The State of the Bunion, or how Corny can Joe Biden Get?

Timothy Birdnow

So last night the current squatter tenant on Pennsylvania Ave. made his State of the Bunion comedy show, and I felt rather violated after, much like the young girl who goes out on a date with the older man who learns a sad lesson on how smarmy creeps will treat her virginity. Biden attempted to date-rape America  and I felt soiled after.

The wife and I had discussed making a drinking game of it, taking a drink every time he lied, but it was obvious we would wind up in need of hospitalization afterwards had we done so. Mr. Biden told so many whoppers with such frequency that had he been Pinnochio his nose would have extended clear above the atmosphere. We wouldn't need a space elevator for achieving LEO - we'd just sent payloads up his elongated snout.

At any rate, for reasons of liver health, we decided to forego the drinking when lying game. Good decision.

The hair sniffer-in-chief treated us to a dazzling display as he tried to get into America's metaphorical pants. At one point he said "I have your back" and it made me quite concerned about what he was DOING back there.

Going over the laundry list of lies would require more words than the original speech.

For instance, he claimed to have created all these jobs. That's a lie. He may have RESTORED jobs that had been there prior to his Coming, but that was going to happen when the pandemic was over anyway, another thing he took credit for even though he himself extended the state of emergency yet again.

He claimed the economy was in freefall when he took office, but the numbers do not bear that out. Even CNN, the political Don Quixote ever tilting and the Trumpian windmill, admitted the economy was roaring back That was in 2019. At that time the Trump-haters sneered these were jobs coming back. Now we are supposed to believe Joe Biden created jobs.

New York Shipping Illegals to Canada

Timothy Birdnow

After attacking Texas for shipping illegal aliens to New York, the good people of the Big Apple are now shipping them completely out of the country - and screwing our northern neighbor in the process!

And the Canadians aren't happy at all about it!

New York City mayor Eric Adams told Fox 5 that his administration was assisting migrants who had been sent to his city but wanted to go elsewhere.

"Some want to go to Canada, some want to go to warmer states, and we are there for them as they continue to move on with their pursuit of this dream," Mr Adams said.

The New York Post has reported that migrants in New York City are being given free bus tickets to Plattsburgh, New York state, about 20 miles (32km) south of the Canadian border. From there, they pay taxis and shuttles to take them to Quebec.

Quebec immigration minister Christine Fréchette told reporters in Montreal that the development was "surprising".

She said it highlighted the need to "solve the problem of Roxham Road", referring to an unofficial border crossing south of Montreal used by thousands of asylum seekers every year.

"I think it makes the urgency of the situation even more apparent," Ms Fréchette said, adding that Canada and the US were negotiating to update the Safe Third Country Agreement.

The treaty, signed in 2002, requires migrants to make an asylum claim in the first country they enter, whether it is the US or Canada.

But it only applies at official border crossings, which Roxham Road is not. This loophole allows the migrants arriving from New York to have their asylum cases heard by Canadian immigration authorities.

New York City has an ongoing migrant crisis, as states on the southern US border bus newly arrived migrants to America's most populous city.

The trouble with moral high-horses is that they are so hard to climb down off of when times change.

The choice is binary: You can either have a school science curriculum actually driven by science.

Or you can have one driven by other factors, such as political ones, the dominant of which today are generally categorized as "wokeness.”

More and more it's the latter, and the latest story comes to us from Arizona.

Why Spy with a Balloon?

Willis Eschenbach

Spy satellites are at about 18 times the altitude of the balloon. So balloon photos will contain 18 times the detail as satellite photos.

Next, the balloon was able to hover over our military bases for hours and hours, allowing real-time video showing details of military movements and changes. Since it's hoovering up all communications as well, it can connect orders with actions and penetrate codes. On the other hand, satellites only get one quick pass over every given point on the earth every five days or so.

Next, the balloon can drop tiny solar-powered listening devices to allow ongoing surveillance. Did it do so? Unknown, but assuredly possible.

Finally, it spent time over Alaska, where if you shot it down the chance of hitting anyone is vanishingly small. The same is true in Montana. You just time your shot so it's over wilderness and not over Anchorage or Missoula, duh.

