According to Rassmussen Joe Biden's approval rating is back down to 39% after the bump he received from the Ukraine war and his SOTU.
He got as high as 44% on March 7 but is dropping back down.
As of March 22 he is at 21% approval and 50% disapproval.
I don't see how his numbers are that high. I rather suspect they are not. Rasmussen is probably polling high as most of these polls tend to count Democrats (who have all day to take such polls as few work.)
Biden has been unable to crack 50% since June in his first year. That is fairly amazing.

Most of the "correct predictions" did not require expertise. Any fool knew how this would likely play out. The Russians did not have adequate troops on the border to just roll through a U.S. armed defending country.
And Putin did this by his old playbook. It wasn't exactly rocket science.
But it will be used to reclaim the secret police intel community's credibility. And divert attention from Joe Biden's many failures - high inflation, high gas prices, an open border, etc.
It's a win/win for everyone in the Ruling Class and a major loss for the average person - and especially for the Ukrainians.

Just before the pandemic hit, oil production reached a high of 13,100,000 barrels per day, a staggering 47% increase. Current production is down about 1,600,000 barrels per day, three times more than what we get from Russia. Attaboy, Joe.

Reliving the Nightmare of 1914 (We're Doing It Again)

David P. Goldman, who for many years wrote "undercover" with the name Spengler, offers this analysis as to what's going on now.
World War I had no good guys and no winners. France rightly sought the return of the provinces Germany had annexed in 1870. Russia rightly feared that German influence would sever its industrial centers and tax base in the Western parts of it its empire; England feared that Germany would encroach on its overseas empire; Germany feared that Russia’s railroad system would overcome its advantage in mobility and firepower. None of them wanted a war, but each of them decided that it was better to fight in 1914 than fight later at a disadvantage.
All of them acted rationally in the pursuit of their vital interests, but at the same stupidly as well as wickedly, and the ensuing world wars undid the achievements of a thousand years of Western civilization. We look back to 1914 in horror, and wonder how the leaders of the West could have been so pig-headed. Nonetheless, we are doing it again today.
That should be an object lesson for today’s Ukraine crisis. Vladimir Putin acted wickedly, and illegally, by invading Ukraine, but also rationally: Russia has an existential interest in keeping NATO away from his border. Russia will no more tolerate American missiles in Kyiv than the United States would tolerate Russian missiles in Cuba.
The United States could have averted a crisis by adhering to the Minsk II framework of local rule for the Russophone provinces of Eastern Ukraine within a sovereign Ukrainian state but chose instead to keep open Ukraine’s option to join NATO. That was rational, but also stupid: It backed Putin into a corner.
There is no excuse for Putin’s action, but there is an explanation that’s similar to one that applied to his forbears of 1914: Putin chose to attack before the West had the opportunity to arm Ukraine with sophisticated weapons that would raise the future cost of military action.

(Bloomberg) -- Americans could be cutting steaks and burgers from their diets as inflation soars, if beef-packer profit margins are any indication.
Processors like Tyson Foods Inc. and JBS USA are making the least amount of money per head of cattle slaughtered in more than two years, according to data from HedgersEdge LLC. That’s a sign that demand for the luxury meat is flagging.
Consumers more likely to splurge on steaks and chops when the stock market is up. That’s in doubt as Russia’s invasion of Ukraine pressures markets. Meat prices are part of what’s behind soaring inflation that’s the worst in four decades, and consumers are getting sticker shock.
"On the demand side, the concern is discretionary spending,†said Don Roose, president of brokerage U.S. Commodities Inc. in West Des Moines, Iowa. "Will consumers look to cheaper proteins or will they skip proteins?â€
Estimated profit margins for beef packers fell to $102.45 per head Tuesday. That’s the around the lowest since before the coronavirus pandemic began early in 2020. During the outbreak, workers inside slaughterhouses caught the virus and forced plants to close, limiting the amount of beef available and sending prices soaring to record highs. Packer margins peaked at $1,009.30 per head in May 2020, adding to criticism of pandemic profiteering by meat companies.
I told everyone they were coming in my American Thinker article "Where's the Beef" in 2007.The Left has promoted meatless or low-meat diets for decades. Some think eating animals is cruel - as did Adolf Hitler. Others think Americans live too well and want to punish us. Others still want an international cuisine.
It takes pounds of animal feed to produce a pound of beef. The Left finds that disgraceful, and thinks we should be growing grain to feed the poor. They want us eating like the Chinese, rice balls and tofu and perhaps a little rabbit or bird on special occasions.
And they've tried to find ways to get this. Cow farts, for instance, are blamed for global warming. Get rid of cows to save the planet!
So this shouldn't surprise anyone. What is surprising is it took this long. They will keep the prices up as long as they can, hoping people change their tastes.
They are such manipulative scoundrels.
