism, which said something in the species changed with changes in the environment. That theory has returned via epigenetics, I might add. At Darwin's time they didn't know anythin g about DNA or chromosomes.
What Darwin did was provide his theory of Natural Selection in which there are random mutations and the species thrives if selected and dies if not.
Darwin arrived at this after reading Thomas Malthus. So did Henry Wallace and the two men discussed this at length. Darwin realized Wallace was about to publish and hustled out with Origin of Species to trump Wallace. (Wallace had done less field work so his efforts weren't as well documented, slowing him down.)
At any rate Darwin was an atheist, being angry at Christianity. Wallace was the opposite and thought this would actually enhance the Christian worldview.
A few more points.
Fred Hoyle calculated the probability of obtaining all of life's approximate 2000 enzymes as about one-in-10 40,000. The life of the universe was not adequate. Hoyle was a devout atheist and so he came up with the Steady State theory, which said the universe always existed, to get around this. But as the solar system is far too young he had to create Panspermia, the idea that life came from elsewhere, to explain THAT problem.
I would add there are two kinds of panspermia - directed and undirected. Directed panspermia would be a variant of Intelligent Design; the whole point of ID is life shows evidence of design. It doesn't say by whom.
At any rate Darwin has largely been superseded by modern theory. We now know viruses add characteristics
One last word; Karl Marx wanted to dedicate Das Kapital to Darwin; he had based his economic theory on Natural Selection, which itself was based on the economic theory of Malthus. (Both Darwin and Wallace said they got the idea after reading Malthus' Essay on the Principles of Population.) Darwin wisely declined the honor offered by Marx. But both Marxism and Fascism had Darwinian theory at it's root. It produced remarkably bad fruit.

This is a story most won't see as anything but a bit of hating on a rich woman. But it bespeaks a very deep dissatisfaction with what is going on in this country and bodes very ill for the Democrats - and the ruling class in general.

Ultimately this is their mess and they want us to help clean it up. Oprah supported the people and polices that made the disaster in Hawaii occur in the first place.
When the public becomes deeply dissatisfied as now something will happen. Usually that is a change in the Administration. We can only hope.
Dissatisfaction may be peaking now though, which is why the media is reporting it; they want to peak it and then ride the riptide. Or so they hope.
Still, the public is not happy.

Don't believe for a second that there is no an internationalist socialist movement that is hell bent on radical change around the world.
This is a prime example.
Just as with the J6 people, particularly the Proud Boys, the courts in Brazil have thrown the book at protesters resisting the election theft by the Marxist Lula Da Silva.
Just as here they are calling it an "insurrection" and gave 17 and 14 year prison sentences to two protesters.
This is apparently how dissent is handled these days.
51-year-old Aecio Pereira and 43-year-old Thiago Mathar were accused of inciting an insurrection and the Brazilian Suprme Court (full of Lula Da Silva appointees from before Bolsinaro's time) voted to toss these people in prison for over a decade for protesting.
Pereira made a video of himself at the Senate's President's table! The MONSTER!
And Mathar was caught invading the President's office suite. I mean, that deserves fifteen years easily, right?
The Communists appear to have won.