Overall? It's just more proof that "President" Xiao Bai-Den's Crime Family is a fully owned subsidiary of the Chinese Communist Party.

CO2 May be Cooling the Earth

Jim Shepherd

Scientists Discover That Higher Carbon Dioxide Levels are Cooling Many Parts of the Planet – The Daily Sceptic
dailysceptic.org

This is the scientific paper from which the article is based upon:
https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-023-35799-4

Tim adds:

In the early days of the debate there was solid disagreement about the effects of CO2 in this instance. There were those who argued it DID raise planetary temperatures - by up to two degrees - but that would lead to more cloud cover and a resultant cooling. A negative feedback.

This is the whole point of the climate sensitivity debate. Early on the media reported this but stopped because "The Science is Settled" they falsely claimed.

Increasing planetary albedo means cooling. Interestingly enough the last twenty years have not seen any real increase in planetary albedo, meaning the planet is not warming and evaporating water into the air. (which fits with Henrick Svensmark's theory of cosmic ray-driven cloud formations; the sun is less active than in the nineties and we have seen less cloud formation as a result.)

Operation ‘Dump Kamala’ Is Officially On

Dana Mathewson

Here is a great Steven Hayward article in Power Line. It's moderately long, but you'll really want to read the whole thing!

I like to say that I read the New York Times so that you don’t have to (plus I can claim an online subscription as a tax deduction, which helps), but today is one of those days you wish you had a subscription for the amazing "news” feature on the dismal future prospects of Kamala Harris. Here’s the hed:

This "news story” was reported by three Times journalists, but what is the actual "news” that would prompt such an article? Did she collapse while being bundled into a van on a campaign swing? Did she seem to suffer a stroke mid-sentence, like her boss? No: this story has all the hallmarks of agenda journalism untethered to any actual news event.

The article quotes almost no one by name, relying on the favorite media source in politics—”Anonymous”—supposedly for fear of offending the Biden White House. Maybe, but more likely this is a premier instance of "ventriloquist journalism,” where you find a source (and "anonymous” courses are best of all, even when they aren’t made up) to ratify a preexisting story line. In other words, the Times editors decided the time had some to put out a more explicit hit piece on Kamala, and assigned their best political reporters to run the usual playbook. A story like this doesn’t just happen without editorial deliberation.

The resulting article is stunning in its negative portrayal of Harris:

But the painful reality for Ms. Harris is that in private conversations over the last few months, dozens of Democrats in the White House, on Capitol Hill and around the nation — including some who helped put her on the party’s 2020 ticket — said she had not risen to the challenge of proving herself as a future leader of the party, much less the country. Even some Democrats whom her own advisers referred reporters to for supportive quotes confided privately that they had lost hope in her.

Through much of the fall, a quiet panic set in among key Democrats about what would happen if President Biden opted not to run for a second term. Most Democrats interviewed, who insisted on anonymity to avoid alienating the White House, said flatly that they did not think Ms. Harris could win the presidency in 2024. Some said the party’s biggest challenge would be finding a way to sideline her without inflaming key Democratic constituencies that would take offense.

Now with Mr. Biden appearing all but certain to run again, the concern over Ms. Harris has shifted to whether she will be a political liability for the ticket.

I imagine Dan Quayle and the ghost of Spiro Agnew are smiling right now.

This passage is especially fun:

No one feels the frustration of being underestimated more acutely than Ms. Harris, but she makes a point of not exhibiting it publicly. In an interview with The New York Times while she was in Japan last fall, she tried to explain her own political identity.

"You got to know what you stand for and, when you know what you stand for, you know what to fight for,” Ms. Harris said.

What that translates to in tangible terms is less clear.

Anti-Grooming Bill in Missouri Attacked by NBC Affiliated KSDK

Timothy Birdnow

Now, I usually limit my news watching on the telly (as the Brits would say) to keep my blood pressure in normal range. But yesterday I flipped the t.v. on and St. Louis' NBC affiliate had local news running. I figured "what can possibly upset me with local news?"

Wrong.

KSDK ran a story on a proposed law here in Missouri that would restrict activist perverts, er, teachers from promoting and recruiting for transgenderism in primary grades. Much like the horribly misnamed Florida "Don't Say Gay" law it would make teachers actually teach kids and not steer them into life-changing courses at an early age despite the parent's wishes.

KSDK was obviously angry about this. They called it (via the critics they dug up) the most stringent anti-gay legislation ever (it is not anti-gay or anti-trans or anti-anything else; it is simply enforcing decency where children too young to understand the subject matter are concerned.)

They interviewed NOBODY from the Missouri legislature. They interviewed NOBODY from any pro-family group or church. They DID interview some obvious sodomite who whined about how oppressive it was. Then they excused the activist teachers by claiming "It is an unnecessary law. Parents may opt their children out of mandatory sex education classes."

But that's purposely missing the point. This is going on well beyond sex ed classes and KSDK full well knows it. It's happening in English classes, in history classes, in all classes where radicals have taken charge.

It's purpose is to stop intentional recruitment and the twisting of innocent young minds. It's to give parents the authority and right to teach kids about such things as opposed to self-appointed gurus.

KSDK knows this, or should if they are going to run stories about it. They pointed none of this out but only presented the critics point of view (aka the sodomites.)

This is a classic brainwashing technique by the Left, one they've used for generations. They promote some crazy, evil idea. When there is pushback they attack those who resist, and distort their arguments with multiple dancing straw men. The media trumpets the straw man arguments and then demands to know why the opponents of said initiative hate children and want to hurt them. The whole issue is a lie from the moment the news anchor opens his or her mouth. They don't espouse it directly though; just get some mouthpiece from the radical side to criticize and do not offer equal time to the others.

Only a real deviant would think it is o.k. to promote transsexualism (or homosexuality, or regular sexuality, or any sexuality at all) to six or seven year olds. It is NOT what parents send their children to school to learn. They can teach it themselves if they think the kid is mature enough. But it has no place in a school setting.

Furthermore, sex ed has no place in schools. To say parents can opt their kids out is ludicrous; the schools shouldn't force parents to opt out. They shouldn't be doing this at all.

I attended Catholic school and we had no sex ed. Didn't need it; we learned it from our parents, or from the culture (which is drenched in sex ed.) Sex ed CLASSES would be perhaps acceptable if they taught abstinence, but mostly they teach girls to put condoms on cucumbers and teach how to masturbate and perform unspeakable sex acts. I won't bore everyone with the details; we know some of the more egregious things taught by the sex ed perverts teachers.

And yet here we have a local news program clearly angry about a law that says teachers may not meddle with very personal issues of families, ones that have nothing to do with child abuse (the abusers are the promoters of early sexuality and eunuch-making.) It is a law the sole purpose of which is to take sex OUT of the schools, especially for small children in primary grades. Kids learning colors or numbers do not need to learn about cross-dressing and anal sex.

Just a few years ago this would have revolted America. Now Channel 5 News is promoting it, and angry the State of Missouri wants to stop the sexual grooming of our children.

Sodom is starting to look like a convent.

Chicom Balloon Perfedt Height for EMP

Timothy Birdnow

You know, that Chinese balloon was a perfect height for an EMP attack:
May be an image of map and text that says 'CAUSES & LIKELIHOOD OF THE THREAT NUCLEAR HEMP AREA COVERAGE 150551 50S 140W 45枚 400 km 300 km Churchill 200 km 50W 40% 100 km 35H 60W Francisco 30M #Los Angeles York WashingtonDC Washington DC 130W 25枚 Atlanta 208 15H 120W 110h Mexico 100W 70k 80W EMP field coverage increases with increasing eight-of-burst. balloon or jet aircraft could loft nuclear warhead to an altitude of 30 kilometers which, targeted over New York City, would also cover Washington, D.C. New York State, New Jersey,Pennsylvania, Delaware and most ofNew England. Dela WHY THIS IS VERY LIKELY IN YOUR LIFETIME'

One would think the U.S. would detect a floating nuke and take action - even at the risk of Americans being hit by the debris. One would think.

Nothing is certain with the people now in charge though.

Biden, U.S. Nixed Russia/Ukraine Peace Deal

Maurizio Morabito

Michael Tracey from Twitter >>

Former Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett just confirmed what any rational observer could assume: Russia and Ukraine reached a preliminary agreement during the first phase of the war - "Both sides wanted a ceasefire," Bennett said - but the U.S. "has it" stuck".

Bennett was one of the few world leaders considered impartial and trustworthy by both Putin and Zelensky. So when the invasion happened, he quickly took on the role of mediating "shuttle diplomacy". He said he personally facilitated communications between Russian and Ukrainian negotiators.

On March 5, 2022, nine days after the invasion, Bennett secretly went to Moscow and met Putin. Bennett says Putin agreed to two "major concessions": the waiver of "denazification" of Ukraine, understood as a regime change, and the waiver to "disarm" Ukraine.

Bennett says that at the same time as this -- again, based on his direct and intense involvement in daily negotiations -- Zelensky also agreed to a "major concession" and would officially forfeit NATO membership.

"I told myself though, it's a huge change," Bennett recounts. Talking about this publicly for what claims to be a first, Bennett was pressured by interviewer on what success odds he had given a diplomatic deal last March/April.

Bennett insisted there was at least a "more than 50% chance of a deal.”

"Everything that I did was coordinated in every detail with the United States, Germany and France," Bennett said. As an impartial mediator, he said, it was not his job to make prescriptive decisions on the correct political choice. "I'm addressing America on this," he admitted.

Bennett says he has been in constant contact with Jake Sullivan, sometimes Blinken, sometimes Biden himself. There was a "decision by the West to keep hitting Putin," he says - and it's clear he's talking about the US as a decisive player.

Even more decisive than Ukraine or Russia .

Because when it was time to get serious and the parameters of a diplomatic deal were mutually agreed upon by both Ukraine and Russia "They blocked it," Bennett said, i.e. the United States. "And I thought they were wrong."

Listing some of the "downside" of this decision, Bennett cites for example: the casualties accumulated during the war, the destruction of Ukraine's infrastructure, the negative impact on international food supply, the rise in energy costs, large-scale immigration.

The "on the bright side” is what he says is a "stand” that was made: "President Biden created an alliance with an aggressor, in the overall perception of the matter.” And this is reflected in other arenas like Taiwan."

So on one hand, mass death. Biden, on the other hand, took a "stand.”

For some reason it is still controversial in certain environments to make the factual observation banally obvious that U.S. policy all along has been to *fuel and expand war* - not reduce it. So, for the naysayers, here's another glaring proof.

And as for Naftali Bennett, please note: I'm not "taking him at his word", I'm reporting the words he uttered in recent days on a critical sequence of events in which he was personally involved. curious to hear theories as to why he would have lied<< https://twitter.com/mtracey/status/1622636568165986304?s=20&t=3rsfdoFqOpZGINuPOdXpsA

They All Know

Al Moscowitz

I want you to read this VERY carefully. It's not long and it's worth your time - trust me!

For the first time, the nations of the world decided to help pay for the damage an overheating world is inflicting on poor countries, but they finished marathon climate talks on Sunday without further addressing the root cause of those disasters — the burning of fossil fuels.

Let me translate this for you.

Everyone who pushes for the reduction of Carbon, except for the most foolish among them, KNOWS that burning of coal, oil and natural gas has absolutely NOTHING to do with the condition of the climate on earth.

This has been and is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY... nothing more...

Let me repeat the above...

"For the first time, the nations of the world decided to help pay for the damage an overheating world is inflicting on poor countries, but they finished marathon climate talks on Sunday without further addressing the root cause of those disasters — the burning of fossil fuels."

And one more time for those who still don't get it.

"...but they finished marathon climate talks on Sunday without further addressing the root cause of those disasters — the burning of fossil fuels."

They came up with a payment deal but no further agreements on reduction talks. Still think that they don't understand. They KNOW that CO2 doesn't cause problems... They also know that the irrational fear that it invokes is a good way to gain access to HUGE amounts of money.

If there is any solace in this, MAYBE, just maybe someone with a brain in congress (good luck finding that as there are less than 50 today who fit that description) can use this situation to point out just how ridiculous this war on fossil fuel has become...

MAYBE? Alright, maybe not... but now you know.

It was NOT a Weather Balloon

Dr. Roy Spencer is a meteorologist who headed up NASA's sateliite data department (which used to be at odds with the land-based Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) and it's head James Hanson, the guru of Global Warming. He moved on to the University of Alabama Huntsville and runs one of the few satellite data centers studying climate in the world.

Dr. Spencer would know if the Chinese balloon was for studying the weather or not.

Roy W. Spencer:

The Chinese reconnaissance balloon: Obviously not for weather, way too big (expensive) and of little to no practical use for meteorology.

It's in the lower stratosphere, where the steering currents can be quite different than in the jet stream (much slower windspeed, although the direction this time of year might be generally the same).

The fact it crossed through Alaska, Montana, and now into the Ohio Valley toward the East Coast suggests its launch and altitude placement was carefully planned.

My first guess is that this is a "trial balloon" to (1) see how America reacts, and to (2) test their skill at being able to carry a payload in a desired direction. I have no idea what kind of future payload they are considering.

These aquifers will refill in time. And if they don't? Who cares?  We can then find new sources of fresh water. Pipe it in. Desalinate. The Earth is lousy with water. Nine tenths of it's surface is covered with the stuff.

They Up and Got Away with their Chinese Spy Balloon

Timothy Birdnow

With apologies to the 5th Dimension:

We would  like to spy, with  our Chinese spy balloon
Way up nice and high
from Maelstrom Base to Camp Lejune
It can float above your U.S. soil  so good and high
Just don't ask why

Shut up and Obey
Joe Biden, Joe Biden you fool

We're flying all the way
With our Chinese spy balloon
We'll drop off Biden's pay
Have it there by after noon
We will sail along though we don't belong
you won't do a thing
Orders of  Xi Jinping, Xi Jinping!

Up, up and away
in our Chinese, our Chinese Spy Balloon!

Floating over Secure Facilities
We'll search your secret abilities
if by some dim chance
you should look askance
and our balloon you expose
if you  wake Joe Biden from his doze
we'll just sing a silly  tune
about a weather balloon
to the buffoon

Yes, we'd really dare
to spy with our Chinese, our Chinese  spy balloon
we don't have a care
with Joe Biden in the room
He's too busy with electric cars and his ice cream
we couldn't dream
of a better chance, just watch him dance

We got away, with our Chinese spy, our Chinese spy  balloon

We got away, we got away.

Biden Claims Balloon Surveillance Started Under Trump

Carlos Velazquez

Obviously contradictory statement. If they were previously undetected, how do they know it happened?

"U.S. intelligence, not the Biden administration" assesses that "PRC (People's Republic of China) government surveillance balloons transited the continental U.S. briefly at least three times during the prior administration and once that we know of at the beginning of this administration, but never for this duration of time."
"They went undetected," the official told Fox News Digital. The official explained that Chinese surveillance balloons are "part of a larger pattern."
"These balloons are all part of a PRC fleet of balloons developed to conduct surveillance operations, which have also violated the sovereignty of other countries," the official explained, adding that these activities are "often undertaken at the direction of the People’s Liberation Army."

Tim adds:

Convenient - they blame Trump for it with that "at least three times" horsepoop. Donald Trump would not have allowed something like that to happen. It's not his style. This is an obvious act of misinformation.

Biden probably thought it was a balloon for his birthday. Sang "Happy Birthday" to himself all during the NSC meetings...

The EV Grift

Warner Todd Huston observes:

There is only ONE reason the left is pushing to eliminate gas-powered cars and go to all electric vehicles. It is because they KNOW there isn't enough lithium in the world to make as many EVs as would be needed to replace ALL the gas cars. But, they don't care because the goal is to eliminate people's cars. Not to put people in EVs. They want very few people to own a car. They want all private cars eliminated. They want to take away our freedom of movement.

Tim adds:

Exactly. The only reason for the EV push is to act as a Trojan Horse, to get people to move to unworkable electric.

The fact is EV's would be impractical from a price standpoint without government subsidies and they know this is a systemic thing, not a matter of supply and demand only. Too many expensive things need to go into building these vehicles. And once they are established the price will not only skyrocket, but there will be safety concerns raised and a host of new government regulations will be imposed to make them unaffordable.

Then the Left will unveil the solution to the "crisis" - public transit! It's what hey have dreamt of for decades and promoted to little effect.

BTW you can't control something you can't catch; they want to corral and pen us like the cowboys did with wild mustangs in the old days.
